Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Sri Lanka

Hareesz was very friendly and helpful. Everything was to our satisfaction. The house is situated near the lake in a quiet environment. It is only about a 10 minutes walk to the town center. There are restaurants nearby. I would immediately go there again if I am visiting Kandy.

Renuka is such a gracious host. We stayed in a family room on our first night when we landed in Colombo. She gave us a great recommendation for a dinner spot. Our room initially had only 3 sleeping spots (we were 2 adults and 2 small kids) but she gave us a second room when we requested an extra bed. She also made us a lovely breakfast the next day with some delicious butterfly pea tea she had made. She even gave me some seeds to sow at home. A great first stay to kick off our Sri Lankan adventures!

This has been our favourite stay of Sri Lanka. Dileepa was so attentive, helpful and friendly, always there to assist. The room and balcony is beautiful with amazing views across the jungle. Don’t be put off by the distance into town - it’s so worth it for this slice of paradise. Thank you Dileepa and family!!! 🥹🤗

We have had a fantastic week here at Cococabana, with a spacious and well-equipped house, a park-like garden and a large and elegant swimming pool. In addition, the hosts Anne-Marie and Daniel are very positive and attentive, along with their pleasant staff. The dogs that live here are friendly and contribute to a great environment. When we arrived, we received a good overview of all the practicalities, and were met with a clean and delicate house, with fresh fruit and food in the fridge. We have been traveling around Sri Lanka for over two months, and this is without a doubt the most beautiful place we have stayed in. The property is located undisturbed right by the sea, but still only a nice walk or tuktuk ride to beaches, shops and restaurants. Here we have experienced everything we could wish for. We would be happy to return on a later occasion.

I couldn't stay due to a medical accident just a few days before coming to Maulie's place. I was in a bad status and in pain. I communicated to Maulie about the situation. I also understand I am not allowed to refund because it was one day before checking in. Maulie, on the other hand was focusing on how to help me, hospital or advice, and without me even asking, Maulie refunded me part of the fee too when she did not have to at all! I didn't buy travel insurance this time and I was really grateful for everything this lady has done for me. I couldn't tell about the place since I didn't get to stay there but I can say she is a wonderful person!

Sudesh's place is a dream! Super quiet with sourrounding jackfruit and palm trees. His mother and wife were cooking amazing sri lankan lunch and dinner for only a few dollars extra. The including breakfast with different type of fruit and baverages was really good. Sudesh is also owener of a tuktuk pick up which is really helpful to get into town. This homestay is defenetly recommended and is one of the prettiest we stayed at.

Everything was fantastic at Lilu’s! The place was clean, comfortable, and offered a stunning view. Breakfast was exceptional—truly one of the best I’ve had—and Lilu was an incredible host. She even arranged a personalized tuk-tuk tour for me to visit the waterfall, Nine Arches Bridge, tea factory, and Little Adam’s Peak. I was so impressed that I hired the same driver the next day to take me to Udawalawe. The location is within walking distance to the city center, which is super convenient—but I’d recommend bringing a flashlight if you’re walking at night, as some areas can be quite dark.

Had a great time at Serendip villa. Mr. samana was very responsive.The room provided was neat and clean.A big shout out to caretaker Nisha for reaching out to help whenever needed. Many thanks to Samana and appreciate their hospitality.

By far the best Airbnb we had in our time in Sri Lanka. The small private pool was a cool refreshment as well as breakfast included in the morning. The whole complex was very well maintained and everything was kept tidy daily.

Vajira's place is worth a stay when in Kandy. The room is very nice / super comfy beds and a great shower!

We left super grateful for our stay with Thilina. She's an amazing person, very friendly and keen to help her guests discover the region. We went to Sri Lanka as a group of girls, and Thilina planned for us what we wanted to visit and suggested some very interesting activities, he accompanied us every step of the way to explain things to us, like a guide. He knows lots of people and is very organised. For anyone looking for an authentic, local holiday, we would 100% recommend going to him.

Our stay at Ketature Beach House in Weligama was beautiful and a real highlight of our trip! The family's warm hospitality immediately made us feel welcome and at home. We were particularly impressed by the great cooking class we were able to experience together. An evening full of laughter, conversation and delicious food that we prepared ourselves. The loving nature of the family made this moment very special. The location of the beach house is incomparable – just 20 meters from the beach. In the morning we could walk directly to the sea and enjoy the sunsets in the evening. The food at the beach house was always delicious, varied, prepared with love and devotion. This place is perfect for anyone looking for hospitality, good food and proximity to the sea! We will be happy to come back.

We had another wonderful stay in the villa this year. This time I didn't book directly by the sea, but a little further back. The room was very big and the two beds were very comfortable. The terrace was a dream, where I could enjoy my coffee every morning at 7 a.m. with a great view of the sea. Breakfast was as delicious as always and really plentiful (great Sri Lankan breakfast on request) ❤️ The whole team is as helpful and friendly as always. You come as a guest and leave as a friend. Thank you, dear Maria, to you and your fantastic team.🙏❤️

Soorya Kala was our first accommodation in Sri Lanka, and I can only say it was the perfect start to our trip! The place is very modern, beautifully decorated, and absolutely clean. The location is a dream – right on the beach, with restaurants and shops within walking distance, and you can listen to the waves while falling asleep. The breakfast is included and incredibly delicious! But what impressed us the most was the hospitality from Nagulan and the whole team. We felt completely at home and would definitely recommend this place!

My stay at the Native was great. Diana and everyone who works there are so friendly and helpful. It was nice to be a little inland from the beach and see a different part of Weligama. Definitely walkable, but renting a scooter makes it more convenient. The breakfasts and coffee in the morning were all very delicious and a very nice added value to the room. Thank you for the great stay!

We loved staying at Slow Villa. The property was decorated to a very high standard. Very comfortable bed and a peaceful place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and prepared delicious breakfasts. The home made jams and ice creams were amazing. Slow Villa is situated on a steep hill which allows for cool breezes but is close to 3 amazing beaches. 2 within walking distance. We also loved how quiet the area was yet there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. We would definitely recommend.
