Beautifully appointed house with lots of attention to detail. But we have come all needing a boot room !! Very comfortable beds, and spacious bathrooms, well equipped kitchen. Garden is not secure so recommend bringing a flexi lead with you. Recommend Ballater for shopping, particularly the bakery excellent cakes and savories' , and the butchers for haggis. We visited the Art Gallery as recommended by Sonia and the very friendly staff recommended the Fife Arms in Braemore for lunch - completely agree, worth a visit.

The Coothie Coo Shed was a perfect, peaceful and beautifully located cottage. Everything was immaculate and practical. There were some lovely considered touches which made us feel so comfortable. Homely, cosy and just the perfect solitude for us for three nights. Thank you Winfried for renovating and creating such a lovely space amidst the best hills in Scotland!

The place was very clean. Area around is naturally beautiful about 10 mins from Alford (nearest town). Frances was very responsive and friendly.

We had a lovely stay over Easter weekend. Plenty of space and wonderful clean and spacious accommodation. Ideal location for stunning hikes in the area!
