Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Tavira

We enjoyed a very relaxing and easy 7 days at Marie's house. The place is stunning, even more so than the pictures, and the effort that has gone into maintaining it is evident. Marie was always responsive when we had any questions either about the house or the local area, and waited to meet us after our late night flight, so we wouldn't miss the turning for the house. Getting into Tavira is super easy, the only consideration is that the driveway of the house is long and very bumpy. You don't need a 4x4 or anything, but it was a bit of a surprise the first time we got there! Would very much recommend this place and the local area. Merci, Marie!

Fabulous in all respects: Carla, (her communications, help, humour and charm), the Villa, (comfort, facilities and cleanliness), the area, (quiet, peaceful, relaxing and an easy walk into town) and Tavira, (restaurants, bars, the boat trip to the island and chilled atmosphere). We’ll be back!

We arrived on an early flight from the airport. Antonio and Rosa very kindly let us drop off our luggage and then messaged us when we could check in. They showed us round and gave us recommendations on restaurants etc. They also left us some fruit, biscuits and water for our first day which was really appreciated. The house is in a lovely area close to the centre and has a sunny terrace from the bedroom and a smaller one from the kitchen where we enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely stay again on our next trip to Tavira.

Thankyou Nina for allowing us to share your beautiful home which was so well equipped,beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The views from the terrace where we sat in the morning with our breakfast were stunning and in the evening we sat in the garden watching the sunset . Very easy to get to supermarket and a few restaurants. Absolutely loved this place.

It's a wonderful house. It is very well located. It has everything to enjoy it. Too bad the deal is simply business. Check-out time was 12 noon, we asked to extend it a little, and for this we had to pay a disproportionate amount for 5 more hours, all by message. Airbnb should regulate that anyway. Since we were going with a baby, and we had a very late flight, we had to do it. This is the first time this has happened to us without anyone checking in the next day (we know because as soon as we paid there were no problems). Of course, it's not mandatory, it's a courtesy, and other times we haven't needed it, or we haven't asked for it. They made a serious mistake by telling us that breakfast was included, and when we went, they told us that they had made a mistake. And that everyone makes mistakes. Either way, the house is wonderful. Perfect to spend a few great days.

Nuno and Ana are wonderfully friendly and helpful hosts. The house is equipped with all ( and even more) comforts; really everything you need is present. We enjoyed the house, the garden and the location!!!

The house was great. Perfect position if you want to be staying in central Tavira. Jean-Louis and Lee were very welcoming, efficient, kind and responsive. We would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Thank you for a wonderful week in the beautiful Algarve. The apartment was perfect, we loved the pool, the local beach, collecting shells and the helpful people at the local market. We bought fresh bread and seafood everyday and ate on the terrace each night. We loved the swallows, the wild flamingoes, the hummingbird moths, and the geckos. It was just bliss. Thank you so much - we would love to come back 💙💙💙

A beautiful tiny home in an idyllic setting! Fatima is an excellent host, very warm and welcoming. The fresh orange juice made onsite was a highlight, and the gardens spanning the property were lovely. Photos can’t quite capture the magic! The space is very small, so is certainly cozy for two people plus luggage. The kitchen is helpful for simple meals. We were provided with ample towels and comfortable sheets. Also, there is a tourist tax to be payed in cash during your stay that is not included in the Airbnb charge. The property is in a rural setting, but within driving distance to numerous towns, including Tavira and Fuseta. We enjoyed a fresh fish dinner in Fuseta at a restaurant recommended by Fatima.

We’ve just returned from a lovely and relaxing 8 nights stay at Debbies place. The apartment is exactly as described, with an authentic and homely feel. What wasn’t listed was all the amenities that Debbie provided both in the bathroom and kitchen (iron, shower gel etc) which were really helpful. The view isn’t quite as pictured anymore as there is some construction just started, but it was so quiet we never heard it and still spent every morning eating our breakfast listening to the birds and catching the morning rays. The complex is lovely, with three pristine clean pools. It was so quiet during our stay that most days we had one of the pools to ourselves which was bliss. Tavira is a 20 minute walk away or €4 in an Uber. It is such a beautiful town, we loved it. So peaceful and free from hoards of tourists. Debbie was a great host. She checked in on us during our stay to make sure all was well. The check in and check out instructions were really clear. I would recommend!

