Private Traditional Japanese house [B&B Matsukaze]
Yuya is a brilliant host, his breakfast is delicious and he is so kind and helpful. The BnB is stunning, peaceful and very well kept.

{Mo-Mo-Mo Room}
Yuu-san welcomed me for the New Years holidays even though I made a reservation in the last moment. He and his family are very kind and welcoming. I enjoyed exploring the traditional New Year's meals and the musical selection every morning :) This artistic home is in a peaceful countryside area and great if you need to disconnect and find your creativity. Thank you for your hospitality!

An authentic Japanese house (Home-stay)Room#WABI
What a beautiful traditional Japanese home to stay We totally loved the old house, beautiful decorations, the inner courtyard and our room. Everything was perfect! Chieri is a great host, we felt very welcomed and home right away. We were on a road trip, so we also enjoyed that we could wash our clothes. And we tried out the traditional japanese bath. Perfect! Chieri, thank you for everything! Hope to see you someday again!

White natural hot spring/ Available for 24 hours
I had an amazing stay. The host truly cares about making your stay as good as possible. I cannot recommend highly enough. The surrounding area makes for some great exploration and hiking, which id always finish off by relaxing at the onsen (there were both indoor and outdoor). I hope to be back one day!

Your Warm Second House/ 2 Bedrooms
Hisashi's place was our first experience in Airbnb, and it was very peaceful and smooth and nice. Hisashi help us for everything and we had a great breakfast there. If you want to see Fuji mnt. This place definitely works ❤️

Not suitable for families, but great for solo travelers. Stay in a private room that is not a whole house rental. Quiet people only. Free WiFi included
Although it is a bit of a distance from the station, however, it is because it is a residential area, so it is very peaceful, and for travelers who are exhausted during the day, it is possible to get plenty of rest here (there is 7-Eleven opposite, easy to buy things); the host is warm and proactively offered to assist, time can pick up and drop off at the station if the time can match, the message is also very quick to resume. Finally, thank you for recommending me where to go to a local bubble soup last night and give me a good night's sleep after that.I hope I'll be back next time.☺️

5-minute walk from JR Uji Station, 3 minutes to Keihan Uji and 3 minutes to Byodoin
A thousand thanks to Luffy for the stay and being such a friendly person, having at the entrance as soon as we get music from our favorite animes was an incredible point. In addition to being next to all the places in Hibike euphonium it was something I would definitely repeat again.

Experience life in a traditional Kyoto house
It was my first time visiting Kyoto, and staying at Kenji-san's Hana House was truly a unique experience. Living in a traditional Kyoto house allowed us to experience life like a local and learn new things along the way. The location is in a very quiet community—though it was a bit of a walk to the station, it was a pleasant one. Although we had limited time to spend with Kenji-san, he was always ready to help when needed and generously shared his experiences as a true artist through his beautiful artworks. Highly recommended!
Bed and breakfast rentals with breakfast

[Morning with food] Hakone Do-no-juku "Katsura"
The food and the room were very satisfactory. It was my first time using it, but it was an explanation of the access to the inn, and the communication after I arrived was very polite and pleasant. I would like to stay again if I have a chance.

[Dormitory] Dormitory/Shared room.
This guest house is will be the best choice. The host tommy is very kind and mindful. He speaks english very well, so someone who didn't speak japanese will be satified. Also, the domitory bed was very nice. It's cozy and comfotable. And Tommy will give you breakfast If you request. The toast was tasty. I recommend this guest house, you will not regret your choice. Thank you tommy!

Breakfast incl./KINGYOYA renovated traditional house/Deluxe Room
Albeit brief, this was my favorite stay of my entire Japan trip. The hosts were incredibly friendly and always proactive in making sure we felt at home not just in our accommodation but also in Kyoto and the lovely and peaceful neighborhood the townhome resides in. They made sure to follow up every question we had and made sure we were able to travel and make our next destination smoothly. We had some stressful travel beforehand, but they were extremely flexible in made our trip much easier. Also their cute daily breakfast was delicious and every single room had so much personality. It has a shared common space and bathroom but it never felt inconvenient and also allows you to get a one of a kind experience in Kyoto. The price was also incredibly reasonable and a great value. I look forward to returning next time I’m in town!

Japanese Traditional B&B Yogetsu
Chiyako-san was a wonderful host. Very warm and welcoming. We felt very much at home. Her house was lovely in a pretty rural setting. There was plenty to do nearby and Chiyako-san gave good suggestions and even picked us up/dropped us off at the station. Thank you, Chiyako-san!

10 minutes to Kiyomizu Temple | Yasaka Shrine 1 min | Changkaku Temple Inn # 401
I really enjoyed staying at Hide-san's property as it was conveniently located next to tourist attractions spots and had good access to transport links to other attractions. The room I stayed in also had a very authentic Japanese style design, which gave me the traditional Japanese experience I was looking for. Hide-san also showed me great hospitality and I enjoyed the many conversations that we had. The breakfast made by Hide-san also tasted really nice and it had a very homely feel to it. Overall, I'd recommend this property if you're looking for an authentic and traditonal Japanese experience in Kyoto. If I come to Japan again then I'll make future reservations at this property.

Kizuna: Relaxing Stay in 150 yr old Farmhouse
It was my first time traveling abroad with my dog for a month, and the process before departure wasn't smooth, so I was worried about whether the two of us could get along well. Those worries were in vain, and I really enjoyed the trip because Yuki and Kevin took care of a lot of things.😊 I'm so grateful that I was able to make a lot of memories that I wouldn't have had if I booked a regular vacation home or hotel! I was so grateful that you picked me up by car all the way to the airport and the station, and provided delicious meals every day. Everyone in the village was kind and friendly, so I enjoyed the Japanese countryside with my dog. I prefer a quiet and relaxing trip with nature rather than a crowded and busy sightseeing, so it was even better.☺️ I'm also looking forward to a new kids or house, so please invite me when the house is repaired.💓 Take care of your health. I hope you have a lot of fun until the day we meet again.🙇♀️🙇♀️ Cosmo and Hinah, stay healthy!!

8 mins Walk to Center | Double Room | minato hotel
I had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb in Kyoto! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help out with any questions or needs. The location is great – it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest station and equally close to popular spots like Sanjo and Nishiki Market, making it easy to explore the area. One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the breakfast. It wasn’t just a standard continental breakfast – each morning, they prepared a full, delicious spread for every guest, which was such a treat to start the day. You could really feel the care and effort they put into making everyone feel at home. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The only minor issue was the washer and dryer, which are a bit dated. The dryer took a while to dry a half load, so I’d recommend doing smaller loads or planning laundry for when you have some time to hang out. Overall, I loved my stay here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting!

Tsukiya-Mikazuki-old western style double room
I planned a trip to Kyoto with a classic B&B vibe in mind and while there was no opportunity to eat all together, Tsukiya was perfect! Location was exactly where we wanted to be in the city, with easy access to public transit and even walkable areas. The breakfasts every morning were thoughtfully crafted starting about 2 hours beforehand. The space was authentic - highly recommend to anyone going to Kyoto!
