Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Velsen

My friend and I had a wonderful experience with this house, and the hospitality of Peter. He picked us up at the train station because it was already late (and dark outside), helped us with all our questions and was very friendly all the time. The house itself was also perfectly fine, we had everything we needed and more. I would definitely recommend this stay because of the house, the location but also because of Peter. We are planning on coming back soon.

Frans und Tessa haben ein fantastisches Auge für Design. Besonders das Erdgeschoss mit lichtdurchfluteter Küche und dem Esszimmer mit Zugang zum Garten waren gemütlich und einladend, um dort zu essen und schöne Abende zu verbringen. Am Steg konnte man die Seele baumeln lassen und die Nachbarn waren super freundlich. Bis nach Haarlem Zentrum sind es nur wenige Fahrminuten. Die beiden haben sich viel Zeit genommen und bei der Ankunft und jederzeit zwischendurch alle wichtigen Fragen beantwortet. Für uns war die Matratze im Doppelbett sehr weich und das nächtliche Lüften war etwas kompliziert, wenn man die großen Fenster nicht komplett geöffnet lassen möchte. Alles in allem aber eine empfehlenswerte Unterkunft!

Notre séjour dans cette superbe maison a dépassé toutes nos attentes. L'intérieur est bien décoré, parfaitement propre et très confortable. L'emplacement idéal nous a permis de profiter pleinement de notre voyage. Un grand merci à notre hôte pour son accueil chaleureux et sa disponibilité - nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

Esta casa familiar es fantàstica, planta baja y jardín increíbles.Las habitaciones correctas, faltaría un poco más de zona de almacenamiento para los huéspedes. . La zona és muy tranquila y bonita y el tren a 8 minutos caminando te conecta con Amsterdam en apenas 30 minutos. Hay un supermercado bastante grande cerca de la casa que resulta muy conveniente. Brigitte es una amable anfitriona y la comunicación es fácil con ella. Recomendable!

We verbleven een weekendje in de mooie woning van Manon en Robin. Voor ons was de ligging ideaal: 500m wandelen van het station en zo richting Zandvoort aan zee en Haarlem. De prachtige tuin en het terras waren ideaal voor het ontbijt en de rustmomenten. De woning was prima in orde, alles was voorzien. Enkel de manier van afval scheiden/ inzamelen was ons niet geheel duidelijk ( glas en papier dan) dus dit hebben we dan maar buiten bij elkaar gezet... Verder zeker een aanrader!

Jaap und Carola sind super freundlich und schnell zu erreichen. Das Haus ist super groß, es ist alles vorhanden was man benötigt und was beschrieben ist. Der Garten ist super groß und gemütlich! Die Gegend ist perfekt, zu Fuß zum Supermarkt und Bahnhof ohne Probleme. Der Strand ist ebenfalls nicht weit entfernt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder. Klare Empfehlung!

The first thing I have to say is Sophie and Pieter are clearly lovely people. We were late because of traffic but Sophie waited for us and gave a warm and very helpful welcome. Secondly, the apartment is a real home from home. The kitchen has all the equipment you need if you want to dine at home. Throughout the apartment everything was clean and functional as well as being well designed and attractive. Thirdly, the location is excellent. The tram runs regularly on the Overtoom and gets you right into the centre in 20 easy minutes. On the other side is the Vondelpark, which is a slice of real Amsterdam that many people would miss, which is a shame as it’s fantastic. The bar run by the brewery was a real find for us. Around you are a number of excellent places to eat and drink on both sides of the park and into the centre. Finally I am going to return to Sophie and Pieter - honestly you could not get better hosts. Thank you very much - we intend to return.

Jorrit was a fantastic host, he was super helpful. accommodating and friendly and always quick to respond. We had been let down last minute by another airbnb host so felt very lucky to find Jorrit's apartment. We loved staying in his beautiful place and would happily stay here again. There's a lovely roof terrace which is a great spot to sit and watch the world go by, when it's not raining! The local shops are very good with some delicious little delis and coffee spots and it's easy to get out and about from this location. Highly recommend! : )

Eine tolle Wohnung direkt am Strand. Sehr bequeme Betten, helle Zimmer und grosszügiger Wohnraum. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

So glad we stayed here! Location was ideal, away from the grit of the city center. In a peaceful, beautiful neighborhood with good restaurants and a two minute walk to the tram. The historic house had graceful, large rooms and comfortable beds, allowing our family of four space to spread out. The garden was so beautiful, and we loved opening the back doors to enjoy. The bathroom counter was fantastic after tiny counters at prior places. The host was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

It's a nice small apartment for 2+2 person. The beach takes about 5-10min with the free bike, what was provided by the host/condominium. It was easy to park as Lisette told us, she registered our car not to pay any parking fee. We just stayed one night in April, so it was still calm the neighborhood, the whole town. The communication with Lisette was easy!

