The house is located on the Saale island of Gottesgnaden. Here the lock keeper lived and worked with his family. Today you can relax here on the 7x4 m terrace, make yourself comfortable in the great kitchen with fireplace, enjoy the river landscape, fishing, standup paddling or chill in the approx. 1000 sqm garden. The house is a single monument and belongs to the lock. The lock is in operation and is maintained and serviced by the Water and Shipping Authority.

Die Anschlußstelle zur A14 ist nur ca. 2km entfernt. Nach Halle zur einen und Magdeburg zur anderen Seite hin fährt man über die Autobahn in weniger als einer halben Stunde.
