Our group stayed 4 nights at Simon’s house in Kalemetiya. What a treat ! we felt like movie stars with their own private beach front home. The house is large and well appointed with 4 well spaced bedrooms with en suite. The house has a large lawn from the rear leading to the beach with a pool area a children’s pool, a covered veranda and then a small wooden fence leading to the ocean. We would get our massages in the covered area, listening to the waves and also do yoga there. Dinesh and Runi took amazing care of us. Rooney cooked our breakfast and did laundry and kept the place spotless. Dinesh arranged massages, recommended restaurants drove us to Colombo. He also hosted our driver and Guide. Simon, the host was responsive and flexible. In the morning, you could walk along the beach and see the villagers fishing with their traditional boats. The beach is very clean. It is very wavy and not the best place for swimming, but you can definitely take dips. An amazing place.

If we could, we would give 10 stars! Mahesh was an extremely friendly and helpful host. The apartment in his villa was very clean and beautiful. The daily breakfast was very tasty. Silent Beach and many restaurants were within walking distance. We can only recommend the place!!

If you are looking for peace and a quiet stay this is the right place. We stayed for tonight, but could easily stay longer. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the restaurant has great food, and the beach is really relaxing and quiet.

We had a wonderful welcome from Ran and his wife . They showed us the villa and explained everything . Whispering Wave Villa is delightful and spotlessly clean and comfortable. The kitchen provides everything you need for making breakfast and light meals. We stayed 4 nights , we loved the area as it’s so quiet and close to the beach and beach cafes. We had a scooter so it was easy to get around. Ran kindly organised the scooter for us and also a taxi for out onward journey. There’s a great cafe for good Italian coffee and food called Hipster run by Kushan and his wife , they also have a shop which is handy for water etc. There are also yoga classes run by Anna close by at Ginger Harmony ( beside the bridge) . If you are really lucky like us you may also see turtles come ashore to lay their eggs and also see the hatchlings start their life . Near by Rekawa beach is also worth a visit , drinks and food are excellent at the Red Lion . Enjoy your stay at Whispering Wave Villa .