Le logement est une vraie pépite pour un couple. Il est idéalement situé, donnant directement sur la principale rue de Heemstede, il reste toutefois très calme. Vous trouverez facilement de la place pour vous stationner dans les rues perpendiculaires à celles-ci. Valeria et Harry sont très accueillants et réactifs aux moindres questions et leurs instructions sont très claires. Même si le logement ne comporte pas de cuisine (seulement un mini-frigo) les commodités avoisinantes vous permettent de vous alimenter facilement ( restaurants, brasseries, supérettes,etc…)

We spent 10 long days in Zaandam while preparing and working in a fair. Margot has been absolutely great in taking care of us, and it's the space was good although smaller than expected (and quite cold even with heating..). Note: you are in Zaandam, not Amsterdam.. but it's a lovely area and very well connected with trains which gets you everywhere but will take around half an hour to get to Amsterdam Central. Quite honestly Zaandam was such a cute town! very pleasant and with everything you need. In case you don't have to go to Amsterdam, you got everything there.. If I'd have to give a feedback, I would personally need a stove in an apartment, even if small (2 stoves are enough) people have to be able to cook for themselves if needed. I missed an home cooked meal! All considered, good stay and great hosts you will be in good hands.

We loved staying in Bart’s house. The neighbourhood is very peaceful and pretty and the transport links are excellent. We easily took trains to Amsterdam, Haarlem and The Hague. The house was very comfortable with everything we needed. The children loved all the playgrounds nearby too. Thank you for having us!

We hebben een hele fijne tijd gehad in het huis van Floor. Ze is heel vriendelijk, reageert meteen en geeft goeie tips voor de omgeving. Het huis is precies zoals op de foto's, keurig netjes en opgeruimd. Ook de omgeving is erg rustig en op 15min wandelen naar het centrum van Haarlem. Kortom, een echte aanrader!

Het huis was helemaal geweldig! We voelden ons direct thuis en wilden eigenlijk niet meer weg! Het huis is heel charmant en de ligging is super. Je loopt de deur uit en met een paar passen sta je in de winkelstraat. Ook ben je heel dichtbij Haarlem en bij de duinen en het strand. Het huis was heel schoon, netjes, rook heel lekker en voelde echt als thuis. Het contact met Bas was heel goed, hij reageerde altijd direct. Ook konden wij zijn fiets lenen, wat ontzettend fijn was. De bedden sliepen ook heerlijk! Ik kan wel door blijven gaan, maar dan wordt deze recensie wel erg lang :) Kortom, wij hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad en dit huis heeft bijgedragen aan de ontzettend fijne tijd die wij gehad hebben in Nederland.

Ein wunderschönes Haus mit allen Vorzügen für einen herrlichen Urlaub. Es hat ein tolles Ambiente mit großem Platzangebot. Die Garderobe ist groß und hell. Der Wohn-und Essbereich ist sehr schön gestaltet, die Küche hat alle Eigenschaften (Geschirrspüler auf Stehhöhe, tolle Kaffeemaschine, super Herd, Quooker, Geschirr und Gläser - sehr schön). Das Gäste- WC im Erdgeschoss hat ein tolles Design. Die oberen beiden Etagen haben eine sehr stilvolle Ausstattung von hoher Qualität mit schöner Beleuchtung. Das Bad ist voll ausgestattet, ebenfalls sehr hochwertig. Der Garten ist auch sehr schön gestaltet mit mehreren Sitzplätzen mit sehr angenehmer Atmosphäre, auch überdacht. Es war alles perfekt sauber und wunderschön, wie auf den Bildern. Die Lage ist ideal für kurze Wege nach Alkmaar, Amsterdam und ans Meer. Der See in Akersloot ist um die Ecke. Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt empfehlen und kommen sehr gerne wieder. Daphne und Mark sind tolle Gastgeber. Vielen Dank!

Frank is an outstanding host. He provided fantastic and detailed information upfront. The check-in was smooth, and we were provided with local snacks, and Frank set us up with breakfast for our first morning in Amsterdam. This made it very comfortable after a long trip. Whenever we had a question, Frank replied within minutes. We all had a great and relaxing stay. Our kids often asked us if we could stay inside the house rather than going on day trips. That's how much they enjoyed the place and the cute little garden where they could play with water (you have to watch out for tiny kids that can't swim though). In short, it was fun, and we had a good time.

We absolutely loved this place. Two of our teenagers slept in the basement and one slept in the attic, and my husband and I used the master suite. Everything was beautiful. The firepit and piano were a fabulous bonus. Definitely recommend renting bikes and riding to the sea!

Second time at the lovely Heemstede. Second Time At the 3 floors family house of David. We came with our 4 kids and 1 grandmother. And again, found it suitable and comfortable for all of us. Great quiet neighborhood. A lot of games for the girls and boy, great kitchen. A lot of bikes and a lot of places nearby to go with bikes. Not far away from the train station and very close to the bus station. Absolutely enjoyed our stay again, and we hope to come back with even bigger kids in a couple of years. David was very helpful and friendly. It's a great house. Thank you, David
