Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Val-d'Oire-et-Gartempe

One of the best rental properties we have ever used for all sorts of reasons. Nicola was an excellent host who was always very responsive and helpful. The house is set away from a tiny village in a quiet part of the region but this was perfect for us. Lots of space for our two children to play in. The property has been appointed beautifully. I would not hesitate returning.

We had a great time at Christophe's house who was very responsive in communication. The location is ideal: close to the city center and the train station, making getting around very easy. The house is spacious, pleasant to live in and perfectly equipped! We were there for a weekend with friends, and found everything we needed. I recommend it without hesitating!

Very nice quiet place and very pretty house, change of scenery guaranteed!In addition, the hosts were really very welcoming and warm, Camille does everything to make you feel at home, and gives good advice on activities and walks to do in the area. Thanks to her I was able to visit the Roman baths of Chassenon, I recommend them! The whole family is very nice, even the cat. And the bonus: Miss Toutou is very very very nice, very cuddly and with my dog they got along really well! I recommend this house and its hosts 100%!

Very good stay in the countryside, Sylvie was very welcoming, the place was very quiet. Flawless accommodation, very clean, the only small downside was that we were a little cold at night.

Very quiet place is nice. Relatively close to Limoges so a lot to wear. Pleasant and friendly host, Anne welcomed us very warmly! If we were to come back for a while in Limoges we would not hesitate to book here again!

We loved staying in this home The place is quiet and peaceful, a real cocoon for a romantic weekend. The place is warm, despite the rain we liked to rest in the warmth of the stove in this studio and watch Véronique's ducks pass by. The studio is equipped, the bedding is comfortable (which is not always the case in Airbnb) if like us you have back problems you can go there with peace of mind we sleep well! Thank you for hosting us!

Antoine was a great host, and his traditional apartment is lovely and convenient for all the local historical sites. The bed on the mezzanine is unusual but easy to access, with practice.

1 night spent in this studio, completely self-contained (kitchen, bathroom, washing machine) and on 2 levels. Flexible check-in with lockbox, perfect for one or more days near Angouleme.

Very good hospitality at the Grange de l'Ours. Our 13-year-old son's bed was ready, small touches were waiting for us. The heating is efficient because when it was turned on when we arrived we did not wait long before it was perfect. Thanks ☺️

Good rest at Charlotte’s place!

Herve gave me a very warm welcome and was extremely kind, helpful and flexible. He explained everything I needed to know about the place clearly. It was very clean and bright. The location is fantastic, being very close to the centre of the town and also provides easy access to buses. I would happily stay at Herve's place again.

The moment we walked into La Grenouillere, we knew we had made the perfect choice for our holiday in France. We were a party of 12 (three families) and felt we had so much space to spread out and relax, which we did so instantly. The positioning is wonderful, away from busy life, just nature and silence all around. Everything was lovely -beautiful building, large indoor living areas, wonderful outside spaces too with a fantastic pool, big enough for us all. The kitchen was well equiped for our cooking evenings, the barbeque was brilliant for outside cooking and a popular choice for all. Morning coffee on the back terrace overlooking the grounds was a great way to start the day as was sipping wine and beer sitting out the front watching the sun down and then star gazing . Playing boules on the ready made boules pitch was a highlight, so was playing cards round the kitchen table, big enough for us all. The surrounding area was beautiful and well used by us all, cycling or running on the many gravel paths criss crossing the countryside. There is plenty to do in and around the area-towns / cities to visit. We went to Angouleme and Poitiers and enjoyed eating outout and seeing the sites. We also enjoyed the canoeing at Mansle (wonderful to see the countryside from the meandering river on our 3 hour paddle), the inflatable water park near Angouleme was a big hit with our kids (big kids), as was the tree tops high ropes with us all. All in all we had an amazing experience and brilliant time. We were all very sad to leave.

I would 100% recommend Frédéric's place! My family and I had a great time. Frédéric had the kind attention to prepare a nice decorated tree for our arrival, we enjoyed it very much! The house is very spacious, the living room is a wonder, we felt very good there. The house is spacious enough for everyone to have their own space, which is very nice. This is a very well equipped villa. The location surrounding was a concern but we slept in late every morning so noise was not an issue. Very secure and not overlooked.

We had a great stay at Valerie’s house. Due to ferry delays we didn’t arrive at the house until 10.30pm. Valerie had left the house with lights on and the key in a safe place so we could check ourself in. The house itself is stylish. Interesting pictures on the walls, lovely furniture and amazing choices of colour schemes. It felt like a really good Airbnb experience where you got to experience someone else’s home. Kitchen was really well stocked, beds were comfortable and linen and towels were all fine. The pool was amazing. It was 38-40 degrees whilst we were there and the pool was a saviour. We have 3 x young children 3,5,7 so are always a bit nervous about pools but, for us, this pool was far enough away from the house and it had an alarm. There is no fence though, so something to think about with kids. The layout of the house is 2 x double bedrooms in one section. Then downstairs there is another bedroom that has the mezzanine. It was a great stay, would highly recommend.
