The Garden House

Our get-a-way is an oasis on a beautiful island, at the end of the road. We are very close to Fillongly Park with its beaches, views of nearby Hornby Island, and old growth trails along the creek. Our garden house is tucked behind the main house. It's surrounded by abundant landscape, woodland, a seasonal stream, and our horse pasture. The house and it's surroundings are private and peaceful. You may see the horses, a peacock, tree frogs and deer, but you won't see any traffic or crowds.

In a quiet neighborhood, a lovely, private, air-conditioned, vaulted-ceiling cabin with glass front overlooking Baynes Sound and the mountains of Vancouver Island. Self-contained with a private entrance. Queen-size bed in loft, single bed on main floor. Private bathroom with shower. Private access to beach. Close to ferry, a short walk to the local village. Please note that this property is not suitable for people with mobility issues or small children. WE DO NOT CHARGE CLEANING FEES.

This remote property is fronting a quiet ocean inlet. Located 3 km back in the forest, it is an oasis of tranquility. Enjoy tidal flats filled with oysters, bird life, and clear water. The cottage is located at the edge of a garden clearing. Great kayak launch with access to Desolation Sound. 3 km access road, which is a bit bumpy in some places. Bring your groceries, a flashlight, and solid shoes. The fridge is 3/4 size. We have the best drinking water ever here! No smokers, please.

This 800 sf home has all new appliances and a brand new kitchen and bathroom. Located one block from the sea wall and just a few minutes walk from the main shopping strip on the water front. The backyard has been graciously updated with a new seating area, hot tub, and pellet BBQ.

Watch the sun rise, the wind tossing the waves ashore or walk across the road to the beach. It is a nice swimming beach.Lots of wildlife, birds, seals, sea lions, otters and if you get lucky you might see whales. This carriage house has lots of character and is a clean simple, cozy space for a get away.
