Cozy, comfy room on the first floor with lots of sunlight and gorgeous views. The electric blankets are an amazing feature to get toasty when it gets chilly at night. Spent most of my time in the enchanted garden - morning chai in the sun, naps on the chatai, glorious sun sets, and gazing at a million stars at night. It was mesmerising, and rejuvenating. The cafe is 10 steps away, and every meal was beyond delicious! The staff is very warm, and Nitya is a wonderful host and exceptional cook. The menu is fresh, seasonal and exciting - the salad leaves and veggies had been plucked from her garden that very morning! The highlight of the trip were Elizabeth, Bira, Gigi, Snowy (and her 5 puppies) - the most friendly loveable dogs I have ever met! The clean air, sounds of the birds chirping, the crisp sun and the gorgeous green views are all very therapeutic and make this an energising and wholesome getaway. Highly recommend, and will definitely be back.

Wild Kumaon is an absolutely fantastic stay. I’ll get into the advantages of the location (which are great) in a bit, but first of all, the team are incredibly warm, kind people. Neer is an absolute gentleman, and very knowledgeable when it comes to nature. Bird watchers cannot find a better place to stay; Neer will personally guide you at 5 AM if you need. Check-in, cleanliness, every single thing is made as easy for you as possible. In fact Neer called me a day before we’d travel just to ensure we had all the info we’d need. Once you’re there, Madan bhaiyya is there to take care of literally everything. The food is amazing, service is quick, and Madan bhaiyya takes care of every request with a very infectious smile on his face. The food menu is quite vast, and the cooks make literally everything well. You can eat pahadi delicacies like hari subzi and ghat ki churkani, but they also make killer biryani. They ALSO make killer Alfredo pasta as well as killer honey chilli potatoes. Safe to say you’re sorted when it comes to food if you stay here. *Ask Madan bhaiya to serve breakfast in the sun and he’ll literally get a table set up wherever it is sunny. It’s incredible. If you have non-vegetarians in the party, an interesting detail is that Wild Kumaon prioritise freshness in their food to the point that they store no non-veg in the fridge at all. If you order chicken, someone will go to the market and buy chicken specially for you to make it fresh. (One needs to let them know in advance for this reason, which is well worth it.) One often feels the pleasures of the place while travelling. At Wild Kumaon you also feel the pleasure of company. These guys are just the kindest, most warm-hearted people and I’m certain we’ll be returning. —— Now to the location: one amazing thing about Wild Kumaon is that it’s rather centrally located. Pretty much every lake in the area is a short hike, or car ride away. You can hike to Bhimtal, Garud Tal, Naldamyantital, Sattal. It’s very pleasant and if you’d rather take a car that can be arranged easily as well. The centrality of wild Kumaon means that you can travel pretty much the breadth of Sattal in an ambling, comfortable manner without having to worry about returning before it gets dark etc. —- All in all we had a very pleasant stay and I’d highly recommend the property to anyone who seeks serenity. PS. They have bonfires!

Went there with a group of friends and the location was just amazing as we had to do. Neem Karloli ashram, Bhimtal and Mukteshwar were all close by. Prashant also suggested us to go on Pari tal trek which starts from property and was the highlight of our trip. Deepu the caretaker is also the sweetest guy, helped us prepare meals, set the bonfire and kept us comfortable. Really going to recommend this to friends

Not asked to but felt like I had to pay my thanks for such a wonderful experience. The place has a beautiful view, lots of place to lounge around or walk, a courteous and caring staff, naughty yet behaved dogs and the best food in town. We had plans to go out on the 2nd day but ended up staying back simply cause we didn’t want to leave. The food was elaborate to say the least, more than we could’ve hoped to find and as good as travelling to 4 different specialty-cuisine restaurants. My wife, who’s actively avoids dogs, ended up seeking them for pets and hugs, simply cause they’re so wonderful. For all of this, I have to thank Nitya who’s set-up as good a stay as a traveller could hope for. Humara pet bhar gaya, lekin mann nahi bhara
