Smoking friendly vacation rentals in Tierra Oscura

This was a great place to stay during our visa update from Costa Rica. The shopping was very good. Prices are much better than in Costa Rica. Taxi service was fantastic. They were quick polite and cheap. The unit was clean and ready. Nice little kitchen, that we did not use. We just went out to eat. Yamileth was a very good host. Everything went fine.

this place has great views, direct access to the sea for daily snorkels or kayaking, or just swimming. the sun is relentless here, so bring lots of sunscreen. the place is remote and isolated. you have to take a water taxi to get anywhere out of the resort. the hostess will cook your meals to order. the room has no AC, no TV and it is truly meant for disconnecting and relaxing, enjoying the fresh sea air. during the evening there are these little bigs that bite called chitras and there are tiny lizards as well diring the evening. all part of being in the tropics and being close to the jungle. i really enjoyed myself in paradise.

Der Aufenthalt bei Dan hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am Meer und wenn man Glück hat, kann man sogar direkt vor Ort surfen. Das Haus ist sehr charmant und liebevoll eingerichtet und hier ist es im Vergleich zum Rest der Insel angenehm kühl, da es windig ist. Wir fanden es sehr geräumig zu viert - es hätten auch mehr Gäste Platz. 2 mal hatten wir sogar das Glück, dass uns ein Faultier direkt auf der Terrasse besucht hat - ein absolutes Highlight. Dan und Lily sind sehr nett und tolle Gastgeber! :)

I loved my short stay at Heiner’s property! I was sad to have only booked one day. Heiner and his onsite staff were very friendly and attentive. This unit is one of four rooms and is located a brief 5 min water taxi from the main island. It is the perfect location to feel secluded by still have access to town. If you decide not to venture into town, there is an amazing onsite restaurant. High quality and tasty food at a very reasonable price. Already planning a future stay!

Quedamos encantadas con el lugar, desde que llegas Lilian te hace sentir como en casa, coloco una camita y una taza para mis perros, eso me sorprendió nunca nadie lo había hecho, Lilian es extremadamente amigable, te explica todo con calma y entusiasmo, te recomienda lugares que visitar y es muy atenta. En cuanto al sitio definitivamente es hermoso, impecable, la cama super cómoda, las almohadas, todo es de primera calidad, el baño espectacular puedes oír música mientras te bañas y estaba extremadamente limpio, Lilian te deja toallas, café, agua potable. En cuanto a la cocina encuentras todo lo que necesitas y más sus implementos son de primera calidad. Realmente nos encantó el lugar y definitivamente lo recomendamos y nos quedaríamos nuevamente allí. Gracias Lilian por hacer nuestro hospedaje maravilloso.

Un séjour de rêve ! On a adoré ce logement a Bocas ! Un très bon rapport qualité prix pour le standing offert : logement indépendant avec sa propre sdb et cuisine ! Ne pas se fier aux photos car la réalité est bien meilleure !! Un accueil très amical avec des personnes à nos petits soins. Possibilité de faire sa lessive sur place pour 5$. Eau potable en accès illimité et gratuit. Une vue magnifique sur la mer car la maison est sur pilotis. Il vaut mieux apporter ses boules quies si vous êtes sensibles au bruit (on entend la mer mais aussi ses voisins et la musique dans la rue) mais c’était tout à fait ok pour nous ! Réseau internet parfait pour travailler sur place ! Une cuisine bien équipée avec plaque et four ! Le supermarché est littéralement à 5 mn à pied. Le centre ville a moins de 30mn à pied. Si besoin des bus passent devant la maison pour aller à la plage ou le centre. Bref il faut absolument que vous y alliez ! C’est le paradis ! On a même prolongé notre séjour.

La casa es espectacular. En los detalles se nota el amor con que la han decorado a través de los años. Es super acogedora y cómoda. El ambiente es relajado y pacífico. Comunicación fácil y rápida con Alexander. Esperamos volver pronto. Gracias

La casa de Sylwia es fantástica, la ubicación es increíble, en una isla muy tranquila y con vecinos muy simpáticos y amables. La terraza con vistas al mar es un sueño. Hay que tener en cuenta que tanto para para ir como para salir es imprescindible tomas un water taxi y que en la propia isla los servicios son escasos. Un lugar ideal para desconectar y relajarse. La comunicación con los anfitriones fue excelente en todo momento.

We had a great stay at Jairo‘s place in Bastimientos. The house is located on a hill above the main town. The way up can be a bit muddy when it rains. The accomodation was really good and had a balcony with a beautiful view into the green garden. The house was clean and comfortable. The island Bastimientos was a good choice as it was really calm and you can walk to a very nice beach 15 mins away.

A quiet paradise over the water. The only sounds were birds and waves, and the occasional boat passing by. Connect to the ocean and nature day and night by watching birds and fish and bats right from your dinner table. If you're looking for some peace and quiet - this is the place for you!

בית מקסים בקומה השנייה, כל החלונות צופים לג׳ונגל עם קופים, ציפורים ותוכים. נמצא כעשר דקות נסיעה מהמרכז, 2 דקות הליכה מהים. פטריסיו מארח מושלם, ידידותי וזמין לכל בקשה. נהנינו מאוד להתארח, נשמח לחזור בהמשך.

It is a beautiful home for a big family to stay in, and it is easy to move around the island from the location. It is a secured area with private parking. We had a grate time.

We just spent several days at Casa Piedra and loved every second we were there! pick up from the dock in town was easy and the location in Dolphin Bay is beautiful! The house sits on top of a small hill and takes in the surrounding views and the breeze. We were greeted by the property care taker and he made sure we had everything we needed and explained how everything in the house worked! We spent hours kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and snorkeling. The gardener stopped by and offered us a guided walking tour through the jungle. The property has all types of fruit growing fresh! From the dock we saw dolphins in the bay nearly every night. We stayed during a new moon and were able to experience the bioluminescence in the bay. Sit on the dock at night and kick you feet and watch the water light up like twinkling stars! The beds were comfortable. There is a full time kitchen so stop at one of the stores in town and get some of your favorites! There is a tv but we never even attempted to turn it on! The owners were incredible! They were very easy to communicate with and offered suggestions on things to do and see. They provide a list of contacts at the house for any excursion you could possibly want! The hosts, Brian and Amy own a neighboring resort and were also incredible in offering any assistance, suggestions and answering any questions we had. We actually had dinner at their place on evening and the food was amazing! The combination of everything was just perfect! We will definitely be back!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa Serena and can't say enough good things about the house and all of Marcela's attentions with our family. It was our first time visiting and it can be overwhelming planning a trip like this one and Marcela was so kind and gracious to make recommendations for tours, transporting our rental car, etc. The house is exactly as pictured and so spacious for a large family. We can't thank you enough!!
