Monthly Rentals in Stara Moravica

Mario is an amazing host, he fetched us at the bus station, gave us a lot of tips . His place is pristine, it has everything that you might need. The flat is comfortable, functional, and luminous , it felt like home away from home. The lighting is also very good which is something not always achieved . And the knifes are sharp, another feature not easy to find . Confortable beds, sofas and very good linen. I could done at least another day in Subotica. Mario’s place is 10/10.

My stay of choice when visiting Subotica. Branka was incredibly responsive and helpful — she recommended great places to visit during my stay! The flexible check-in and check-out were also a huge help.

It was great to get back to Cecile’s place. This time it was warm enough to go to the thermal lake. Thermal lakes aren’t always kid friendly. We were comfortable bringing our four kids and there were other guests with children as well at the lake. Cecile’s family was helpful as always. They brought out a ladder and helped the kids get cherries from the tree in the pasture. Cecile added a bunk bed, redid one of the ceilings and added some new windows since our last stay. There is an AC unit but with the thick walls using it isn’t needed even at 32 degrees during the day. We were able to open the windows at night and stayed comfortable. The neighbors are also very nice and friendly. We got in very late and were double checking the address. The neighbor across the street came out to see if we needed any help. The kids enjoyed the ponies and we were happy to see the ponies. Both the kids and ponies enjoyed sharing watermelon.

We got out to the lake outside of Stara Moravica this time. It is worth the trip. I would recommend taking bike due to the distance. The road is dirt but our daughter who just learned to bike at Christmas time has no trouble navigating it. There are lots of birds including nightingale and at least one pair of nesting swans. The girls got to know the neighbor kids this trip and spent most afternoons playing with them. We were able to view an owl in broad daylight in the garden! One evening the owls were particularly talkative at dusk, they seemed to be gathering, there after we didn’t seem them again. It was very exciting to perhaps see them on the evening when they were preparing to return to their summer homes. We had a nice walk through the orchard with Laszlo and were able to introduce ourselves to the farmer who plows the field behind the orchard. The weather was pleasant and it only rained at night, so we enjoyed most meals in the garden. We look forward to returning!
