Apartment vacation rentals in Vila Real

By far one of the nicest 1-BR Airbnb's we've stayed at. If you like contemporary architecture, lots of space, good natural light and an uncluttered apartment, this is the perfect spot for one or two people in Porto. Very central and touristy location, but the area is great to easily walk to restaurants, along the river or a metro ride across town. Comfortable bed in the back of the apartment, so it's a nice place to get a good night's sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped with nice tableware, a and a nice eating area. Hosts were easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

The view was beautiful. Loved waking up with a cup of coffee sitting on the little deck watching the boats and activity on the river. The location was perfect! Close to anything and everything you might need.

I'll write the review in English so it can reach everyone, as well as some tips for your stay. The apartment was in excellent condition, very well decorated and clean. The TV supports Youtube and Netflix. The hosts are super nice, the area is calm, perfect for night walks. As for my tips: Restaurants in the area are cheap and serve good food. If you plan on going to Stop, a medium dose of beef does feed 2 people for only 10€. Do note that the nearest supermarket is a 30min walk from the apartment, so if you're not bringing a car make sure to stock up on your first day!

Fantastic apartment right in the heart of charming Vila Real. The place had everything we needed and was an important factor in our enjoyment of the city and our vacation. Highly recommended.

My young daughter and I stayed with Maria for two nights. The experience was absolutely incredible. The photos do not fully capture the stunning beauty of the gardens and the surrounding landscape. We felt like we were in a fairy tale. Maria was so kind to provide us with breakfast foods in the fridge with breads we could bake ourselves so they would be warm and fresh and all sorts of coffee, juice and tea. The space itself was beautifully decorated with antique furniture pieces and artwork. We still had the convenience of very fast internet which was great! The bathroom was super clean and modern, the bedroom was spacious and had everything we needed. I cannot wait to find the opportunity to come back and stay in one of the most magical places I have ever been!! Thank you Maria!!

The appartment is gorgeous, very stylish, full of wooden details and interesting features - like closing off the kitchen from the living room, and the access to the bedrooms being invisible at first glance. The view is amazing, over the valley and the river, which is all the more surprising given how central this is located. Super close to the historical center. Recommend going to Pastelaria Gomes which kept a classic style.

Ana was a great host, the apartment was fully stocked and had so many special additions, like meat, cheese, and bread, fruit, eggs, and other breakfast foods in the pantry. Fresh bread on the door in the morning!! Wine in the refrigerator😃 Pinhao is great to explore and be a homebase. It was wonderful to relax on the balcony and play cards in the living room after a long day of fun.

This was the perfect spot for checking out Porto. All of the hotspots were within a 10-15 minute walk, with many cafes, pastelarias, and shops being within only a 5 minute walk. Even though it is centrally located in the heart of a busy city, once inside, the apartment has a very private feel with no city sounds whatsoever. The apartment was exactly as advertised, and the host was highly responsive to any questions/comments we had when messaging with her. This is the place you want to book when visiting Porto!

Marli is a very busy hard working person who always made time to help us and respond to questions we had. We enjoyed Armamar and Marli’s apartment. Quick access by car to the Douro River. Thank you again Marli.

Nice place right at the beach and about 15/20 from Porto City Center - an easy drive or take an Uber. Plenty of parking upfront. Well thought out rooms and all the amenities - very clean and tidy. Highly recommended!

Truly loved our stay at Paulo's place. Beautiful views of vinyards and hillsides with birds chirping in the trees. Paulo was friendly and helpful, offering advice on places to go and where to eat. Lovely restaurant located downstairs. I would recommend staying here for anyone looking to visit the Douro region. Train to Porto stops nearby at Aregos but don't let the short distance on the map deceive you. It's very hilly terrain and not walkable.

Beautiful renovated apartment in a historic location, lovely and comfortable for our short stay in Porto. Very clean, decorated nicely, and in a very fun part of town - we arrived around 11 on a Saturday night and passed so many cool bars and restaurants. We wished we had more time to stay. The window A/C was a must-have for us, and we were very grateful for it during a June heat wave. Beautiful apartment, would definitely stay again!

Wonderfully spacious place. A bit remote, but also nice and quiet. Everything present. Friendly owners. And delicious oranges from the tree for fresh juice! From here, you can quickly reach the Douro Valley.

It was a wonderful stay! The home was exactly as described - clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you need. Communication was smooth and quick, host was helpful and caring. We had three beautiful days at Quinta da Penada. A car is advisable to reach the steep mountain to the winery. But also to be able to do some leisure activities. Of course, you can also linger by the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the valley. It looks different every time. Of course, you should also try and enjoy the house wine. It is also sold locally. We got on very well with Quinta da Penada. Everything was clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and pleasantly large for two people. There was even a fridge in the room. We can also recommend the restaurant at the exit on the right side in Vidago towards the highway. Very friendly and good cuisine. A trip to Porto or the beach takes about 1.5 hours by car. So you can also stay a little longer in this beautiful place. Communication works well, Marco can always be reached via WhatsApp. We say thank you again!

We loved our stay at Jessica’s place. She was super responsive and friendly, and let us have a flexible check in. The location was lovely and peaceful, and easy to walk to a lot of restaurants. It was also clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend her place!

absolutely perfect location in Porto for a first time visitor. we were on the very top floor (unit 6) and barely heard any other guests. very clean apartment with just what we needed for a short stay. thank you for the easy check in instructions! my only feedback for the hosts: we wished the hot tub was available passed 2030 — we sadly did not get to enjoy it due to our short trip. my rec for those looking to book: try a unit on a lower floor if you have large suitcases as it was difficult to lug ours all the way to the top (ended a long trip in morocco here so this was totally our own doing!) otherwise would definitely stay here again. Thank you Porto!
