Ivywood cottage is medieval in age, but contemporary in design, with luxurious finishes and fine detailing. The house is in a unique rural setting and was once part of the Gawdy Hall Estate. The house sits next to a beautiful 15th century church, set within a 3 acre church yard. Glorious and plentiful Waveney Valley walks in all directions. Guests have complete privacy and run of the house, including a private garden. We respect our guest's privacy, and are on call for any advice or assistance that you may need during your visit. The cottage is a short picturesque drive from the coastal gems of Southwold and Aldeburgh. Harleston and Bungay are quintessential English towns with charming independent stores, delis, family butchers, bistro cafes, pubs, restaurants, and tea shops. It's the countryside, most people drive. Diss is the mainline station between London and Norwich and is just 15 minutes by car. Cycling is very popular and the cottage is on a regular time trial route. Buses are very reliable and the village is well serviced making it easy to hop between Suffolk and Norfolk villages. There is fabulous walking from the cottage. Located in the Waveney Valley paths such as Angles Way which follows the Waveney river valley are right on your doorstep.

This charming recently modernised two bedroom end-terrace holiday cottage in the centre of the village conservation area sleeps up to four guests. It is perfectly located for exploring the Suffolk Coast, historic sites like Framlingham and Orford Castles, Sutton Hoo and Snape Maltings and is a great area for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers, with the magnificent Minsmere RSPB reserve just 8 miles away. Up to two well behaved pets allowed. Note: there are 2 padded low beams and steep stairs.
