Waterfront vacation rentals in Transylvania County

This was my third stay at Sharon’s property, and it definitely will not be my last! The apartment is beautifully decorated and is stocked with all amenities you will need. It was spotlessly clean, organized and comfortable. The view is amazing and I couldn’t spend enough time on the porch reading, enjoying the view of the mountains, and enjoying the peace and tranquility. I highly recommend daily walks around the lake! Sharon and Anna are amazing hosts and provide fast communication if and when needed. When an unexpected storm rolled thru and the power went out temporarily, Sharon was quick to provide candles, flashlight, and battery pack for my phone. The bed is very comfy, and the stocked Nespresso machine is such an added bonus! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my stay and will be back next summer to enjoy it again!

I have stayed in Carolyn's units several times. She is a fantastic host and very responsive. The apartment had everything we needed for a week's stay. There are snacks too! We were at a conference with people dropping in for lunch so I particularly appreciated the extra table and chairs. I slept on the bed and sofa and both were comfortable. The lake view and access to the walking trail are perfect. The close proximity to Stuart Auditorium was a must for me. I highly recommend Carolyn's units and am already booked for next year.

What a gem of a place. We booked this listing on a last-minute whim for MDW. Not only was it even lovelier than the pictures but it was exactly the getaway our weary souls were needing. There are few places that will calm you better than a cup of coffee on the patio. Lucia was extremely responsive, gave great and clear instructions and was very accommodating. The only draw back is the number of stairs down to the lake. The view is killer but with toddlers that made things like bathroom breaks tricky. If you’re not super mobile take that into account. Otherwise, this was a slice of paradise. The fire ring, stocked wood, and plethora of kayaks and paddle boards made this a fun weekend to remember.

Beautiful location! The host is definitely a nature person with beautiful plants and chickens. The place was both invigorating and tranquil. Definitely recommend!!

Overall a really beautiful and peaceful spot that checked all the boxes for what I needed for the week. Super comfy and cozy. Had a really lovely stay, and Paul was super responsive. Definitely will be looking to book here again when I return to the area in the future!

My husband and I were so happy with our stay at Judy and Maria’s tranquil home. Everything from the creek to the hot tub and relaxing living space were perfect. My husband enjoyed fishing in such a great spot, and I enjoyed watching the ducks with their little ducklings, and the hummingbirds that visited often. 😊 We spent plenty of time relaxing, but also enjoyed the close proximity to good restaurants and shopping, and hiking. Casa Paz is in such a convenient and beautiful location. For good food we recommend Chef’s Table and Haywood Smokehouse in Waynesville, and Twisted Spoke in Maggie Valley. The place was very easy to find and Judy and Maria were very responsive with any question we had while we were there. Highly recommend a stay here!!

This is an amazing place!! Beautiful view, great place to sit outside, close walking path, quiet, comfortable and nicely furnished. It was just so perfect!! Fell in love with the apartment and Lake Junaluska. Cannot say enough about what an exceptional place this was!

We came for memorial Day weekend and the place was very clean and Rita was very hospitable. They even stocked the fridge with our favorite beverages! The sugar shack was right near the water and their was even a boat dock to store our boat for the weekend. We highly recommend this rental!

We had a wonderful stay at Kelly's place! The home was easy to find, exactly as described, and ready to host us for a nice and relaxing fathers day weekend. We appreciated all of the little touches throughout the home that made us feel comfortable and welcomed. The home is spacious and the small decorating touches throughout made it feel like loved and inviting space. There were snacks on site to welcome us on our arrival, plenty of towels and toiletries available, the beds were OH SO COMFORTABLE, and we were grateful to say we didn't see not one bear during our stay. The instruction/welcome manual left by Kelly was super detailed - leaving not one question unanswered - and she was kind enough to check in with us to make sure we arrived and were settled in. We had a fun time with the kids playing in the river across the street, sitting on lovely screened in porch, and playing the various games available throughout the house. Thank you so very much!

We had an amazing stay at the Waterfall House. The house was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and well appointed with all the things you needed for a comfortable stay. The house was secluded and situated in scenic and pristine mountain setting. We opened the windows and enjoyed the relaxing sounds of the creek and waterfall that was just steps from the house. We spent time enjoying a morning cup of coffee and a glass of wine on the large front porch listening to the sounds of nature and watching local wildlife. This is a definite return stay. The property owners were informative and responsive. We were nervous about damage to the surrounding area from Helene but this was not an issue. We extended our stay by a day because we had such a great time.

This place was so fantastic we are starting a new tradition of staying here! Easy access to the lake, the amenities were FAR BEYOND expectations and the proximity to local parks can’t be understated. Don’t look elsewhere, just book this location and you will be very happy.

