Stoneycroft Cottage

DarrenRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Lovely quite place to stay? Friendly host and nice welcome pack on arrival. Comfortable couch and bed. Very spacious downstairs and wheelchair friendly. The vents can be a bit noisy when the wind gets up. Very little light pollution in some directions if you are into star gazing. The drive is spacious .

Rose Cottage - Pet Friendly - Log Burner - Morpeth

TracyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We absolutely loved our stay. It is such a cosy, gorgeous house! The hot tub is perfect, nice and secluded so you don't feel like you're being overlooked. The beds very comfortable and the location is brilliant, it's 10 mins into the main town and some lovely walks. I would defintely stay here again. I would say there wasn't much washing up liquid or toilet paper so I would advise bringing more of your own supplies and the garden defintely needed a good sweeping, we weren't able to use the cushions as they'd been left out in the rain. but overall a brill stay and I would definitely recommend! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Redkite - Outstanding 5 star cottage

PaulRating, 5 stars11 months ago
we had a lovely stay in an outstanding cottage. the cottage was really well presented and well maintained. it's had all you needed for a short stay away. the cottage itself was spacious and very modern. the 90inch tv was great for watching a movie on the night time. I was a little unsure of the indoor hot tub but with the door open it was a pleasant experience. the ground are stunning, and suitable for dogs of all sizes. the donkey and ponies were really friendly. we sould definitely consider staying here again.

Isla Cottage - A charming and Snug Country Retreat

DanielRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We spent the weekend at Gill’s beautiful cottage and it could not have been any better. The cottage was perfect in every way and we couldn’t have felt anymore at home. The cottage itself was gorgeous and extremely well kept and the views across the fields were stunning. Gill was a great host and went above and beyond to make our trip one to remember. We would recommend this to anyone and were certainly come back again in the future.

Beautiful 5 star 2 bedroom cottage with hot tub.

LeanneRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We enjoyed a great break in Peewit Cottage, which was spotless and had everything you need. The surroundings were well looked after and amenities great. The little touches, including the welcome pack (best we’ve had and included the dog!) and Prosecco and strawberries to enjoy in the hot tub were thoughtful and lovely. All the information you need is provided prior to arrival or readily available within the cottage. We used the cottage as a base to visit local attractions, all easily accessible by car. Glen was both very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend and somewhere we would return to. Thank you, Jacqueline!

5 Bed in Durham (85257)

JaniceRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were great at not just providing information but being very responsive to messages and were very friendly and welcoming. The house had everything you could need/want. We didn't need to use the kitchen facilities much in our stay but there was everything you could need there. The welcome pack provided was very much appreciated containing some lovely goodies, especially the coffee from the Durham Coffee company. It was delicious. The beds were super comfy and loved that they provided both a firm & medium pillow to accommodate everyone's preferences. The whole place was really clean & they had really thought about what people would need during a stay. The hot tub was a lovely addition and some of our party took advantage of it. Others liked the fire pit & the hosts even brought round some more logs for us to have a second use of it during our stay. Loved that every room had an ensuite, made things much easier. Loved the Harry Potter room

10/10 recommendations!! Stayed here for a couple nights with a group of friends. The cottage was even better in person the photos really don’t give it enough justice. views outside were beautiful. We were lucky to have the hot weather during our stay so made good use of the outdoor amenities like the hot tub and fire pit. Overall an excellent property which is excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend and I personally will be back! Massive thank you to Mark and Michelle!

Sycamore Farm Cottage (with garden dining area).

CarolineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We ere a group of 4 friends, plus Flix (cat) and Zumi (dog), celebrating a 50th birthday. Th facilities and location were perfect. All bedrooms are of similar size and loads of bathrooms! The substantial garden is secure for pets (and children) with wonderful views, peaceful setting, despite being near a main road, wildlife and even a stunning 'Strawberry' Moon. Parking, taxis or even takeaways are easy! Photographs don’t do it justice The decoration of every room, the 'quirkiness' and thought put in throughout, including games I haven't played since a child (Bagatelle), just made this feel like home! Jeff, our host, was wonderful, giving us local farm eggs and lots of local knowledge, plus walking trails we enjoyed. He also left us some DVDs which meant a late night ‘walk down memory lane’ with The Bourne Identity! A perfect holiday and our favourite place we have ever stayed. It surpassed our expectations in every way and we will definitely be returning. Thank you Jeff!

The Old Post Office

JaneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lovely cottage - traditional on the outside, modern on the inside. Everything was spotless. The furniture, including the beds, is extremely comfortable. A welcome gift of lovely biscuits, crisps, etc was a nice addition. Michael was very quick to respond to messages or questions and dealt very efficiently with our request to change the dates we had booked. We would have no hesitation in recommending the accommodation and would happily stay there again.

Thompson’s Holiday Cottage Sheepwash

DanielleRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Lovely old cottage, lots of character. Beautiful garden with lots of wildlife. Great location. Brilliant kind and helpful host. Everything you could need in cottage. Critisism ... could do with some tlc, alittle run down. Damp in some bedrooms. Blinds to kichen and small windows would be useful as not very private especially with downstairs bathroom. Would benefit from deeper cleaning ie. Bathroom, under beds etc Overall lovely time spent in cottage. Thankyou Anne for all your help.

