Close to snow field parking is very convenient in the surrounding area! Host quick to respond to messages clear and accurate instructions prior to check in It was an awesome experience!

This place is great. Not many foreigners go to Kusatsu Onsen in the first place so the staff being friendly is great. The location is remote (about a 20 minute walk from town) and the walk gets old after about a day considering how many hills there are. I knew this when I booked the place, though. Kusatsu is worth it no matter the walk regardless. The only negative thing that I have to say about this place is that it's cold and I think the kerosene heater broke on night 2. Either that or we're just morons. Either way, fixing the room heaters should be a priority. This minor inonvenience was forgiven when the staff took us to the bus station in a snowstorm, saving us a long and brutal walk. Very kind of them.

Woww. This must be one of our most favorite stays in Japan! The actual place definitely looks even better than in the pictures! The two-floor apartment (a house really) is so spacious and so tastefully decorated. The house has so many glass windows that let in a lot of sunlight, a lot brighter than in the pictures! A perfect place to relax and spend a wonderful evening with friends and family especially after a full day of a skiing trip. We loved the kotatsu and the gas fan heaters. :))) We loved everything about the house really. Sayuri was wonderful host. We greatly appreciated our time at your place. Thank you so much!

It was easy to get to and from the slopes by shuttle bus, and the room was very clean because it was newly built.The owner's communication was very quick, kind, and easy to understand.

The advance information was polite, and they explained things directly after the stay, so I was able to use it comfortably with peace of mind. I would like to visit again.

The river was right in front of us, and we enjoyed a BBQ while enjoying nature. Although the atmosphere of a Japanese house, the interior of the room was as beautiful as if it had been renovated or newly built. The futon was thick and comfortable to sleep in. It was very fun to sell a lot of nearby road stations. It's spacious, beautiful, and I can relax while reading and enjoying the hot springs, and I'd love to stay again!Thank you!

This house was very spacious with plenty of seating and bedding. We wished we could have stayed longer! Heads up: The g maps directions from Naoetsu Station were a little tricky the first time - don’t take the shortest route. Take the second shortest route.

House was beautiful and clean. Amenities were in best conditions. Hot tub was very soothing and relaxing. All appliances including kitchen and projector were great. Walkable from Yubatake, and very near to Sainokawara park. There is a slope to climb for 200 meters right before reaching the house, in case helpful for pre planning your arrival. Highly recommend the place, its beautiful.

This place was above and beyond what we were hoping for!! The staff was amazing from our driver who picked us up from the station to Estelle who greeted us and showed us around plus the whole team who were great communicators through Airbnb. The house was so cozy and clean with all the amenities we needed plus the welcome gifts and treats were great. The house was close to the Gondola and we had all the links to purchase everything we needed from lift tickets, rentals, food, shuttle service and train tickets. The town is adorable and fun to walk around and the snow was amazing. We loved the view from our house and had the best time at Nozawaonsen!! We would 100% come back and stay with you guys again :))

Very nice home, konbini and grocery store right next to the unit. Host had very clear instructions and unit was easy to find.

Our stay in this beautifully designed Airbnb was fantastic. The attention to detail, especially the stunning doors, made the space feel warm and welcoming. The house was easy to heat, though the kerosene smell took a bit of getting used to. A car is definitely recommended. While centrally located, it’s about a 3 km walk to the Akakura restaurant area. Driving made accessing the slopes and dining spots much easier. The beds were extremely comfortable and warm, ensuring great sleep. The small kitchen was well-equipped—we made noodle stir-frys, salmon poke bowls, pancakes, and scrambled eggs with ease. Overall, this was a super comfortable stay, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Myoko Kogen. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Amazing idyllic, off the beaten track place. Quintessentially Japanese and lots of space. Recommend a car if you’re staying here. Amazing temple in this area too.

We really had a great stay here. The location was perfect with a rental car. 2 ski areas right up the road and the cute downtown with shops and restaurants around the corner. The house has so many bedrooms, and we only used 2 so we just closed off the others. The kitchen has everything you need for meals and we loved the espresso machine. We can’t wait to come in the Summer because I bet it’s absolutely beautiful.

I was worried about finding it because it was quite snowy, but It was helpful that it was clearly marked with lights and arrows. They prepared various things such as apples, Chinese cabbage, long green onions, and cup noodles. The room was spacious and clean, and I wanted to stay longer! I was very cold, so it would have been nice to have a bathtub, but I knew there wasn't one, so I went to a hot spring about 10 minutes away by car. We will be back!

From the moment I arrived, everything was smooth and easy. The place was sparkling clean, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities I could ask for. The kitchen/ living space was fantastic!! Also the bath! Overall, this was one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, hassle-free stay.

I really loved the area—it was peaceful, scenic, and just a great place to unwind. The cabin had everything you could possibly need, super comfortable and well-stocked. The onsen-style hot tub was such a nice touch and made the stay feel extra special. I’d definitely love to come back, especially in the fall—I can only imagine how beautiful it must be that time of year. The only thing that would've made the experience even better is a slightly later check-in and check-out. A 3pm check-in and 11am check-out would’ve made things feel a lot less rushed, especially in the evening and the next morning. Overall though, it was a great stay and I’m already thinking about the next trip!

We arrived at the property on a rainy, cold evening. There are various radiators available, which quickly heat the house and make it pleasant. In the large bathtub you can relax and unwind wonderfully from a strenuous hike or cold rainy weather. We were only guests for two nights, but we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you to our hosts.

The place is very nice inside and located in a peaceful area. It's clean and has a cozy living room and dining space. A bit hard to find though. The directions to find the house (since it's not in navigation or google maps) could be improved with higher quality and more photos. It takes about 45 mins to get to the Karuizawa area and requires driving through winding mountain roads. If the weather is great, no problem! We had rainy and foggy weather so we weren't able to make use of the outdoor space and the drive into Karuizawa took a bit longer due to the driving conditions.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Tani House. The host welcomed us personally and gave us lots of tips for restaurants and things to do in the area. She was always available if we had additional questions or requests. As for the house, although it is an old traditional house, the beautiful renovation makes it so it is very comfortable and offers any facility you may need. It was a joy to spend time in the house and its design. A plus was the river that was perfect for swimming and only a 3 minute walk. It is perfect for exploring both the Yuzawa and the Tokamachi area. Highly recommend staying here.
