The home and location are great, but the hosts are what make this place. They go above and beyond to make your stay special.

I was planning on my proposal and wanted somewhere special. The window house was exactly that. Private, peaceful, super clean, amazing views and wildlife. Taylor and Marla were EXTREMELY good at communicating and getting back in a timely manner. If you and your significant other are looking to get away, this is the place. It’s sublime.

Beautiful house with all the necessities and a great view! Big hot tub and great sledding hill. Chris was very responsive and check in was easy. The driveway was difficult in March. Snow tires or AWD is necessary to get all the way up to the house, but multiple pull offs means you can at least park and carry things up. Absolutely worth it though! Can’t beat this house—close to Stratton and plenty of room for a big ski get away.

We had a great time celebrating my husband’s 40th birthday with a weekend trip to Wilmington. Erika and Casey’s place was perfect for the 8 of us. They accommodated an early check in, which allowed us to beat the rain driving there. We arrived to the sweetest welcome basket- such a nice touch. It was a rainy weekend (because that is all we get in New England these days!) so it was so nice to have so much space at the house. We loved the hot tub, fire pit, and yard games when the rain held off. The kitchen was perfect for cooking dinners for the whole group. Plenty of pots and pans, etc. There is a small Shaw’s down the street for groceries we forgot. We didn’t bring any little ones but the top floor would be so much fun for kids! (But the adults did utilize the Nerf guns throughout the weekend!) Highly recommend the local restaurants and stores, and checking out the Brattleboro Farmers Market if you have a sunny Saturday morning!

Absolutely loved our stay! The house was spacious, clean, and incredibly well -stocked with everything we needed. The sauna and hot tub were a perfect touch for relaxation, and there were plenty of fresh linens and towels for everyone. Highly recommend- would definitely stay again!

Great stay- so nice to be so close to okemo which made skiing really seamless. The house matched the pics perfectly. Kids had a good bunk room and the 3 adult couples all had their own rooms with en suite bathrooms. The hot tub on the upper deck was a nice bonus. Easy in and out, and Nicholas was very easy to communicate with. We had one minor hiccup with the fridge but Nicholas was responsive and accommodating. Thanks for the great weekend away.

We spent Memorial Weekend here with a big group, and it was perfect. There was more than enough space for a huge party, yet the location was peaceful and private. Everything was spotless when we arrived, and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. All the amenities worked perfectly, making our stay super comfortable. Highly recommend for large gatherings or a relaxing getaway.

Excellent location right on the mountain. Short drive to great food, hikes, and action sports.

Good place to stay. Location quite convenient, with ski back trail. However experienced skier would want to drive or take a bus to K-1 lounge.

Spent a beautiful weekend at this cottage. The property is beautiful. Lovely to hear the birds and view the gardens. It rained most of our trip but we didn’t mind because it was so restorative to hunker down and relax here. Well stocked kitchen. Nice bedding. Close to Brattleboro and easy access to hiking/farms etc. Kathleen was the perfect amount available. We’re sorry we didn’t get to meet you in person!

Courtney was super responsive, as well as proactive in communicating everything we needed to know about the A frame. All instructions were clear and concise. Everything worked as expected, and it was the most beautiful little place tucked away in the trees, but still drivable to everything locally. Definitely recommend staying here!

5 out of 5 stars. Used this as an opportunity to get away with my pregnant wife, and we were not disappointed. In fact, we wished that we had booked at least another night or two! The pictures for the listing were great, but we felt the cabin looked even better in person. It was clean, homey, and had everything you needed for a usable kitchen. Lasse’s detailed amenities listing and clear directions in the cabin (like how to properly use the hot tub) far exceeded our expectations. I don’t have one negative thing to say. We are already planning to book for next summer!

So much fun!! The airstream was super cool/relaxing and the animals were so adorable. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

The cabin was lovely! We went for a little weekend getaway with some friends and it is a great space for such an occasion. There is a surprising amount of space in and around the house and we didn't even use the three season porch. The hosts were also very responsive and easy to communicate with. Definitely a cute little home away from home!

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. The views from the home and the surrounding area were amazing and we found ourselves just slowing down a lot on our drive there to take it all in. Our favorite parts were the hot tub which was so relaxing especially with the backdrop of nature behind us and the amazing kitchen where we cooked all of our meals each day. Most things were around 20 minutes out so it was a very stay at home stay so we really appreciated the effort they made at making the home the main attraction. The host was very communicate and helped solve a minor issue we had right away which was a great experience. Our least favorite part was having to leave! Overall we look forward to coming back again in the future to such a cozy home.

We had a wonderful stay! It's such a beautiful and unusual cabin. It would be great for two couples as there are 2 equally great bedrooms that are quite separate, and a very nice sitting area around the amazing wood stove. (Which we didn't use because it's June and not necessary.) The hot tub was such a treat, and the bedroom with the boat was so cool. (OK, so maybe the bedrooms aren't quite equally great.) The kitchen is outstanding! We sat out on the porch a lot looking over the meadow, and I really liked that we were able to bring our dog. About the notes and instructions: they didn't bother us at all. There's a few non-intuitive features of the cabin, and it was useful to have clear guidance on those things. I want to make clear why I gave 4 stars for "cleanliness". I think they do an excellent job cleaning this cabin! But a rustic cabin like this is impossible to make "5-star clean". If you want or need that level of cleanliness, then "rustic" isn't for you! Go find a nice hotel.

John was an amazing host. Everything was like the pictures. He had binders with things to do around the area, which was amazing. He had trail maps and board games. The sauna and hot tub were both great and well maintained. Would definitely recommend for any family for a relaxing time. The loft was a nice little hiding spot. Plus it was only a 12 minute drive to Jamaica State Park with amazing views and right down the street from Stratton Mountain. I will definitely be booking this again!!!! It was an absolutely amazing weekend with an absolutely huge outdoor fire pit for the whole family!! The kitchen has everything you need just bring food. Towels and sheets are included as well and an absolutely beautiful view from the dining room table!!
