Monthly Rentals in Stanford

From booking to checking out this was a pleasure. Mike was informative and communicative. But best of all was the delightful accommodation- so fresh and light, elegant in its stylish simplicity with attention to detail. The kingsize bed was very comfortable, the little open plan kitchen was all we needed, the shower pressure was great and the pops of colour happy-making. We were in Stanford for a wedding weekend and it was a perfect stay over, place to get ready and a welcome ‘home’ to return to in the early morning hours! Just wish we had given ourselves more time to enjoy the mini-courtyard! Bird’s Nest Cottage will definitely be our go-to place next time in Stanford.

Thank you! We had a lovely stay. The home and garden provided ample space for our family of two adults, one child and two dogs. It's a great location, very near the Wandelpad walk along the river and a few minutes' walk to the town centre. Our host Allison was quick to respond and most helpful. Highly recommended!

We fell in love with the village of Stanford and the soul restoring River Home. This beautiful house is right on the river's edge and is a real treat (and retreat) to stay in. Just the place to surrender to nature, listen to the birdsong, rest and restore. We loved walking along the delightful river path. A short walk into the centre of town will bring you to several delightful restaurants. We ate at three of them (for lunch at Madré we enjoyed a really good pork belly with crispy skin and vegetables, at La Trattoria we had a feast of authentic Italian food and Agteros has a menu full of delightful South African dishes done with a modern twist). We also brownsed in some delightful homewear and gift shops. If you prefer eating at home, the kitchen at River House has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. It is spotless, has a great gas hob and electric oven and a dishwasher for cleaning up after.

We had a lovely stay at The Stables! Apart from its interesting history, the cottage is ideally located to explore the town centre and 'Wandelpad' on foot, and provides a good taste of village life from locals passing by the front door. Anne made us feel right at home with some thoughtful touches like a personalised welcome note, fresh fruit, milk in the fridge, and a tasting of locally roasted coffee! Also, by far the best mattress we've slept on in any Airbnb! Thank you Anne!
