a real haven of peace. Unfortunately, we only spent one night on our Canal du Midi route. But what a relaxing time... Clean, spacious, quiet accommodation. there is nothing to repeat. Hosts were also very responsive to each of our questions. i highly recommend it

We really enjoyed our stay with Erick and Isabelle - they are wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome, including organising a tasting of local Corbières wines, and a separate vinegar tasting. The house is beautiful, and very well equipped - for dinner, we could take our pick between bbqing outside on the terrace or cooking in the kitchen. For swimming, we were spoilt for choice, able to swim in the pool as well as in the river below the house. The countryside around the house is great for walks (and the nearby village is easily walkable), but it is quite remote, so a car is needed to get around, and to visit almost any of the nearby sights beyond the village. It was an amazing holiday, and having this great place to stay was a really important part of it!

A small studio in a peaceful village. Great for two people. The studio is quite functional, very well appointed and quiet. Attached to the old village church with garden views. A very nice terrace for eating out. In the area there are many beautiful hikes to do. We had a wonderful extended weekend at François's and we will definitely be back.

Very quiet and beautiful place, away from the hustle and bustle of the cities. A haven of peace in the middle of nature, ideal for those looking for this. Hosts are very available and hospitable. Although we did not speak the same language, they have always made an effort so that we understood each other and they were very kind. The two dogs are also very friendly :)

We had a wonderful few days of peace and quiet at Marike and Hans’ studio. Our hosts were so very nice. Such interesting people and warm and welcoming. Marike even brought a small gift and made us homemade Limoncello ice cream when she discovered it was my husband’s birthday! The studio was perfect for us, clean, bright and well-equipped. We loved the area which is very beautiful and meant we spent our time chilling, walking and only driving short distances. We visited the Gorges de Galamus and the pretty villages of Lagrasse and Salza and walked our dog for miles in the beautiful woodlands and along the river close to the studio. Marike’s artwork is displayed in the studio and is a pleasure to wake up to each morning. Anna, their lovely golden retriever is another bonus. Marike and Hans live close by but are very discreet and the studio, with its separate garden, feels private and secluded. We would love to return!

Jean Claude and Chantal were extremely welcoming, responsive and kind. They provided us with lots of invaluable information about the area, invited us to the local celebrations and explained the different walks and other activities available around Salza. The location is beautiful, a peaceful village in the heart of L'Aude. There are however plenty of things to do: 1. Visit the nearby Cathar Châteaux(s) 2. Visit the stunning villages of Termes and Lagrasse 3. Swim at various locations (I would reccommend Moulin de Ribaute) 4. Visit the market in Laroque de Fa which is held every Friday at 5:30pm to buy truly artesan products or play tennis at the town's courts 5. You are aproximately an hour and 15 minutes away from the closest beach 6. There is a farm with Alpacas 5 minutes away The studio is spotlessly clean with all the necessary appliances, very calm with no noise at night, the bed is very comfortable and there is netting on the windows so that no insects can get in. We had a lovely stay at the Amalia cottage. It was clean, pretty (we loved the cement tiles, the bathroom, the mirrors, the Venet masks...). Beautiful view from the bay window upstairs! Very well thought out in the layout and decor but also with the provision of books and DVDs, and lots of brochures on hikes and other activities nearby. Thanks to Fabienne for her availability and responsiveness (and her patience when the network during a walk didn't allow me to answer her). We recommend this cottage!
