The shelter at Näldsjön

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful little cottage. Here you live right next to the lake below our farm with the cows grazing outside the knot. Access to both sauna and barbecue area, and canoe for those who want to take a paddle trip out on the lake. Note: No running water in the cabin, thus no bathroom. Water can be found in cans in cabin. Newly built outdoor toilet overlooking the lake and mountains! Hot plate, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, TV, etc., available to use. Warm welcome!🌞

Our modern log house is situated right on a lakeshore. The open-concept design with lots of wood and light creates a warm, friendly atmosphere. On 85m2 you'll find panoramic windows with a fantastic view on the lake, a soap stone fireplace, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Enjoy fishing, paddling, swimming, hiking and x-country skiing right in front of your doorstep! Our neighbouring little farm with our kids, three sled dogs, three cats, a garden and chickens can induce a farm holiday experience.

Peaceful tent site by the river with your own jetty

Something happens to us when we take the time to just be. To live the little primitive life for a while without having to thumb on all the comforts. To let go of everyday life, put down the cell phone and let yourself be spoiled by what is around. Light a fire, paddle a canoe, look out over the water's edge from the edge of the bed, where even the beavers can swim by sometimes, brew coffee and cook over an open fire. Cozy loft apartment on top of our garage. Here you live in a quiet environment close to nature and Storsjön, while being only 5 km from central Östersund. Here you can enjoy lovely summer days down by the lake and swim at the public jetty. In winter, you can skate and ski on the ice or ice fish. There are walking and cycling paths into town and buses stop nearby. Cat and dog are on the property, so if you are allergic or afraid of dogs, unfortunately, this place is not for you.