Beautiful property in a stunning seafront location. The cottage had all the amenities we needed with a wonderful view of the sea. Nigel and Jane were very welcoming and recommended a bistro in Amble, Jaspers which was one of the best meals we have had in a long time.

Elmhurst holiday cottage in the Tyne Valley

CatherineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
'Elmhurst' is the quintessential English village experience. It is a delightful and extremely comfortable cottage in a quaint little village. The cottage is very nicely and thoughtfully furnished with comfortable sofas and beds. It is very well-equipped and had lots of thoughtful touches including fresh flowers on the table, milk in the fridge, candles and a fire laid in the fireplace. There is a small back patio area where I sat in the spring sunshine and also a small front garden area facing the road. The road is quiet, especially at night. The Bridge End Inn is a nice little pub directly across the road where I chatted with the locals and enjoyed delicious Italian food. Just walking outside the door of the cottage takes you to lovely country walks along the Tyne river and into the woods behind Ovingham. This is a truly lovely place to stay and I'll definitely stay here again. Chris is a friendly, helpful and proactive host - thank you!

We cannot reccomend a stay at capheaton estate highly enough. A beautiful cottage, with comfortable and luxurious finishing touches in incredibly peaceful surroundings, responsive and helpful hosts. Such a wonderful place to relax, away from the busy world, but close to some great pubs and within reach of key attractions. Would happily stay again.

Bea’s Cottage by the Sea, Cresswell Northumberland

HazelRating, 5 stars21 months ago
Perfect stay for the two of us and 2 dogs. Comfortable cottage with spacious, all wooden, ground floor. Easy to keep clean so no stress with dogs. Well equipped and cosy. Good sea views from kitchen table. Gentle 2 minute walk in either direction to excellent, quiet, sandy beaches. Some rocky areas at low tide added to interest. 5 - 10 minutes stroll down druridge bay beach to Drift Cafe. Very dog friendly (inside and out) a good amenity on the, 'not so sunny!' days. Pleasant walks to Druridge Bay Country Park, Hauxley wild life Centre, and Amble. Easy car distance to endless other Northumberland favorites, Alnmouth, Craster, Alnwick, Holy Island. Would happily have stayed for ever. Thanks Sarah.

Hill Top Cottage Gateshead *Hot Tub*

EmmaRating, 5 stars18 months ago
We stayed at Hamraz's house when our home was flooded so we stayed for 4 weeks. The location is amazing- close to amenities and the views are stunning. The house was big enough for us to comfortably live in for 4 weeks. The hot tub is well worth the extra money as it's a premium hot tub. Hamraz husband very prompt at explaining things at check in. Host then very much left us to it which was ideal for us. Would stay again.

Finest Retreats | The Cottage, Shortflatt Farm

HelenRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful country cottage in rural Northumberland. It was the perfect getaway for our family of four—and our dog was just as welcome as we were! The cottage itself was spotless, both inside and out, with a lovely garden and everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing break. The setting is just stunning—peaceful, scenic, and ideal for stargazing. We were lucky enough to catch a clear night and saw the dark skies filled with stars and a glowing full moon—truly magical. A thoughtful touch was the homemade biscuits and marmalade waiting for us on arrival, which made us feel right at home from the start. We couldn’t fault a thing and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful countryside escape.

Fisherman's Cottage

RoryRating, 5 stars8 months ago
This is a lovely cottage. Peaceful and very comfortable with everything that you would need for a break away from home. The only thing missing is a garden but as the beach and promenade is only about 50 yards away, it is irrelevant. Plenty of places to eat or get takeaways from, all within a 2 minute walk. We can highly recommend the Italian opposite, Due Fratelli, it is superb. The cottage has an excellent TV and comfortable lounge to relax in. We could not believe how quiet it was there. Excellently equipped kitchen and bathroom and very important, a supremely comfortable bed. Some fabulous beaches to visit within ten miles and the local Maritime Museum is well worth a visit at £2.50 entrance. can recommend the Woodhorn Mining Museum too, about 5 miles away. Overall, a fabulous stay and one we will certainly repeat. One of the best we have stayed in.

Homely three bedroom cottage with log burner.

HilaryRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This cottage is very comfortable and well equipped, and, even though it looks small on the outside, it is very spacious inside. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is a really lovely space as is the lounge, where we enjoyed the log burner. It is great to have 2 bathrooms as well as a downstairs toilet, not to mention the washing machine and dryer! We love looking out at the fields and hills in the morning.

Barnacre

GemmaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Great place where 10 of us meet up to celebrate the new year. Loved the secret room, lots of space and accessible for elderly and young. Kitchen was well equipment for every need, but there were great restaurants/pubs nearby. The coast was a 15 minute drive away. However, the living area, especially the dinning room, were cold as the radiators were not turned on. Would highly recommend.
