Renate's villa is a beautiful building with a beautiful garden and beautiful surroundings. Renate is very nice and knows the area very well, she not only had great ideas for activities but can also tell you a lot of interesting things about the area. We were very well satisfied!

Mature trees and blooming flowers surround a stone exterior adorned with climbing greenery. A balcony with potted plants is visible, enhancing the historic charm of the building. Tall windows provide glimpses of the character-filled interior.

This beautiful real 15th century castle is spacious and well-appointed and the lovely couple that 'caretake' were very gracious and friendly as well as helpful. The surrounding area is pastoral and peaceful-great for hiking and nature walks. It was a wonderful stay and we would love to return.

I’d give 10 stars if I could - Karl and Anna were the perfect hosts, the apartment was even more gorgeous live, incredibly clean and probably one of the best Air B&Bs I have stayed at - we just wished we would have booked it for longer! Despite the summer months, it was nice and cool inside the bedrooms - it was just so perfect for our party of 5… If you are looking to explore the Bavaria/Thuringia area in Germany, do yourself a favor and book Karl’s & Anna’s place. It is a total gem and will make you feel like you were dropped in the middle of a Brothers Grimm fairy tale…! Thanks so much Anna & Karl!

It was beautiful there! Idyllic village and incredibly quiet! Very nice hosts and very accommodating! Castle apartment even bigger than expected :) you had your peace but also never felt left alone. Would do it again and recommend it ☺️

Viktoria offers a great accommodation in a castle, everything was exactly as described and she was truly helpful and communicative! We really enjoyed the weekend in such a beautiful, cozy and relaxing place. Definitely recommend it!

Daniela is the groundskeeper for Franz and she is a wonderful host. It's a beautiful house/castle with lots of room. the master bedroom is upstairs with a bathroom across the hallway. there are two rooms downstairs with a bathroom in between. Internet is sufficient for one person to do zoom video calls. WiFi signal in the bedrooms downstairs are a bit weak. But then whose working when you have such beautiful backyard (acres) to explore. Daniela and her daughter gave us the best tour of the castle. highly recommend this experience.

What a place!! Wonderful apartment steeped in history. Super clean comfy and well equipped. Arnoud was so friendly and helpful. Nice pool and bar snacks etc too. So pleased to find this place.
