Although almost 200 years old, it has been mostly modernised inside to give modern conveniences along with retaining charm and character. 2 pub/restaurants in the hamlet serving excellent food. Although situated on the A68, the main road to Edinburgh, the cottage benefits from double glazing throughout and a short walk up the hill at back of cottage to a children's play area.
