Family-friendly vacation rentals in Stanford

Very cozy, well-kept and clean house in the countryside. You only need to bring your own groceries. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with shower. We felt very comfortable. The journey is along a kilometer-long unpaved road. You can reach it without an SUV. However, as in all of SA, an SUV is an advantage. We definitely can recommend the place!

We loved our stay at Hobbit Hollow..it was peaceful and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was the highlight for us

We had such a lovely stay! The space was not only spotless and beautifully maintained, but it also had so many thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. What stood out most was how incredibly child-friendly the place was. There were a dress up box, books, trampoline, play park and best of all - animals that kept our little ones entertained. My kids loved the animal feeding with Chisomo where they could also gather eggs from the chickens. The treasure was also quite enjoyable for both us and the kids :) The garden is so amazing!! France’s place in Stanford was honestly nothing short of magical. The house is exquisite with so many interesting pieces and souvenirs. The garden is huge and perfect for our dogs. The wood fire hot tub was a huge highlight too! The place is so well located, 5 minutes walking distance to the main road and 2 minutes walking distance to the Wandelpad walking trail along the river. We were unfortunately only there for 2 nights which was not long enough! We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely time staying in the house. It felt like a home away from home. Everything was super neat, tidy and clean. Very clear instructions. The host and the housekeeper are super friendly and constantly checked in. The house has everything you need and more. The view from the patio and living room is spectacular. Would most definitely book again.

Staying at Pashasha’s was a really great experience!! The house flowed and the main bedroom is wayyy bigger than it looks ! I loved that the braai area and hot tub was nestled away for privacy . If we weren’t chilling by the braai we were on the front or back porch or even around the dining table playing games. Everyone had a fun and relaxing time ! Thanks Richard !

Our family of 5 had a very relaxing and peaceful 3 night stay, very little cellphone reception (great!!) which meant no distractions from family time. The little farmhouse is a bit dated but the peacefulness of the whole experience more than made up for this. The wood fired hot tub was a winner and kept the kids entertained. The hosts are fantastic, quick to respond, deliver wood, and help where needed. Thank you so much to Kevin and Nats!

Great little cottage in Greyton. It has everything you need for a stay. Very quiet. Nice fireplace for cold nights. Area is very walkable and has many nice restaurants and shops.

We really enjoyed staying in this house. There were a few challenges during our stay, but the host was very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. Welcome wine was a nice touch!

The home was lovely, beautifully done and very modern. Our family felt right at home.

Esther is a gracious host, very hospitable and helpful, and the apartment is very nicely situated, a short walk to the Cliff Path, beaches, and amenities. We felt comfortable and safe, and enjoyed all the conveniences, including a "braai" outside om the patio and a washing machine in the garage :-) Were we to return to Hermanus in the future, we would definitely like to stay there again!

A lovely, spacious family holiday home. The open plan upstairs area was great to hang out and spend quality time together as a group, indoors and on the deck. Plenty of bedroom space for everyone. A great kitchen with all necessary items, and a fireplace. Proximity to the beach and the boardwalk for some outdoor time, couldn’t be better. Appreciated the flexible check out offered by Rita.

We had a lovely and peaceful family breakaway. The tents have all you need to make your stay comfy while still giving a camping feel.

We spent 3 blissful days Ilah's place. An idyllic location with stunning views of the ocean and the mountain. The house was well maintained and very well equipped. Ilah was responsive and accommodating when we needed to change dates. We do not hesitate in recommending Ilah's place, if you are looking for peace, beauty, ease and a homey feeling.

We had a lovely few days in this apartment, views were spectacular and the living space was great for spending time watching the whales. Would recommend to anyone visiting Hermanus. 2 min away from lovely restaurants.

From the moment we arrived, the host was incredibly friendly and supportive, making us feel right at home without being intrusive. The apartment exceeded all our expectations—far more than what was listed and described! Surrounded by grazing sheep, playful otters, and charming chickens, it felt like a peaceful retreat. Yet, we were pleasantly surprised to find all the modern gadgets you could expect in a big city home, from a smart TV to an air fryer. The paraffin lamp added such a lovely, cozy touch to our evenings. We were genuinely sad to leave this little slice of paradise. If you’re looking for a unique and comfortable getaway, this is the perfect spot!

Beautiful garden & peaceful home, with loads of space & cosy

Katherine's place is a gem, absolutely beautiful little home away from home. It had everything that we needed and more. Katherine and Jacques were wonderful hosts, always responsive, friendly and helpful. Couldn't recommend this place more highly!

Sandra was very friendly, professional and helpful and was very accommodating with our check in when our plans changed last minute. The unit was exactly as shown in the photos. Everything was new & well decorated. Everything we needed was in the unit, right down to having adapter plugs for charging in the bedrooms. The view of the ocean from the balcony was stunning! We really felt like we were home away from home. We would definitely recommend this unit and Sandra as a host! Thanks for sharing your unit with us Sandra, we had a great stay! :-)

Sarita’s place is perfectly situated — away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet conveniently close to town. It’s a charming tiny home with everything thoughtfully arranged. We especially loved the beautifully designed bathroom, and having access to Netflix was a great bonus.

Thank you to Hloni and Chane for making the stay in Hermanus a wonderful and memorable one. The apartment was great, modern and caters for all you needs amd more. The service provided by Chane was great. The views of the bay from the balcony was a highlight and will be remembered. I will definitely be booking again. Thanks. Wayne.

I had an amazing stay, very peaceful and quite right next to the ocean! I watched whales and swim by and a pod of hundreds of dolphins come past everyday for three days! - Another highlight was Max, the very friendly golden retriever that lives on the property infront!
