Our stay at this tiny house was perfect. The cabin matches the description in every way. The view is beautiful, the pool is heated, and the place is absolutely superb. Dana is very responsive to messages, and does everything to make sure the stay goes smoothly, making herself available. He gave us all the directions as soon as we arrived. Pana came to bring us our dinner, and lit the wood burner to get warm. The next day she came to bring us breakfast at the time we wanted. They've been great hosts. This was one of our most beautiful homes Thank you, I hope to be able to come back someday. 🫶🏻

Our stay at the Treehouse in Ella was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The place is made entirely of wood and gives you that authentic treehouse feel - it’s cozy, rustic, and perfect if you’re looking for something unique. It’s about a 7-minute ride to the main happening spots in Ella, and the hosts can easily arrange tuk-tuks for you. The views from the treehouse are absolutely magical, especially when the mist rolls in and covers the mountain tops. You can even spot the train passing by in the distance, which adds to the charm. That said, there were a few things that could be improved. The bathroom didn’t have a jet spray and the door couldn’t be locked, which was a bit inconvenient. There were also no curtains on the front glass door, which compromised a bit on privacy. Still, the charm and uniqueness of this place made it worth it - it felt like a peaceful escape surrounded by nature. Definitely a stay to remember!

Beautiful cabana on the beach where the turtles swim. The terrace and bathroom are both very spacious. For the beach days, there’s a garden for guests only with sunbeds and a shower. The whole family is very friendly and the food is delicious. You can rent snorkels, which was great. Would definitely recommend this place.

Navinda is the nicest person in Sri Lanka. He was very accommodating, drove us to Sigiriya without asking for money and prepared a very tasty breakfast. The property is very quiet, but you need a driver or a tuktuk to get to Sigiriya. All in all highly recommended.

My stay was everything I hoped for. Accommodation was gorgeous, very spacious, clean and the amenities were perfect. I loved the pool area the daily visits by the peacocks, monkeys, squirrels and birds was spectacular. Very safe and secure accommodation with the property manager always available if I needed him. The walk to the French Restaurant Ekkuku another highlight. I also enjoyed the full kitchen which was completely stocked with everything I needed.Jane was a fantastic host who was able to recommend places of interest and local restaurants.Jane communicated effectively and I am looking forward to booking again next year. I can highly recommend having a masseuse who can attend the shala on request. Easily arranged by Tharuka. The Cabana is well located from the villa so privacy is not an issue. A great place for a heath retreat with gorgeous views of the rice fields . Nice and quiet away from busy Matara Road yet close enough to walk to Midigama or a short trip in a tuk.

We had the privilege of spending the last five nights of our 2.5-week journey through Sri Lanka at Villa 1972, and it was an absolute highlight of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The food was excellent —whether it was the delicious breakfasts, the delightful snacks, or the exquisite dinners, every meal was prepared with so much care and flavor. A special mention must go to Dewon and Limesha, who truly made our stay unforgettable. They are two of the most wonderful, kind-hearted, and attentive people we’ve ever met. Their warmth and genuine hospitality added such a personal touch to our experience. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, outstanding cuisine, and the most incredible people, Villa 1972 is an absolute must. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to end our adventure in Sri Lanka. Thank you for the memories—we can’t wait to return!

We were very pleased! The accommodation is very quietly located in the middle of the garden of the owners and has all the amenities as indicated in the description. Through the glass windows you can look into nature. The breakfast was typical of the country and very, very tasty and lavish. We could even watch a monkey in the garden during our stay :). Requests were responded to at all times and we were asked several times if we wanted more supplies or something else. There would even have been a free ride to the cave temples (which we did not use because we had our own tuk tuk) and many tips for the surroundings. The only thing we were missing was a mosquito net.

The check-in process was quiet and one of the coziest stays I’ve had recently. The hosts were very welcome and greeted us with welcome drinks which is something I haven’t seen much around other than in hotels. Peaceful and felt like home after couple of seconds. Gemini personally gave us a lift from the train station and then to and from the place when we were out for dinner. The breakfast they offer is also not to be missed!

We were looking for a nice bungalow and a quiet area with a jungle feeling. We found that at Nittaya. Everyone was nice and helpful. The beach and shopping are just a few minutes away on foot. If you want to take a tuk tuk, you can order one in the suburbs. In town, a tuk tuk costs 300 LKR. We felt very comfortable in the bungalow and would book with Nittaya again any time. Highly recommended!

Our stay with Duminda was absolutely perfect. We were the first guests in the second new cabana, which was completely brand new and spotlessly clean. Duminda was a welcoming host who assisted us with all our questions and suggested great activities in the area. The breakfast was also excellent. We highly recommend staying here!

We booked with Malika because we wanted an authentic home stay experience in a quiet, rural setting and we found exactly this and more! From the moment we were handed a delicious, ice-cold, homemade lemonade on arrival, Malika made us feel like part of her family. Our 3 days with her were some of the best of our trip. The cabana is beautiful and rustic but still very comfortable with good facilities. There's no AC but we slept really well under the mosquito net and fan. The location is great - 3 mins walk to the beach (it's not safe to swim there) and in a quiet corner of Panama village. We spent our days walking on the beach and exploring the friendly village. Our evenings were spent chatting with Malika in her kitchen as she prepared the most delicious rice and curry dinners. Malika also arranged a safari for us to Kumana national park. We invited her and her family to join us and it was a very special day out Thank you for everything Malika! We had the best time & we'll miss u

Wow, this place is incredible. The hospitality of the hosts is second to none, with delicious breakfasts of traditional food and fresh fruit delivered every morning. The bungalow is quite spacious, very tropical and located only 5 minute walk from the stunning Goyambokka Beach. There is also a scooter that can be rented for a mere 2,500 Ruppees a day, meaning that it is easy to explore the area on your terms. You cannot find anything close to this quality for such a low price. We cannot recommend highly enough
