Cottage vacation rentals in Fife

We walked in the property in awe..!! What an amazing place “house on the hill” is. My wife and I couldn’t stop looking out at the view even at night time when it was dark. Under floor heating and a log fire certainly keeps you cozy throughout your stay. We had a bath on both nights together and we could sit side by side it’s that big and take in the view of the stars and planets. That was a first for both of us..!!! The bed is that comfy my wife had decided we need one exactly like it and the same size, which I’ve agreed too. We took in a day in Elie, Pitwimmen, St Monans & Anstruther. We had breakfast at the Pavillion and meal at Ship Inn. Both places were lovely and great food. We haven’t had the luxury like this before so we are going to book again for next year. Lovely cottage, gorgeous scenery and so quiet and peaceful!

We were looking for a total peaceful break, clear instructions on how to use amenities, hot tub was really clean and really warm so enjoyed hours relaxing in it! Thank you Ainslie ❤️

The house was very homely and had all required amenities plus some extras such as cleaning products, toilet paper and some kitchen essentials. The grounds are beautiful and so peaceful and we all felt right at home. The hot tub was a great addition. Just wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Very well designed cottage making the best possible use of quite a small space - with both a shower room and bathroom , utility room as well as kitchen/living space and the patio with hot tub. Although near to the High Street with a range of takeaways and a superb butcher (Hunters) the cottage is in a very quiet street. The nearby Curate Wynd free car park was very handy and we could unload from there. Although Dawn and Darren were away Dawn was on hand to answer any queries. We had a great three day break - spending the days at the RSPB Nature Reserve in stunning weather. We ate out one night at the Balgedie Toll Tavern - highly recommended for great food and very good service.

From the decoration to the location , Katrina's cottage is beautiful. it was so clean which was fantastic too. The hot tub was so relaxing with the view adding to the experience.. the privacy screens were very thoughtful too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return

The cottage was just as described and set in a beautiful location with wonderful views out to sea, just a 5 minute drive to the centre of St Andrews. Super clean and a lovely welcome basket for a dog (even though we didn't have one), only downside was no welcome basket for the humans! If you're coming to stay and wany to experience local places to eat I would recommend booking in advance.

Lovely one night stay at Weavers Cottage. Stay was exactly as described and it being right on the beach was great for us as we visited with our dog, who enjoyed the early morning walk in particular. Peaceful location and all amenities as described. Nice touch that we had milk from Caron for a brew when we arrived. Good instructions were given from Caron and the cottage was lovely, warm and cosy inside. Should we ever be in that neck of the woods we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. We had a great time at Libby’s. We used this location as a central landing place after exploring around St Andrew’s, Stirling, Falkirk, Culross. We felt well taken care of and appropriately checked in on. It was a very cosy stay!

This relaxing, comfortable, and peaceful place was just what weary travelers needed! Natalie was warm and welcoming, and the apartment was super conveniently located in the village. We enjoyed eating at the Crail Harbor Gallery, wandering the village and seaside, and then coming home to sit by the wood stove.

Beautifully quaint bolthole! The Cupboard is a utterly lovely place in Elie, literal stonesthrow from the beach, where our dog and us had a magical time. Tiny but expertly laid out, and efficiently uses the space so you feel super at home. We love it and will defo be back

We had a super stay at Wemyss Estate. We felt very much at home, & enjoyed the local walks on the Estate and Fife Coastal Path, & further afield.

We had a wonderful sunny week in Fife walking the coastal path and returning by bus - nearly no car needed. Lovely cottage with a sun facing seaside road side table to have breakfast or cocktails or both while enjoying views across the Firth of Forth over to Bass rock. Watching gannets diving for and the local heron stalking fish and eider ducks paddling about was a favourite afternoon past time. Nice wee flexible cottage.

We had a perfect family stay at this charming 2-bedroom countryside cottage! The setting was peaceful and picturesque, with plenty of space for the kids and our dogs to run around. The cottage was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The dog-friendly touches made it even more special—fenced garden, nearby walking trails, and thoughtful amenities. A true home away from home. We’ll definitely be back!

Spent a lovely couple of days at the cottage with our family - myself , husband and 2 children ages 7 and 11 over the Easter holidays . The place was fantastic , furnished to a high standard , clean and had everything we needed for a cosy stay. Rooms were much larger than we anticipated with very comfy beds - We loved the wood burn stove to sit round at night and appreciated all the little touches likes tea, coffee etc and selection of books and games. Host was in touch prior to the stay and the whole booking was seamless and helpful. Only thing we felt could be improved was the shower - the water pressure was very low. A wonderful stay - we would Stay again and recommend to others a great central base for exploring St Andrews and the costal side of Fife with everything within 10-15 min drive .

Cottage is in a great location with easy walk to town centre, swingpark and harbour. Kitchen/sitting area is great for having everyone in one area and the garden is lovely. The cottage was well stocked with everything you could need from kitchen equipment and outdoor items including badminton rackets and football (oh and a wee dog bed I found in hall cupboard). Beds were comfy and the rooms had great blackout blinds (which are sometimes lacking in other places). Would definitely use again and recommend to families.

Charming cottage with large bedrooms and well-appointed kitchen just a few minutes’ walk away from the busiest streets of St Andrews. Lovely garden too. Wifi worked well. Very well heated. Spotless house. Lots of parking on the street. Also more spaces in the parking lot half a minute’s walk away. Arlene is very friendly and so helpful, and she definitely went the extra mile in helping us. 🥹

We stayed in multiple locations during our trip around Scotland and this was by far our favorite. Clean, welcoming, and picturesque are only a few words to describe this fairytale location. It is rural which is a wonderful way to be apart of the Scottish country side. We would live there if allowed. Gorgeous!!! Thank you again!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying here for 3 nights for my partners birthday and can honestly say we enjoyed every single minute. From meeting with Nick the host at check in he was friendly informative and welcoming. To the amazing scenery and amnesties with the beautiful animals. The quality of duvets, towels and bed sheets were amazing! We felt so cozy,comfortable and at home throughout our full stay. A fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. Cozy living room with smart tv was a great addition. Beds were extremely comfortable and curtains were black out so a great night sleep was had. Shower was great pressure and beautiful aaran aromatics body wash shampoo ect all supplied. Spotlessly clean property throughout. We can’t fault our stay at all and cannot wait to return! Loved our stay here. Shona was the perfect host, very responsive and thoughtful. The cottage is so warm and cosy, it had everything we needed. The view onto the beach is wonderful and it’s just a stones throw from the brilliant Ship Inn. Elie itself is very pretty and with all the little fishing villages nearby to visit too, it makes for a fabulous base. I’ll definitely be back!
