Giethoorn, also called the Venice of Holland, is in the North West of the province Overijssel in the middle of the nature reserve De Wieden, the area is called Waterreijk. Dwarsgracht is a part of Giethoorn, the most beautiful countryside in the Netherlands with lakes, natural park, beautiful farmhouses and lovely gardens. Our holiday home in Dwarsgracht is surrounded by water and in the middle of the countryside and natural park De Weerribben-Wieden. If you like watersports, nature or to rest and read than this is your holiday place to be! Dwarsgracht is a small fairy-tale village next to Giethoorn, but much more quiet and pieceful. You can walk around and when you like outdoor activities you can rent a bike, a boat or a canoe to see the surroundings and scenery of lovely farmhouses, canals and lakes where you can also swim. Our holiday home Dwarsgracht 39 is a family vacation farmhouse surrounded by water and a big garden with a swing, a playhouse and a slide where children can run around and will have a fantastic time! From the terras you will have a beautiful view over the reed fields and national park where you can see deer, rabbits and birds when you are lucky. In the canals are many ducks and fish. Our holiday home has a lovely livingroom with tv and an electic fireplace. Out of the windows you can see the national park. It has 2 bedrooms for 4 persons and one bathroom.For the young children we also have 2 campingbeds. The kitchen is fully equiped where you can make dinner for your family, but if you rather like to go out for dinner you can find a restaurant across our holiday home or go to Giethoorn or some small towns in the neighbourhood for a nice dinner and night out. Also, there is a 2 Michelin star restaurant in Giethoorn called “De Lindenhof”. You can reach Dwarsgracht by car, by bus (to Giethoorn, 5 kms) or by train (Steenwijk station, 12 kms). Amsterdam is 125 km, Utrecht is 132 kms, Arnhem is 112 kms and Rotterdam/The Hague 190 kms away. We hope to welcome you and show you our Venice of Holland!

Our nature cottage De geluksbrenger is located in Spanga, in the middle of the nature reserve de Rottige Meenthe. Our nature cottage is comfortably furnished, with extras such as a barrel sauna, a cozy pallet stove and a sunshower for that little extra luxury. The atmosphere inside is cozy and completely fits the natural environment. Even if you are less mobile, the cottage is easily accessible. The cottage has underfloor heating and air conditioning in the bedrooms. The cottage is for 4-6 people.

On one of the most beautiful rural roads just outside the village of Sint Jansklooster is the renovated humpback farm from 1667. We have furnished the front house of the farm as an attractive accommodation for 2 guests who are fond of peace and privacy. The comfortably furnished front house has its own entrance. You have access to 2 canoes and a men's and women's bicycle. The many cycling, hiking and canoeing routes allow you to experience the Weerribben-Wieden National Park in all seasons.