Beautiful, peaceful rustic location. Exactly what we needed for a family reconnect and break from the hustle and bustle! Host had great suggestions, the instructions for arrival and how to use the property were perfect! Matthew was super responsive when we had questions and when we raised any concerns, they were addressed immediately. Thank you for a great vacation!

This was a wonderful experience! The cabin (house) is gorgeous and so well-appointed! Chocolates and wine, helpful instructions, and stocked with everything you could want or need! The host was SO responsive, helpful, and kind! Highly recommend!!

If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is a great place. Jeana communicated this well, but there is no cell reception when you get there, so have your check in instructions written down before you get there. We enjoyed sitting along the edge of the stream and watching the birds. The house is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, but we didn't have time to do anything else. Local recommendations are left in the house for you. The rode up to the house is winding, but through some beautiful country!

The home is beautiful, and the yard was so clean and lush. Fresh cut grass with birds during the day and lighting bugs at night. Safe and clean neighborhood. The homes decor was warm and inviting, with all the amenities that are needed. Melinda was very helpful to any question I had about hiking the falls. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

The house was very cozy and clean! The sound of the river was very calming to hear when resting inside. Looking at the sky at night and seeing all of the stars was a very beautiful sight! The look of the river from the balcony was very calming and it was a breath of fresh air. The kitchen was well filled and had everything we needed to provide for our large family. Thank you for having us!

My husband and I stayed at the Lake side Keowee Condo the last week of August. The condo looks exactly like to pictures. Kitchen was beautiful and had all that you would need. There are 2 master bedrooms. One is an ensuite with sliding doors to a small balcony that had a table and chairs. You could see the lake from the balcony . We would have breakfast out here in the morning. The living room had beautiful bay windows which also had lake view. There is a large cabinet in the living room that was stocked with games. The living room also has 2 sets of bunk beds that were like Murphy beds and folded up. We were only 2 people but condo could easily accommodate 10 people. You could walk to the pool but the beach you needed to drive to. Keowee Key is a beautiful community. It was very quiet the week we were there but we were fine with that as we were looking for peaceful few days. We did not play golf but course looked beautiful. There is also a restaurant on property

We enjoyed our stay at Kim's place. It was very convenient to our son's wedding venue on Lake Fairfield. The area is so beautiful and Kim's place was very clean, well appointed and updated. It was easy to find and easy to access per the directions. Kim was always responsive to any questions I had and the clear communication was appreciated. We would definitely book again.

We had a great time! My kids loved going on the canoe in the pond. We also loved going to the pool after a day out apple picking and hiking. The mornings are also peaceful sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee listening to the waterfall.

The condo was absolutely spotless. Beds and linens were amazingly comfortable. Kitchen was designed well which made preparing meals so easy. We all loved how bright the condo was and the view it offered. The grounds were well maintained. We enjoyed the walking trail and the nice large pool. We also took advantage of the pickle ball courts. We went just for a long weekend but my family will definitely consider this condo for a week long vacation.

We booked last minute and by that, a day and a half before we arrived. Darlene responded within minutes and made arrival so easy with perfect directions/information. Darlene checked in with us during our visit and with the welcome packet Darlene sent us, I had minimal if any questions. The place exceeded our expectations and was so very close to the club and all the amenities. View was beyond! The only negative was we never saw a bear. 😂 We will be back!

This was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay for a family reunion with our twin 6yo daughters. It was cozy so I would say that more than two adults would find it difficult to share the space unless you only needed a space to sleep. The place was clean, had a lovely porch to enjoy the lake views, and was very comfortable.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We came with our 4 year old and our teenager. Both of them had a great time and had plenty of things to do that they both enjoyed, which is not usually the case with their age gap. The place itself had lots of toys and books for my toddler and her own bed. There were also games to play with my teenager as well. The kitchen was fully stocked and the house had all the little details like beach towels, an airfryer, and a picnic basket. The screened porch was a favorite location for all us to enjoy. We even saw a bear one day from the porch! The resort was a blas!. We utilized both in the indoor and outdoor pools, the mini golf, and the lake. We had no problem finding good food at the restaurants around us and the store was super close as well. We spent half of our time at the resort and half of it out exploring the nature surrounding us. There were sooo many waterfalls to see. It is such a beautiful area, we will most definitely be coming back!

What a lovely condo! Donna has thought of everything. From the beautiful linens and rugs, to the sweet porch and fresh flowers, she paid attention to detail. This is a great getaway spot for a girl’s long weekend, or a romantic stay for an anniversary! I’ll definitely return.
