Family-friendly vacation rentals in Timperley

We had a wonderful stay. Spotlessly clean and a very comfortable house. The only drawback was the difficulty for house guests trying to get in and out of the one road leading directly to the Farmhouse, this appeared to be due to cars being parked on the roadside as the (walker's/hiker's carpark) was very busy and full.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is finished to a high spec and in a great area. there are plenty of dog friendly places to eat and drink within easy walking distance and we found the locals to all be very friendly and chatty.. our big dog is like a celebrity wherever we take him so that's always a conversation starter! For other dog owners - the yard is VERY secure and you can enjoy the sauna and hot tub without worrying about them. There are light coloured carpets in some rooms downstairs but I had read that on previous reviews so bought many blankets and towels to cover the floor where the dogs would walk and lie.our dogs wouldn't go to the toilet on the yard and the grassy area isn't enclosed from the owners area so we made sure we had them on a lead. Not really an issue but I didn't realise the garden wouldn't be enclosed..only mentioning it to help others. We didn't get to meet Scott but when I had a question he was always super quick in replying .will definitely be back

The hosts were incredibly kind, polite, and helpful, providing plenty of information and always being responsive and willing to help with everything. The house is amazing, just as it looks in the pictures. The surroundings are beautiful, with amazing views, and the place is spotless and well-maintained. Highly recommend!

Absolutely wonderful little place! My partner and I came for an over might stay and everything was faultless. Idyllic surroundings, a super cute and cosy shepherds hut and a very communicative host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again many times. Brilliant 🤩

We had a lovely 4 days away. Such a peaceful, relaxing time! House is great, clean and well equipped.. we are a 4 dog family and Gemma allowed the dogs which was fantastic - the front gravelled garden was secure and a bonus for them to be in and out of the house.. The views from the house are amazing. 🤩

We had a lovely few days here. Our kids really enjoyed seeing the lambs in the field at the back of the property & the chickens roaming about. Tranquil setting, spotless, spacious house and responsive host, we would definitely stay again! Would recommend the Beehive pub which was only a short walk away, family friendly & delicious food.

We had a wonderful stay at the woodland Yurt on the farm. You have the woods to yourself when you stay, meaning you can fully enjoy a peaceful weekend. We saw owls and a roe dear close to the yurt which was lovely. Dot provides you with everything you need for a perfect stay, you have the stove to heat water up which is great but there is also a communal kitchen a 2 minute walk away, where you can fill up the insulated hot water tank and your hot water bottles before bed. Dot and her family made us feel very welcome and were helpful whenever we had a question. We loved every second and will definitely be back again to that beautiful little woodland and back to the wilderness.

We absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely be staying again. It’s something different and so peaceful! We sat outside and lit a fire and looked out at the amazing views. Thankyou so much for our stay we can’t wait to come back!

We had an emergency at our house due to some building work and found mikes place on here. It was a short notice weekday booking yet everything was perfect. So thankful for all the little well thought through extras like tea, milk, juice etc. The flat is gorgeous and the garden is beautiful with a lovely view of the hills. We only live down the road but we'd be tempted to book again just to stay somewhere so lovely. Thank you so much mike.

Jane's property was in a fab location for our weekend we were able to do both the countryside and the city. The immediate area is lovely and quiet and having pub shop and station within walking distance was brilliant. The garden made the weekend a pleasure because of fab weather. All instructions were really helpful .

Great location for countryside walks and also for catching the train into Manchester within half hour.

We loved our stay at Swallows Nest. A tranquil, peaceful stay which allowed us to remove ourselves from our busy lives for a few days and enjoy the quiet. Slaithwaite has loads to offer too in terms of good restaurants & nice walks… all in such a picturesque spot too. Everything in the cottage was top standard. Clean. Comfy beds. The shower is great and the bath is huge! Our daughter very much enjoyed her relaxing baths every evening. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Rumpus is a must visit in town for the most delicious burgers using beef from the cattle at Sally’s farm. Thank you Sally for such a wonderful stay.

