Situated on a high ground opposite the Yuhigaoka rest stop where the sunsets are beautiful, you can spend your holiday in a quiet cottage between the ocean and the woods with vast expanses of ocean in front of you and untouched forests behind you. There are also several beaches nearby, and it is suitable for marine leisure and fishing. There is a microwave and refrigerator, but there is no stove, so it is not possible to cook in the room. The deck is large and open and has a BBQ that you can rent for a fee. (Reservation required, 4,000 yen fee, cannot bring in your own) Food ingredients are not included in the price, so please bring your own. Please note that you cannot cook anything other than the rented BBQ grill. There is no supermarket or convenience store for shopping within a 15 km radius. Please purchase ingredients in Matsuzaki or Shimogamo before coming. 百 HAKU <100-year-old Quaint Japanese Style Villa>

HAKU is a Japanese Style Villa. You can enjoy your private time as in your home. “HAKU“ is one of the readings of the character “百” which means “hundred”. Medieval Haiku poet, Basho Matsuo likened eternal passage of time to "百代の過客", a permanent traveller. In his time, a hundred years was expressed as eternal. HAKU was originally built as a farmer’s shed about a hundred years ago. It was recently relocated and renovated for another hundred years. HAKU will welcome you as traveling companions.
