Family-friendly vacation rentals in Varmland County

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in een prachtig groot en goed onderhouden huis, mooi vrij gelegen met uitzicht op bos en nog net een stukje van het meer (met zwemstrandje) te zien vanuit het huis. Ook met rolstoel was dit huis goed te gebruiken! Het huis heeft veel voorzieningen om uitgebreid te kunnen koken, grote koelkast, vriezer, goede oven en magnetron. Grote terrassen om te zitten. Twee badkamers, al kregen wij het grote bad niet goed aan de praat (maar daar kwamen we niet voor). Het huis ligt erg rustig, tegelijk binnen kwartier rijden een prima supermarkt, op een half uur van Årjäng, en binnen een uur rijden van Karlstad. Het is even zoeken naar het startpunt, maar er zijn allerlei mooie wandelpaden in de buurt (met mooie wilde planten, insecten en andere dieren). Kjell-Åke is een vriendelijke verhuurder en direct te benaderen bij vragen. Enige verbeterpunt: de kasten hangen vol met persoonlijke kleding, waardoor er te weinig kastruimte voor eigen kleding is.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have stayed in Kristina’s house during our quiet family vacation in Sweden! The house and the garden are absolutely charming, filled with flowers and candles that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This is truly a family home, not only equipped with everything you need for a long stay, but also furnished and decorated with such care and love that you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The surrounding woods and lakes are perfect for hiking, foraging, meditation, and relaxation. Kristina and her son Alexander were wonderful hosts, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Vi hadde en herlig langhelg på Håkans landsted. Det var magisk å våkne med den fine utsikten, sitte på terassen og grille på det geniale grillbordet og ta ett bad etter tid i bastua. Bra senger og veldig velutstyrt kjøkken. Alt man behøver og litt til. Den lille båtturen (noen få minutter) ut var en fin bonus. Bra kapasitet og enkelt å kjøre båten.

Maria & Manfreds hus er helt fantastisk. Der mangler intet og alt var rent og lækkert. Det var nemt at komme til og fra - både alpin og langrends pisterne og både gamle og børn havde en skøn uge.

Rigtig fint ophold - perfekt at vi måtte have hunde med. Passede godt til beskrivelsen og det lå i fine omgivelser.

To say we had a nice stay would be an understatement! The accomidation is so lovely and we had an amazing vacation. The pool deck is even nicer than you might think from the pictures. The pool costs a little extra (120€ for the week as of 2022), which would have been nice to write in the listing. Given the pool is heated and has to be maintained the cost is understandable though of course. The next grocery store is about 15min by car and the next bigger town about 40 to 50min. Given how nice the house is you might not want to leave though :) We had a lot of fun taking the SUP and the canoe out to the lake, we even had the chance to do this with our little dogs for the very first time, so that was a really great experience. There is even a grill, which Linda and Peter were kind enough to let us borrow. All basic spices, oils and such were also there to borrow. The surrounding forrest is beautiful too and there were plenty of mushrooms to pick. Lastly two things worth noting (These werent issues for us but might be worth knowing for others). Both the pool deck and the garden are not fenced in, so if you have small kids or dogs you will have to keep an extra eye out. And the larger beds in the main house are in separate rooms but the rooms are only separated by a curtain. Again, these were really non issues when you take into account how lovely the rest of the place was! So, thank you again for letting us stay here, Linda and Peter!

Wir haben die Woche in Ginas Unterkunft sehr genossen. Mit dem Boot konnten wir die beiden Seen erkunden und tolle Fische fangen. Die Gastgeberin war die ersten zwei tage in der nähe und hat uns bei allem geholfen. Tolle Unterkunft an schöner Lage.

Wat een mooie plek! Een heerlijk huisje op het terrein van Marjolanda, waar we hebben genoten van de stilte, het bos en de sauna. Alles was heel netjes en met aandacht verzorgd en onderhouden, zowel het huisje als de tuin eromheen. En de communicatie met Marjolanda ging snel en makkelijk. Top!

Our family had a wonderful time at this magnificent home. This is a special property, cared for with such loving detail by the owners. It has everything you need for a perfect lakeside holiday in the beautiful Swedish countryside. The views of the lake and sunset painted sky are surreal and peaceful. There are many things for guests to use, boats, kayaks, bikes, and games, stocked kitchen and BBQ! Tor has even created a walking path through the forest for guests to easily navigate right in their own backyard! The house is full of great spaces, many bedrooms/bathrooms plus common areas for relaxing in the surroundings of a majestic, pristine historical home. We feel very fortunate that they open their home to guests, it truly is a treasure. As host, Ellen was so accommodating and gracious and her attention to detail and availability to make her guests feel welcome and relaxed was evident and appreciated by us. We highly recommend this unique house by the lake and hope to return again!

Vi har varit SÅ nöjde med stugan de två gångar, vi har varit där. Charmigt, fint, autentisk, velstädat. Helt lugnt och näre Götakanalen och Hajstorp slussarne. Maria har tagit så vel imod oss. Tack för vistelsen. Vi återkommar givetvis

Unser Aufenthalt in Schweden war sehr schön. Das Haus bietet sehr viel Platz für die ganze Familie sowie viele Spiel- und Sportmöglickeiten. Besonders toll fanden wir den direkten Zugang zum See und die verschiedenen Boote (SUP, Ruderboot, Segeljolle). In der näheren Umgebung kann man schön spazieren/wandern gehen. Die Lage ist perfekt für alle, die Ruhe und Natur genießen möchten. Das Haus und die Küche waren gut ausgestattet - es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Auch die Kommunikation mit Oyvind war immer nett und unkompliziert. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Vi var ett stort gäng som firade nyår i det här huset för andra året i rad. Återigen var det lätt att kommunicera med värden som svarade snabbt när vi hade frågor och var väldigt hjälpsam och flexibel. Huset var helt perfekt för en stor grupp kompisar och hundar, med alla rum och stora ytor. Köket var helt perfekt för en stor nyårsmiddag! Vi vill också tacka grannen som hjälpte oss att skotta hela uppfarten när det hade kommit 30 cm snö på nyårsdagen ❤️✨

Idyllisk, smuk hytte med masser af plads både indenfor og udenfor til vores store familie. Der var både rent og en hjemlig følelse med mulighed for lån af brætspil, når det regnede og kano og robåd, når vejret var bedre. Kan varmt anbefales.

Wij hebben ons verblijf als heel leuk ervaren. Het huisje is knus en gezellig en alles wat nodig is is aanwezig. De bedden beschikken over goede matrassen, kortom wat ons betreft een aanrader! Ook reageert de host Richard heel snel op vragen.

Lotta and Rolf were perfects hosts and we (1 adult and two kids (5 and 8)) enjoyed every minute of our stay. The pool was the kids‘ sensation, of course🥳. We‘d definitely like to come back one day!

Jonas och hans familjs hus är fantastiskt. Jag och min familj firade nyår i deras hus och vi fick en fantastisk långhelg där. Vi var ute i skogen och promenerade i området varje dag och på kvällarna lagade vi stora middagar i köket och hade åt i den vackra matsalen. Det är ett jättefint hus som är så vackert renoverat och vi alla trivdes väldigt bra i huset 😊 Jag rekommenderar alla att åka dit och bara koppla av några dagar! Tack för allt familjen Waerner!
