Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Velsen

My friend and I had a wonderful experience with this house, and the hospitality of Peter. He picked us up at the train station because it was already late (and dark outside), helped us with all our questions and was very friendly all the time. The house itself was also perfectly fine, we had everything we needed and more. I would definitely recommend this stay because of the house, the location but also because of Peter. We are planning on coming back soon.

Frans and Tessa have a fantastic eye for design. Especially the ground floor with light-flooded kitchen and the dining room with access to the garden were cozy and welcoming to eat there and spend nice evenings. You could relax at the jetty and the neighbors were super friendly. It's just a few minutes drive to Haarlem center. The two took a lot of time and answered all the important questions on arrival and at any time. For us, the mattress in the double bed was very soft and the nightly ventilation was a bit complicated if you don't want to leave the large windows open completely. All in all but a recommended place to stay!

This family house is fantastic, with an incredible ground floor and garden. The rooms are good, but it could use a little more storage space for guests. The area is very quiet and beautiful and the train is an 8-minute walk away, connecting you with Amsterdam in just 30 minutes. There is a fairly large supermarket near the house that is very convenient. Brigitte is a friendly host and communication is easy with her. Recommended!

We had a group of friends with 3 couples stay at Jaap and Carola’s house. The house is a great space lots of room great kitchen diner and living room space to socialise. Shops are near by and great links to Amsterdam, Haarlem and Zandvoort. Really good communication, very comfortable stay great house! Thank you!

The first thing I have to say is Sophie and Pieter are clearly lovely people. We were late because of traffic but Sophie waited for us and gave a warm and very helpful welcome. Secondly, the apartment is a real home from home. The kitchen has all the equipment you need if you want to dine at home. Throughout the apartment everything was clean and functional as well as being well designed and attractive. Thirdly, the location is excellent. The tram runs regularly on the Overtoom and gets you right into the centre in 20 easy minutes. On the other side is the Vondelpark, which is a slice of real Amsterdam that many people would miss, which is a shame as it’s fantastic. The bar run by the brewery was a real find for us. Around you are a number of excellent places to eat and drink on both sides of the park and into the centre. Finally I am going to return to Sophie and Pieter - honestly you could not get better hosts. Thank you very much - we intend to return.

Jorrit was a fantastic host, he was super helpful. accommodating and friendly and always quick to respond. We had been let down last minute by another airbnb host so felt very lucky to find Jorrit's apartment. We loved staying in his beautiful place and would happily stay here again. There's a lovely roof terrace which is a great spot to sit and watch the world go by, when it's not raining! The local shops are very good with some delicious little delis and coffee spots and it's easy to get out and about from this location. Highly recommend! : )

So glad we stayed here! Location was ideal, away from the grit of the city center. In a peaceful, beautiful neighborhood with good restaurants and a two minute walk to the tram. The historic house had graceful, large rooms and comfortable beds, allowing our family of four space to spread out. The garden was so beautiful, and we loved opening the back doors to enjoy. The bathroom counter was fantastic after tiny counters at prior places. The host was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

It's a nice small apartment for 2+2 person. The beach takes about 5-10min with the free bike, what was provided by the host/condominium. It was easy to park as Lisette told us, she registered our car not to pay any parking fee. We just stayed one night in April, so it was still calm the neighborhood, the whole town. The communication with Lisette was easy!

The apartment was lovely and conveniently located. We were able to really explore the area and enjoy all the little shops \o/

We spent 10 long days in Zaandam while preparing and working in a fair. Margot has been absolutely great in taking care of us, and it's the space was good although smaller than expected (and quite cold even with heating..). Note: you are in Zaandam, not Amsterdam.. but it's a lovely area and very well connected with trains which gets you everywhere but will take around half an hour to get to Amsterdam Central. Quite honestly Zaandam was such a cute town! very pleasant and with everything you need. In case you don't have to go to Amsterdam, you got everything there.. If I'd have to give a feedback, I would personally need a stove in an apartment, even if small (2 stoves are enough) people have to be able to cook for themselves if needed. I missed an home cooked meal! All considered, good stay and great hosts you will be in good hands.

We loved staying in Bart’s house. The neighbourhood is very peaceful and pretty and the transport links are excellent. We easily took trains to Amsterdam, Haarlem and The Hague. The house was very comfortable with everything we needed. The children loved all the playgrounds nearby too. Thank you for having us!

We had a really nice time at Floor's house. She is very friendly, responds immediately and gives good tips for the area. The house is exactly as in the pictures, neatly tidy and tidy. The area is also very quiet and a 15-minute walk to the center of Haarlem. In short, highly recommended!

We loved Bas’s beautiful house! After a full on four days in Amsterdam this was a welcome calm retreat for a week’s rest. We came by train with easy links to explore the area later in the week. Great little spot to wonder around local shops on the high street and drink coffee. The house was tastefully decorated, Bas and his family have a great design eye and wonderful taste in room fragrances! We wanted to bring the smell home with us!😁 Lovely outdoor space to relax in the evening and a trampoline great for teenage daughters! We felt totally at home! Thank you 🙏🏻

A beautiful house with all the advantages for a wonderful vacation. It has a great ambiance with plenty of space. The wardrobe is large and bright. The living and dining area is very nicely designed, the kitchen has all the features (dishwasher at standing height, great coffee maker, super stove, Quooker, dishes and glasses - very nice). The guest toilet on the first floor has a great design. The top two floors have very stylish high-quality furnishings with beautiful lighting. The bathroom is fully equipped, also very high quality. The garden is also very nicely designed with several seats with a very pleasant atmosphere, also covered. Everything was perfectly clean and beautiful, as shown in the pictures. The location is ideal for short distances to Alkmaar, Amsterdam and the sea. The lake in Akersloot is around the corner. We can fully recommend the house and will be happy to come back. Frank is an outstanding host. He provided fantastic and detailed information upfront. The check-in was smooth, and we were provided with local snacks, and Frank set us up with breakfast for our first morning in Amsterdam. This made it very comfortable after a long trip. Whenever we had a question, Frank replied within minutes. We all had a great and relaxing stay. Our kids often asked us if we could stay inside the house rather than going on day trips. That's how much they enjoyed the place and the cute little garden where they could play with water (you have to watch out for tiny kids that can't swim though). In short, it was fun, and we had a good time.

We absolutely loved this place. Two of our teenagers slept in the basement and one slept in the attic, and my husband and I used the master suite. Everything was beautiful. The firepit and piano were a fabulous bonus. Definitely recommend renting bikes and riding to the sea!

Second time at the lovely Heemstede. Second Time At the 3 floors family house of David. We came with our 4 kids and 1 grandmother. And again, found it suitable and comfortable for all of us. Great quiet neighborhood. A lot of games for the girls and boy, great kitchen. A lot of bikes and a lot of places nearby to go with bikes. Not far away from the train station and very close to the bus station. Absolutely enjoyed our stay again, and we hope to come back with even bigger kids in a couple of years. David was very helpful and friendly. It's a great house. Thank you, David
