Wonderful place! Beautiful views and peaceful atmosphere. Great place for a quiet getaway! Also, not far from Buffalo Gap and Abilene if you want to do some exploring. Highly recommend!

we really had a great, very pleasant stay at the Opa's House. We were in town because I had to have an OutPatient Surgery in Abilene and I was a little uncertain on where we should stay but it turns out that Merries Place (Opa's Cottage) was absolutely perfect. I am disabled so therefore the Handicap Accessible features made this the perfect place for me to stay. The cleanliness & communication was excellent, everything about our stay was perfect. We look forward to being repeat customers going forward. No complaints!

Overall great experience! Rhonda and Hallie overly communicated with us prior to and during our stay. House is a great old house with beautiful trees, great fire pit (warmed us up nicely during coffee this AM) and all the needs in the house were there! Will definitely book again in the future!

I've stayed here twice - one of the best places in Buffalo Gap. Good hosts, good location, clean and unique!
