Monthly Rentals in Vigía Chico

This is a remarkable property fairly deep in the bioreserve. It was built just before the bioreserve was created, so it is "grandfathered" in. The home looks like something out of architectural digest. It isn't huge, but the design is second to none. We had a marvelous time. At night there were so many huge hermit crabs, plus there are iguanas, and osprey. Getting here is no joke. It is a solid 2 hours from Tulum town, including 1.5 hours or more of a very rough dirt road once you enter the bioreserve. It felt very similar to the Disneyland Indiana Jones ride minus the decor. We had a 4 wheel drive SUV rental and that was necessary. Rumor is they may work on the road again this summer (it has been a few years), but it will always be a dirt road since it is on the bioreserve. I hope I get to return here someday. If we do, I plan on staying here for a day or two before heading on to Punta Allen for a night to do a full-day boat tour to see the crocodiles and pink dolphins and such.

Highly recommend staying at Casa Godi! The location is unbeatable. Away from the hotel zone, but a short drive if you want to check out local restaurants, beach clubs, or bars. The road to the villa is bumpy, but it is such a minor inconvenience when compared to the quite, private beach and stunning views. The staff was incredible and made sure to take covid precautions and keep the space clean. There are so many common spaces in the home that my group of 12 felt comfortable and spacious at all times. The rooftop is also incredible at sunset. The chef Arley made the most delicious food! I would absolutely use the chef services that are available. The house manager also was amazing. He set us up with reservations and outings every day of our stay. He was so knowledgeable and also set up private shuttles for us when heading into the hotel zone and the airport. You will not be disappointed at Casa Godi!

Not knowing exactly what to expect we were genuinely pleased to arrive at our very own tropical resort. We put the very bumpy road behind us and enjoyed excellent food prepared by Eddie and a warm and generous stay orchestrated by Fila. A delightful woman who truly enjoys her guests and wants to make their week perfect. Our 3 year old loved it. Pool time and beach time just don't forget the sun screen and bug repellent. Plus cortisone for bites. As we left there were big dump trucks arriving hopefully to improve the road. Enjoyed seeing the heron, osprey and alligators in their natural habitat on the bay side. The beach on the saltwater side was also beautiful and was kept that way by the diligent staff who raked up the cruise ship trash on a daily basis. Great air and water temperatures .
