The house was absolutely incredible and excellent value for money. It was in stunning surroundings, the hot tub was amazing and the exclusive booking system for use of the pool was a lovely addition. The house was spotless and full of character and the private garden was also wonderful. The beds were really comfortable and there was just the right balance of charm, space and comfort. We definitely struck gold when booking this gem. Thanks so much for all of your support in making this a trip to remember!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The space is great and as an extra bonus, you get to use a heated pool and brilliant games room. We went early Jan and there was loads of snow, as well as pretty cold temperatures, but the house warmed up very quickly and we were always more than comfortable. The property is close enough to Bakewell for a short drive or taxi ride, should you want to venture into town. We're thinking about going back in the summer.

We had a great stay - the house is peaceful, quiet, clean, and especially cosy with the woodburner on! Richard and Jo were excellent hosts, very friendly and accommodating, and offered great advice on places to visit nearby with our two small children. We all slept amazingly well (very unusual with a 1 and 3 year old); the beds were comfy and it was so quiet. The house is well set up for visiting with toddlers - there are toys, books, stair gates etc. and the large garden is great to let them run around in. We would absolutely return, especially in the summer to really make use of the beautiful garden.

Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.

I came here for my 23rd birthday with my friends as we wanted a chill Christmas atmosphere and we got exactly that! The owners were very kind a friendly and went over and above for us! The only negative is that there is nothing around and if you want to walk to a pub, restaurants or shops it’s either a 1hour+ or a deep dive walk in a forest or field… this was difficult as we had 6 people and one car. But I everything was amazing we will be coming back again!

This place is GORGEOUS!! The pictures really don't do it justice. The open plan kitchen/dining/lounge was perfect for a girly weekend. I love that each double room had its own ensuite.

This fabulous house gave us everything we needed for our short stay with a large family group. Everyone had their own space but there was plenty of space to come together too. The large lounge provided a wonderful relaxing spot with the gorgeous fire and the huge dining area was perfect for eating and playing games. With such a large group and with us coming together from all over the country, the proximity to the train station was perfect.

The house was perfect for our weekend stay and had everything that we needed. We used all three bedrooms but the one with a double bed is very small and you can only get out of the bed on one side. We ended up swapping around a bit for our second night. Our hosts, Marlena and her husband were brilliant and really quick to respond when we had a problem with the bedroom door and the tv. I would recommend this house to anyone needing to stay in Nottingham (and the shower was really good).

As we walked in we felt a serene peace. Which extended to our sleep. Everyone slept like babies. The water just the right temperature and flow. We loved the kitchen and the sitting area. Bedding was really clean. We have agreed every time we are in Derby we will stay here. The host ever so responsive and friendly. We felt right at home.Peace is the key word so quiet and serene. Crockery upto scratch , we loved the big fridge. We were so glad we found a supermarket and food outlets really near by. Welldone and thank you for being a GREAT HOST

Everything as described in the add and very helpful when requested late check out. Would 100% stay again would of booked the week after if was available but unfortunately was fully booked

Great house for a group of friends, lots of space and almost everyone had their own bathroom. Hosts very responsive and helpful!

Excellent place for a big family or group of people to stay. Spacious place with all amenities that are needed. Recommended for future.

Lynley and Matt’s place accommodated a large family of 7, 2 children and 3 dogs perfectly! Lots of space, big spacious rooms, private and secure garden and big driveway! We came to stay due to a family funeral and wanting a hub to base ourselves but also accommodate seeing family and spending time together. The place is very well thought out, clean, spacious and perfect for a family get away. Lynley and Matt are super responsive hosts, really understanding of our situation and very accommodating. Definitely recommend this place!

A lovely stay here, a gorgeous house with plenty of space inside and a big garden perfect for playing in with the kids! There was even a badminton net set up ready! We loved the nice big deep bath and loved that there was a fab coffee machine with fresh beans in. We also appreciated that there were plenty of soft blankets for us to use, they came in handy when sitting out in the garden at this time of year! The house was always lovely and warm and was well stocked with the essentials, like washing up liquid and loads of plates, glasses and utensils. Couldn’t fault it at all!!

James was a very good and responsive host. Communication, directions etc. were spot on! The house was great. There were 6 of us in total - all adults. We did have a problem with a blocked toilet but James had this fixed quickly. There are 3 toilets in total so not a big problem. One star lost on cleanliness rating. On arrival there were crumbs across the dining table and a tea cup stain which we wiped away. Also, could have done with a towel in the downstairs bathroom. We also only had 1 tea towel which was done very quickly. We borrowed from family. Also, a lack of extra pillows meant we had to borrow cushions from the sofas. All very minor problems. I still felt it was value for money and would certainly book again next time we visit family in Nottingham

Amazing stay, yet again. Second time coming and already planning the third. Amazing house and staff. The animals are such an amazing bonus which all kids loved. Vic was amazing with the egg collecting and the feeding of animals. The house was super clean and along with all the facilities they had to offer. Our big family really enjoyed their stay and we all can't wait to go again. Thank you Vic

The house was just the right place for a family weekend. Everything was clean and well organised. There's a lovely little park a minute away for younger children and shops were conveniently close. Our host was helpful and the living and dining areas were comfortable and cosy. There's plenty of space for everyone - would definitely recommend.
