Monthly Rentals in Stocking Pelham

Great hosts, very friendly. Very pretty location, we were able to walk in the large garden and enjoy the views. Cottage was very well equipped, fresh milk, bread and eggs left for us, even supplied tea, coffee and cooking condiments. Soaps and washing powder also supplied. Very comfortable beds, all towels supplied. The only let down was the wifi connection which kept dropping even after resetting the router numerous times. Was also not always able to use 4G as the property was quite remote. Otherwise was lovely, highly recommend their property.

David and Leslie are the kindest and most welcoming of hosts. They made me feel at home immediately, and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were very willing to accommodate my requests, and it was lovely to enjoy their hospitality in the garden. Their generosity was evident in the LWH - ensuring there were things for breakfast and a drink (even ice cold water in the fridge) to lovely cosmetics in the bathroom. And the LWH was spotless, beautifully kitted out and the bed was very, very comfortable. I had everything I needed for my short stay, and if I had needed something, I was reassured that all I should do was to ask. The LWH is a great place to stay to explore this part of Essex and is highly recommended. Thank you David and Leslie for all that you did to make my stay a memorable one.

A great short-stay at Lars’ bohemian escape in Buntingford. Well located along the high street, but facing away from the busy road, it was nice and peaceful. The space is decorated with interesting things, and I paged through some of the hundreds of architectural and decor books and magazines. Clean, functional- I’d definitely stay again. Lars as a host was very responsive with communication and the check in process was well explained.

We had a fantastic stay! The location was perfect—quiet, peaceful, and ideal for a relaxing getaway. The house itself was beautiful, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The garden space was especially stunning—massive and well-kept, perfect for enjoying the outdoors. The bedrooms and bathroom were clean, comfortable, and very roomy, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We did have a small issue with the cooktop, but Hannah responded immediately and brought over a replacement we could use for the rest of our stay—super helpful and responsive! The welcome basket was such a thoughtful and appreciated touch. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would absolutely rebook. Highly recommend!
