Nostalgi

A charming 19th century house with a good atmosphere. The property is beautifully situated by the sea overlooking Ålesund and the Sunnmøre Alps. Only 15 mins with a car from Ålesund city and the nearest airport, but is still a place that gives peace of mind. Outside the garden there are cultivated fields with grazing animals in late summer. The island of Giske itself is a gem with a medieval marble church, beaches, untouched nature and birdlife. The island once housed Norway's most powerful noble family, the Arnungs and is mentioned in the Snorre saga.

Hiking opportunities just outside the door of the mountain Signal with views in all directions, or to the other islands Godøya, Giske or Vigra. At Alnes, located on Godøya, there is an art gallery/cafe with a view into the sea. Short distance to all the sights of Ålesund and Sunnmørsfjellene with all their hiking opportunities.

Quiet, peaceful, with stunning views of fjords and mountains, less than 10 meters from the water's edge. 70m2 plus large room at the pier level. Our place is close to Ålesund Airport. Ålesund airport. Great nature. Rural and quiet. Yet only 20 min. by car to Ålesund city center. My place is good for couples, single travelers, and business travelers. Can also fit a small family. (Extra mattresses). Enjoy the wonderful view from this idyllic storehouse located on Valderøya outside Ålesund. The storehouse is over a century old, but has been renovated in several rounds. NOTE: The storage room has electricity, but not running water or a toilet. Guests can use shower and toilet in the main house which is 30 m away.