Great Place, nice cafe next door and the local square a few minutes walk away.

Lovely area. The board walk is stunning. Local restaurants and bars. All reasonable and typically Portuguese. Indoor swimming on the complex was perfect. Wonderful weather.The free boat ( just 3 minutes) to a stunning long private beach really was the icing on the cake. Pedro helpful and replied promptly to texts. We used bikes free of charge. We had a wonderful time in the beautiful, well-equipped and sparkling clean apartment. Filipe was always easily accessible and also contacted us proactively. The apartment is very close to nice restaurants and to the boat dock on the beach. There were always free parking spaces right in front of the apartment complex. We did not need the two underground parking spaces belonging to the apartment. Thank you, Filipe, for the opportunity to postpone the check-out a little and for the many good restaurant tips. I'd love to come back and look forward to the next stay in Cabanas de Tavira and in your beautiful apartment.

What a wonderful apartment,everything you needed for a long or short stay , bed was very comfortable,pillows were so good I went and bought same ones from ikea to take home . Bathroom was very nice ,large living room and bedroom ,2 min walk to supermarket,15 min walk from Tavira .Easy to use Uber to get taxi to mar shopping center in Almancil around 23 euro each way .Had a great holiday in this apartment

We had a lovely time! What a unique stay! We loved having the pool to use on a quiet day or to refresh as we explored the area. As a family of 4 we had more than enough space. The parking is also super convenient. The host was very helpful with our questions. They also provided many local recommendations

What a pleasant surprise! Cabanas de Tavira is a lovely place . We loved the beach, specially with kids, lots of shells and very calm ocean. My girls loved the swimming pool, and the apartment is walking distance to the restaurants and shops for a night stroll. We would definitely return. One of the nights my girls wanted to watch the evening show from the hotel, a bit pricey to what it is, but apart from that everything was great!

My husband & I had never been to Portugal. We stayed in Ana's apartment for 9 nights. Everything about this apartment was absolutely perfect for us, quiet, alter safe with code entry system at main door/swimming pool and the actual apartment door is top quality heavy duty, even Ronnie Briggs wouldn't be able to get in. Electric Stutters in all rooms also made you feel safe when out and about, however as I mentioned this area of Cabanas Taveria is super safe. It was the best nights sleep we had in years as with the shutters down it's dark with no sun pollution made us sleep till 8 am on some days. The cleanliness of the apartment /layout is superior to any other AirB&B we have stayed in & we have experienced a few over the years. The pool is fabulous to relax by after doing the tourist bit. Ana is available if needed and also Ana has a great chap called Ruben that lives in Cabanas should you need anything or advice. Book it. 10 out of 10 Will be returning. Thanks Ana.

Great place with beautiful pool

Really enjoyed staying here. it's a beautiful colourful clean perfect place to stay and everywhere in Tavira is just a walk away Hosts are very friendly.

The apartment was perfect for a stay with our 8 month old, had 2 bedrooms, high chair and even some toys which he enjoyed! The pools were lovely, and the ability to walk to lots of places to eat and drink was great, also lots of takeaway options on Uber eats! Made our evenings nice and relaxing after the baby went to bed. You had to take a boat to the beach, which with a baby was a bit daunting, but when you got there it was very well set up with a board walk for the buggy the whole way to the sun beds basically The stairs down to the apartment were a bit annoying with the buggy, would have been handy to exit the apartments at the gate we could clearly see at the end of our row of apartments, but not too much of a problem Nice to have the place cleaned half way through, kitchen well stocked with everything you’d want
