The stay is best suited for family of 6-8 people. 1: Clean and spacious 2 : Kitchen with all necessary utensils, plates and cups I would recommend this place if you are a group of 6-8 people. You can stay comfortably and it's 1 km from ooty botanical garden. Mr. Desingh who stays in first floor explained everything clearly and has given instructions on where and when to visit nearby places in ooty which was so helpful. Overall we had a great experience staying here.

This airbnb feels more like a home to me , and the way Manju has kept the place makes it look and feel like one too. This is my 6th visit to the compound and honestly, I'd probably shift my travel dates to make sure I can stay here. Each time I also notice new additions, such as additional lighting in the house or cute trays in the bathroom that have essentials. Manju is such a warm host, and makes sure she checks in to see if you need anything. I'd highly recommend this place ( and their other listings) if you're visiting Bangalore or even if you wanted a quiet getaway as a local. Highly recommended!

Basil teacher, as she's known around, is one of the most meticulous hosts we've come across. The place is surrounded by lush sylvan and the Meenachil river. It's quiet and wonderful. The quarters we stayed in has such an amusing history to it. It's got beautiful furniture that are at least 70 years old. The home where Teacher resides is over 170 years old and is a stellar construction. Basil teacher is a generous and thoughtful host. We had informed her that one of us has an ankle injury, and coincidentally or not, we found an ice pack in the refrigerator. The kichenette has everything you need. Despite it, she'll happily offer coffee in the morning. The breakfast is heavenly. Special thanks to Shyamala chechi as well, who is the helper. Teacher will also tell you a bit of local history which is very interesting. In all, it was a wonderful and peaceful stay for us.

We enjoyed our stay as the place and the surrounding was really beautiful, away from the noise and busy places. The Host's Grandma was very helpful and arranged everything for us, as she was very responsive and ready to help whenever needed. Chris was clear with the instructions and helped us get there when approached about the location. Just the best place to relax and enjoy the cool weather and scenic beauty. Worth visiting again.

Jerin was an excellent host and was helpful throughout our stay. We were provided with 2 bedrooms with attached bathooms. He provided good food and helped us with local transport to station and back. The rooms were basic but comfortable. There was no washing machine but a person was there to help hand wash the clothes. Bathrooms could have had better fittings but one cannot complain as the proximity to the beach meant any fitting would rust due to the salty sea air. The house is a 2 minute walk from the beach. The beach itself was spectacular, with hardly any debris. The waters were calm and clean. If you go in the early morning you can see the fishermen bring in their catch. We had a lovely trip and must once again thank Jerin for his hospitality.

I had a very good stay here – the place is easily accessible and truly feels like a home away from home. The host was incredibly supportive and helpful throughout my stay, making everything smooth and comfortable. I’ll definitely choose this place again on my next visit.

Private peaceful and blissful stay.

The home was very well kept and right opposite the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Went with 7 of our friends. Had a great evening and we all enjoyed the stay. Clean toilets and very spacious.

A nice place to stay in Auroville. Surrounded by trees and it is peaceful. Property has a swimming pool and open sitting area as well.

I needed a place close to the metro for commute , what better place than Dikshas place for the same. The place is clean & was cute ; looked like what it was in the photos. Flower & fruit markets extremely close by to the place. Comfortable , clean & cosy place. Thanks for hosting .

Good place near temple

Regarding the place - This place offers travelers a unique and immersive experience by allowing them to stay in a local's home rather than a traditional hotel. This place was perfect for our weekend getaway. The host provided excellent tips on local eateries and attractions. There were many such places nearby which ppl have access to from this place. As a whole this place was amazing and I recommend everyone who is travelling to Kodaikanal to stay at this place for a peaceful home like environment. Regarding the host - Communication was seamless! The host was responsive and considerate, ensuring our stay was comfortable from start to finish. Maintanence of the environment was top notch. The host has done an incredible job preserving its character while offering modern conveniences. thank you Daise for your hospitality and kindness. we would always recommend your place to ppl travelling to Kodaikanal.

We had a great experience staying here! The host was super friendly and accommodating— Rohini allowed us an early morning check-in since the room was unoccupied, which we really appreciated. The co-host even woke up early to greet us, which was such a thoughtful touch. The room and bathroom were spotless, and everything—from the bedsheets and blankets to the amenities—was clean and well-prepared. The AC worked perfectly, and the room had good ventilation, making our stay very comfortable. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, and we had complete privacy throughout our stay. Location-wise, it was perfect—right in the center of Bengaluru, with easy access to everything we needed. The room was well-equipped with everything you'd need for a comfortable visit. Overall, it was a pleasant and cozy stay, and we’d definitely consider coming back in the future!

I’ve stayed at many Airbnbs before, but none have felt as homely as this one. It truly felt like staying at a friends or relative's place. Reji, the owner and host, is incredibly proactive and friendly. He even arranged a jeep for us to visit four stunning viewpoints and it was very affordable. The property itself is beautiful, surrounded by lush trees and the sounds of birds. Overall, we had a very pleasant and memorable experience. Highly recommended!
