Place was absolutely beautiful! The porch was very relaxing at night!

Words can't describe this stay. Bring right on the river, kayaking, swimming, the sheep/donkey/goats and the fire pit were just what we needed to unwind and detach from city life. Incredible stay, and we will definitely be back.

In all my years of staying in really beautiful places all over the country, this perfect little cabin on the Medina River is maybe my favorite. I stayed for three nights and almost couldn't bear to leave. Even my dog was depressed when I started packing. The cabin is thoughtfully appointed--love all the 1950s, Wes Anderson-esque touches, including the record player, used books, puzzles, and games--but it's also comfortable, clean, quaint, and simple. The screened porch is where you will want to live, especially if you love delighting in the constant stream of hummingbirds. That is, when you're not enjoying every inch of the gorgeous surroundings. My dog and I spent many hours hiking the greenbelt, swimming in the sparkling river, sitting with the fireflies at dusk, meeting friendly neighbors (though you'll find mostly wonderful solitude), and photographing the butterflies, frogs, turtles, and birds. It's a true gem of a getaway, and I can't wait to return.

Kathleen is a great host. All communication were very easy and she was very friendly. Her property is beautiful and clean. Our family enjoyed their weekend stay and cannot wait to come back again.

We enjoyed the fishing and our stay. The lake and the view was beautiful. Adam was very responsive and helpful!

Favorite place I’ve ever stayed. The house and the view was even prettier than in the photos. It was a long drive for us from Houston, but worth every minute. Only regret was not staying even longer!! We will have to come back we loved it so much. I was a little worried that it might be cramped with the other houses but it was surprisingly secluded. And I didn’t think an A frame house could be so spacious! Carleen created such a cozy and welcoming space and went above and beyond. Loved my stay!!!!!

Peaceful and tranquil stay! The cabin had everything we needed. Excellent instructions and recommendations from host! Favorite part - comfy beds and the garden turtles that were at the pond behind the house. We’ll be back!

Perfect quiet, peaceful, very secluded, primitive; yet darling little place for our 25-year anniversary celebration! Very clean and stocked with all the necessities. The hosts were extremely helpful and responsive. 5 ⭐️’s!

This was by far one of the best BnBs we've stayed in. The location is quiet, peaceful, and perfect for getting away. The house and hot tub were immaculate, and everything we needed was on site. We picked up a few groceries on the way and never had to leave. Mary left snacks, cupcakes, cold drinks, the cabinets were stocked...I could go on and on. All these wonderful, personal little touches made for the perfect weekend. Mary was super responsive, not only with answering questions, but proactively checking in to make sure everything was going well. Thank you again, Mary, for the hospitality. You're an amazing host.

Beautiful Cabin, private & peaceful exactly what we needed. The bed was super comfortable and the cabin has everything we needed , close distance to wimberley square which had lots of great dining options.

This was the most absolute perfect choice to spend our honey moon weekend at. Such a beautiful property with so many convenient things around the house. I can’t remember the last time I used a hot tub but we stayed in the hot tub for hours just enjoying it. My stay was an absolute 100/10! Highly recommend!!

We enjoyed our stay here! Beautiful surroundings. Definitely felt right at home here. Far away from town to be peaceful but close enough so the drive did not feel like a burden. Will definitely come back.

The Cypress Creek Retreat was absolutely stunning. My husband and I wanted to find a nice quiet place to celebrate my birthday away from the city. We found this spot and were thrilled. Before arriving, I chatted with Patti about the spot, and she was extremely friendly and informative! Upon arriving, we were greeted and let in to the gated property by her kind and thoughtful husband David. He took us to the house on their property and told us a bit about the area. There were so many delightful creatures around; bees flew about, squirrels sat upon trees, and hummingbirds ate from feeders right on the porch! It was by far the coziest place my husband and I had ever stayed. I slept nearly the whole night, which is hard for me in unfamiliar places. The kitchen was superb and well-stocked, and the bathroom was incredibly clean! The TV in the living room was already equipped with a Roku device, so we could enjoy our shows away from home. All in all, a perfect stay at a perfect place.

Wow is all! What a great place!! So private and the Hot tub/ infinity pool is the icing on the cake! Definitely will be staying here again even our dogs loved roaming the fenced in yard! Book this place!

The cabin is very rustic and.perfect for our large family. The River was a perfect height and the kids kayaked, fished and swam. We sat aroundvthe firepit and roasted marshmellows and had smores. The cabin has a washer and dryer and amenities that would make one feel at home.

Had a fabulous weekend. Went for the Cattle Country music festival, great place to come home to - full moon! Super private and so comfortable

Hands-down, the best campground experience in Texas! Tammy, Tammy, Tammy! Ms. Tammy is the mayor of Dos Rios, and along with her sidekick, Roger and Nikki and Richard, this place is heaven. I am legit a better person for having stayed there. I can’t wait to go back.

This stay was fantastic. The quiet, beautiful and spacious getaway cabin was exactly what we needed to get away from the craziness of today. Driving up to the cabin and being greeted by the massive bull and a heard of donkeys made our day. Having time away from technology and others made this for a very much needed peaceful vacation. I could go on and on about Ashley and Alan, after our short stay I feel like they are family now. They are so kind and respectful of privacy but also willing to chat and treat us with love and respect! Their space was cute and cozy and just what we needed for our trip, the bed was comfy and the bathroom is so cool with the waterfall sink. One of our favorite parts was the awesome hot tub we could relax in, even in the heat of May with almost 100° days the nights cooler down enough to enjoy a nice soak. Their place is close enough to many things so we would drive to surrounding towns to experience the hill country. We will absolutely be back and are already trying to plan a time to make that happen! I 100% recommend staying with them if you have the chance, you will leave blessed and refreshed. 💕
