Very nice place in beautiful nature surroundings in the fjord edge. Lovely view. Relaxing. Cozy cabin. Very clean. Helpful hosts. All positive! Would highly recommend!

The host was very friendly and always responded. The cottage was cozy and the jacuzzi already preheated. He was concerned for our well-being. 😊

We really enjoyed our stay at Susannes place in winter. We especially liked the well equipped kitchen (even were able to make waffels and cakes), the jacuzzi and the cozy fireplace with amazing view into the mountains. Susanne was easy reachable and was always really helpful. Would definitely recommend the place. Be aware that it might be difficult to reach the place with snow, but that is the price for nice nature. You can start hikes directly from the place. Also the city was very quite at that time (no problem for us).

great cottage really relaxes nicely

Thanks a million for this incredible stay! Your cottage is an absolute dream – perfectly equipped, cozy and with a stunning view of the water. We could have stayed forever! A special highlight was definitely the hot tub – just awesome! After a day in the impressive nature of Norway, relaxing there was priceless. The surroundings were also an adventure in themselves, we enjoyed every second.

The host is extremly nice. The jaccuzzi is clean and hot. It is very relaxing to stay. Around 40 mins drive to Sirdal for skiing. The shop joker is also close. we had a great time. Definitely will come back 👍

We enjoyed the cottage. Nice and spacious living room and lovely garden. We made cold plum jam, delicious. The cottage was well equipped with all kitchen utensils. Nice mountains and the see close by.

Ulrik was a great host. The place was absolutely amazing, really nice surroundings with a beautiful view. There are good and challenging hiking trails right in the area. The cabin is well equipped with many options for both big and small, but the view is enough to entertain one for a long period of time.

Superb cabin. Beautiful sea views from the deck and a nearby beach and marina for a swim. The huge space would house a whole family or more if needed. Lovely island location with views across the archipelago. Nearby supermarkets in Hjemelandsvagen. Close enough to Lysefjord for Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) hike. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We traveled from Germany by car, a total adventure. The path to the parking lot to the cabin is absolutely pure nature and indescribable. The adventure continued in the fog to the cabin on foot. When we reached the hut and opened the door, we were totally overwhelmed by how beautifully everything was furnished. As the fog dissipated, we could see all the beauty of nature. Simply indescribable, what a location the cabin is in. The tranquility, the proximity to nature - there are no words. We had 9 days, 6 beautiful sunny and warm days with up to 28 degrees. Our dog was totally impressed by the sheep that came by to visit. The cabin and the amenities convinced us 100%. If we had any questions, Anders always assisted us very well. Thanks for letting us enjoy your place. We will be happy to come back.

We had a lovely short week at Vegard's house. Even though we did not meet him, we had very pleasant contact. He is very responsive and friendly and helpful with questions! The house is in a nice quiet place with spacious garden and beautiful location on the water. You even have access to your own private beach and can use a boat and canoes. We had a lot of fun with that! Our dog was also able to have a good time here. You will be staying in a characteristic old house with lots of charm. Also a lot of space and comfort. And as a surprise, we had deer in the garden every now and then. Nearby is the Preikestolen, beautiful walk! And for visiting Stavanger, you are also ideal here. We liked Jørpeland too! In short, plenty to do in the area and around the house. Highly recommend if asking us!

The house is nicely renovated, the old house charm is still present. Gorgious view over the fjord. Check in was easy and we found the house with firewood provided and the oven burning. Sissel helped with more firewood during the week. Sissel welcomed us in person and was a wonderful host throughout our stay.

Really nice stay in a cabin to get away from Stavanger for a weekend. The cabin was clean and tidy, with plenty space for our family of 4 plus our dog. Easy 5 minute walk from the car parking area (albeit, a bit tricky with the wheelbarrow when your son wants to go in it). Well equipped, well maintained and well situated in amongst the trees for a relaxing weekend spending time together. Easy driving distance from Stavanger, just remember to bring your shopping… Jørpeland isn’t too far, but far enough away that you might not want to make the journey too often. Would recommend and may return ourselves!

This cabin was AMAZING. The views are breathtaking. The cabin is modern and spacious with a stocked kitchen. The deck is a great hang out spot. Renting the boats was wonderful. We really enjoyed spending time on the water. Be prepared for a long walk to the cabin from where you park. There are wheelbarrows to help with unloading. We had a great time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful setting with views that surpassed the photos. Well-equipped kitchen and great fireplace.

We stayed with Bjarne and his wife for a week, the place is clean with beautiful views of the fjord and sunset. The two are super lovely people who told and showed us a lot. We got fresh eggs from their chickens and freshly caught crayfish. And were even allowed to use the paddle boat lying on the jetty for free. I would come back anytime and highly recommend it to anyone. Especially if you're looking for peace and quiet.

Lovely stay with room for the whole family. We enjoyed the tranquility of the cabin and the surroundings. You can easily get a whole day to be in the cabin and on the grounds - fishing and fire possible, and the cabin has everything you need. It was easy to communicate with Peter and Eva, they were really friendly and helpful.

Had a great week's vacation. Extremely note from Norway and the cottage. During the stay, there was nice and easy contact with Thomas. Around the house (outside) it was a bit messy and there were a lot of children's toys. There was still enough room to sit down and enjoy. The cottage was on a big slope, once climbed you have an oasis of peace. Very much enjoyed!

We did enjoy staying at the house so much! A group of 5 adults and 2 children felt perfectly comfortable. Children (6 and 8) had a lot of fun with toys and amenities outside! Thank you so much 🙏🏻

We walked into this place very late at night and it was cozy, warm and beautiful. The host had kindly left supplies in the fridge for us, so we weren't trying to find a grocery store at an inconvenient time. Ingvild is one of those rare hosts who seems to have anticipated all the guests needs. There were instructions on how to use everything, there were tips for things to do in the area, and there were ample supplies of basics in the kitchen and laundry room that made things so easy for us. This was a perfect location to feel secluded, but close enough to see the popular tourist sites in the area with a short drive. We looked forward to coming back each afternoon to enjoy the view from this home. The floor to ceiling windows were amazing.
