Cottage vacation rentals in St Andrews

We rented Ladywell Lodge with the Doocot for a large family holiday. Though the cottage is up in the hills, it was very quick to get to major routes. The lodge was perfect for the two couples who stayed there. It is tucked away in its own large outdoor space with woods and hill walks just moments away. It was comfortable and clean with everything as described. The kitchen was well laid out and the sitting room really cosy. The hosts were great too - Sandra is really responsive and we found the flexible check in really good. It was perfect for our family and being able to pair renting this with the Doocot meant we had a brilliant space for lots of people to stay. My husband and I would love to go back and would happily rent the lodge again as it was so comfortable in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend.

The cottage in Lower Largo, with it's pristine interior, was an ideal base to explore the stunning Fife coast; from the busy tourist hub of St Andrews to the quieter Crail and Elie. Excellent trip and Claudine was extremely helpful in all her communication. Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning at some point in the future.

Ellen had great communication and made sure that everything was in place for our trip as we were catering a Christmas dinner cooked by chef. The ample furniture was such a bonus and it was very comfortable. The location is stunning so much so that whilst on my stay there I decided to put in an offer on a property around the corner to live out my retirement there!!!!! This garden apartment was so beautiful and private. Very clean and the bed was super comfortable. It was an excellent area within walking distance to the city, and to the woodland. Would recommend this stay.

Had a really lovely stay at Steven’s place in St Monans. A really cozy little spot and the proximity to the tidal pool is a huge plus. Easy to access, ample parking, we had a special time in a really serene spot. The house was great as a base to explore from and the giddy gannet across the road is excellent for breakfast and coffee. It’s perhaps the quietest of those few towns stretching along the coast, but if you’re looking for a comfortable and peaceful getaway, it’s a great house. Well appointed and cared for. Just be careful on the steep stairs! Thanks for sharing it with us.

We stayed for 4 days with our 13 month old. The accommodation was clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The house was clean and had a range of cleaning facilities too. It was our first time in Pittenweem but won’t be our last. Cottage is located only 10 mins from the harbour and a 25 min walk to Anstruther. Kirsten was really helpful with messages and provided us with a high chair and travel cot for our son. Cannot recommend this enough and we plan to come back later in the year! What a treat it was to stay at your charming cottage home in a very posh neighborhood. Quiet and peaceful with lovely accommodations. Every detail, from the light fixtures to the amazingly comfortable beds to the state-of-the-art shower, reflected a very thoughtful host. After walking up and down fairways, greens, and climbing in and out of bunkers all day, it was wonderful to come back to Petra’s place and know I’d be able to rest, relax, and recharge for the next day’s golf. Petra was never intrusive on our privacy but yet very responsive to our requests. Overall, 11 out of 10 stars!!! I can’t wait for my next trip to St. Andrews so that I can revisit Petra’s lovely oasis. Do yourself a favor and book this place for your next trip. You won’t regret it for one moment. Our stay lived up to high expectations. Ainslie went over and above with decorations for my boyfriend’s birthday; welcome notes; homemade cake; fizz and ice in the fridge. She was warm and welcoming, and we felt completely relaxed. So grateful for such a lovely stay in a beautiful area. We will definitely be back! Thank you Ainslie 🥰🤩🥳

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars! Excellent home in a really peaceful beautiful location. It was easy to find and no issues entering the property. Stunning old house which clearly has a lot of history. The home was well presented and we found it comfortable. All the instructions were clear. The hot tub was excellent and the kids loved it. So peaceful at night. Only a 10 min drive into Alyth where there is a couple of shops, but many many lovely walks about ideal for dogs. The wifi was a bit hit and miss we struggled watching tv as it kept freezing with no signal. However given the rural location this is excepted and didn’t bother us too much. AGA cooker was great a real experience and I’m sure in the winter it’s beautiful and warm. Overall we would recommend the property, my only room for improvement would be looking into the WiFi and potentially adding a better dining table and chairs outside. It would have been lovely to dine outside on some more comfort chairs and better seating. Still 5 stars!

Murray's place was warm comfortable and a delight to stay in. It was well appointed and beautifuly clean. To be strongly recommended.

The Arches was a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable space which allowed us to really relax and switch off. We particularly liked the hot tub and, due to the amazing weather while we were there, we even got to sit in the private courtyard and eat breakfast outdoors. The property has everything you could need. Good kitchen and comfy sofa in the living room. The bed is very comfortable and huge! Fab shower and bath set up. We enjoyed a walk up the hill where the views were stunning. Would recommend this walk. We went into Cupar for lunch one day and ate in the Boudingait which was very tasty food. Would recommend. We would definitely return to The Arches. We’ve been to a lot of AirBnB properties and this is up there with the best we’ve been to. Thank you!

The cottage was gorgeously idyllic and private. The cottage itself was super well appointed and comfortable. The exterior was landscaped beautifully and the views were breathtaking. We got engaged during our visit because my fiancé was moved to propose due to the perfect setting. We will return if we are back in the area.

Myself and 2 friends just had a brilliant weekend at Dawn and Darren’s cottage. They were very friendly and welcoming hosts. The cottage was perfect for what we needed, the decor was lovely and we’ll definitely be back for another stay. Hopefully later this year! Thank you Dawn and Darren.

Property was ideally located for quietness. Garden was safe and secure for the dogs. Everything we needed was provided and any queries were answered quickly.

We had a wonderful stay with my family at this historic cottage. Especially loved the easy access to the Fife Coastal Path that we walked daily into Burntisland or Aberdour. Excellent hosts as well. Thank you for your hospitality, we would highly recommend this property!

Blairgowrie is a great spot for visiting the region, and Laura’s cottage is a real gem. It’s so pretty and gorgeously furnished. The table in the kitchen had been set prior to our arrival, and there were eggs, milk, butter, bread and preserves left out for us. Not to mention chocolates in the bedrooms. The views from the bedroom windows are stunning. Would highly recommend.

Cute place, small but perfect for a few days away. Everything has been cleverly thought of to fit a tiny space. It’s a great location too but you do need to book if you want to eat at the pub as it is very busy!

This location was phenomenal to walk about the city. The host was incredibly kind leading up to and throughout our stay.

Wonderful cottage and great hosts. Perfect base for exploring Fife and the local golf courses. Very well equipped kitchen, we both felt very at home in the comfy lounge.

Ideally placed next to beach on quiet street the cottage was ideal. Beds were comfy and cottage very clean.

Wow!! What a wonderful home with amazing hosts!! Rona and Bryan met us when we checked in, helped with our bags and even stocked food and drink in the kitchen for us. They left a book of clear instructions for the house and the area that was very helpful. The home was immaculately clean and decorated with wonderful local Scottish items. The beds we slept on were very comfortable. The area is quiet and private, and very welcoming. I can't say enough good things about this place! Thank you Rona and Bryan for everything! Charming cottage with large bedrooms and well-appointed kitchen just a few minutes’ walk away from the busiest streets of St Andrews. Lovely garden too. Wifi worked well. Very well heated. Spotless house. Lots of parking on the street. Also more spaces in the parking lot half a minute’s walk away. Arlene is very friendly and so helpful, and she definitely went the extra mile in helping us. 🥹

A lovely little cottage in an excellent location - really close to the beach. Very relaxing and well equipped and comfortable. Rhona was really nice and helpful. Thanks for the biscuits and drinks too they were a nice touch. We would definitely like to come back at some point.
