From the second half of August to September, the summer bustle calms down, and it is a season when you can enjoy the quiet of Shinshu. During the day, go to the mountains and highlands, and at night, enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. This is a rental cottage where you can enjoy a sauna, BBQ, and the starry sky. As a base for sightseeing in Azumino, Hakuba, and Kamikochi, you can enjoy a comfortable stay for one night or for extended periods. Access to Hakuba, Kamikochi, and Tateyama-Kurobe is also good, and it can accommodate group trips, family trips, and long-term stays. With a washing machine and a bathroom dryer, it's also comfortable for extended stays. You can come by public transportation, but having a car is more convenient. Free pick-up and drop-off are available from Shinano-Matsukawa Station and Akashina Station. Other pick-up and drop-off services and sightseeing pick-up and drop-off services are available for 2,000-8,000 yen (round trip) depending on the distance, within 2 hours one way. This is Iizuna Kogen, a quiet villa area at an altitude of about 1000 meters. A simple log house built in 2022 with a strong aroma of wood. You can find lots of beautiful scenery within a 10-minute walk. Please don't miss the view of Mt. Iizuna from Lake Daiza-Hoshi. About 3 minutes on foot from the nearest bus stop (Iizuna Higashi-ku)! The next closest bus stop (Iizuna Kogen) is about a 7-minute walk away. You can also come by public transportation. Restaurants such as Mori no Eki, Iizuna Soba, ramen, and hamburgers are also within walking distance. About 25 minutes by car from Nagano Station and Zenkoji Temple. Togakushi Shrine is about a 15-minute drive away. It is also great as a base for golf and skiing in the Togakushi, Kurohime, and Myoko areas. Please also use it for climbing the Togakushi Kodo, Amatomi Trail, and Mt. Iizuna. If you'd like to visit a hot spring, Tengunokan on Lake Reisenji is about a 15-minute drive away. For a large public bath, Asobiba is about a 5-minute drive away. There is a discount on the bath fee. We lend projectors and screens free of charge. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. It is 60 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Karuizawa, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so you can work in the morning and take a half-day off in the afternoon, for example.
