Monthly Rentals in Takase River

An impeccable home in a darling neighborhood walkable to shops and restaurants yet far enough from touristy areas to feel the charm of Kyoto. We loved it and highly recommend this spot! It’s one of my all time favorite vacation homes! Karen was quick to respond and lovely. The house is on the channel which is being renovated and it’s beautiful as well as an easy guide walking home. It’s hard to get lost. The spacious rooms offered either a western or a futon sleeping option. The main bathroom was exquisite with a soaking tub and shower option. AC worked great. For two of our nights we had 3 couples and it felt like plenty of room for quiet time after walking miles.

great location in a quiet area, convenient both for means and for visiting nearby. Lots of restaurants and post dinner nearby. Clean and spacious room. The washing machine and kitchenette are available (all very comfortable).

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful machiya so much. Perfectly located and within walkable distance of nearly everything you need. For 2 guests this home offers plenty of space, just mind your head if you're tall. The small garden is very calming. We do recommend it and will book again.

What a beautiful place, which is also perfectly located away from the hustle and bustle but walking distance / quick subway ride to everywhere you want to go!