Hi Jane We had a lovely short stay in The Dairy. We were so lucky with the weather! It was lovely having breakfast outside! The place was small but had all the things we needed. It was spotlessly clean. Only thing- we tried to use the oven but couldn’t seem to turn it on. However we used microwave instead! Thank you. Carol

Had a really love stay at this property for a hen do. Really scenic location, host was welcoming and very friendly. Gave clear instructions on where to park, plenty of car parking spaces. It is on a steep hill, so just something to bear in mind. House was lovely and clean and had everything we needed! Beds were super comfy too! Thanks again Sara! x

We had a great time staying at Hywel’s place. The check in process was super quick and simple and the house was beautiful, really cosy and homely. The place was super clean and had everything we needed and more! There’s also a fab collection of games to play on an evening in the living room. I didn’t know too much about the location prior to booking, however I was really pleasantly surprised. Marsden is full of gorgeous restaurants and cafes, and we were spoilt for choice finding somewhere for breakfast on the day we left and they were all really close by. Hywel is super friendly and has been really attentive, we would definitely come back! Thank you for having us!

We had a terrific few days here. The place was immaculate. The pictures really don’t do it justice. It’s a lovely spacious building. The bedrooms are a great size and the beds are lovely and comfy. It’s really is a beautiful setting. Really peaceful. The views are breathtaking taking. Wayne is lovely with lots of tips for the local area. All in all we had a relaxing time, just what we needed! We would definitely return. Many thanks Wayne for a wonderful stay!

This lovely flat was situated high up in the heart of Manchester City centre. Excellent location within walkable distance to bars and restaurants. The flat is very nicely decorated with a lovely balcony overlooking the skyline. The flat was clean and tidy the kitchen was well stocked. My bed was super comfy with a lovely soft duvet. Warren was a really attentive host offering a large selection of places to eat and drink which took the pressure off of me having to do that before I came. I would highly recommend this place for a stay a little gem in the heart of the city.

We had the best time staying at the vestry. Emma and Ian communicated well before and during our stay. We can be a little nervous travelling with our 5 year old son due to his food allergies however Emma ensured nothing was left that could have caused a potential reaction. The vestry is full of character and the perfect little escape that offered everything we could need. We enjoyed exploring Poynton and found lots of beautiful walks around the area. Lyme park was a favourite of our sons. We also enjoyed trips into Manchester and found the vestry the perfect spot to rest after a busy day. We would have loved to visit in autumn or winter to make use of the log fire but there is always next time 😊

We had a great stay, the house is spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely secluded back garden to look out on from the living room. Beds comfy, little touches provided like extra blankets, soap stuff in bathroom etc. Really appreciated Simon's flexibility on check in time. Would stay there again.

Fantastic flat, smack in the middle of action. The Northern Quarter is fun! So many restaurants, cafes, shops. We walked to Etihad for a game and walked back—an amazing experience. The flat is stylish, clever, comfortable, and very clean. Paula is an excellent communicator. A wonderful stay.

Lock Keepers Cottage is amazing ! Location is perfect , it comes with a feeling of being priviledge to stay in a cottage Lock Keepers . Everything was wonderful , clean , and we had amazing time . Will be back !!!

Steven was so friendly and accommodating. He allowed to check out a little later so I didn’t need to get to the train station too early. The night I arrived, he even offered to join him and his family for an outing in the event that my friend would be not available to see me as it was a school night and he had to work the next day. So all in all, he really went out of his way to make you feel very welcome from the moment you arrived. The accommodation had EVERYTHING you might need. Just one example, I’d forgotten my shower gel and shampoo - but no worries, there was some there available! You also had different refuse bags available in case you wanted to separate your food waste from the rest. The wifi worked perfectly throughout the property. You are only a 5-10 min walk away from all the best that Chorlton-cum-Hardy has to offer, and to the local tram stop which takes you the centre of Manchester in 10 minutes, as well as Didsbury, Victoria station, and Manchester airport.
