Lake house vacation rentals in Spirit Lake

This was a gorgeous little hidden gem! My bachelorette weekend was so group oriented and this house was the perfect setting for playing cards, beach/kayak day, and multiple trips into close-by restaurants and bars. The beds were very comfortable and the arrangements perfect for a larger group. It was clean and homey feeling, while also being away from the busy city area. We really enjoyed our stay!

Nice and low key! Away from the hustle and bustle but still close to town. Beautiful view of the sunsets over the lake!

Wonderful stay for a nephew's wedding. Cabin proved to be a great meeting place overall. Was surprised to discover that the 3 bedrooms in the main area are basically off of the kitchen - seemed odd. And the room with the bunked full beds appeared to be a sun room at one time. The place worked very well, however, as the emphasis was not on sleeping. We spent a lot of time hanging out in the garage (with the door open) too, which proved useful to keep the indoors kitchen / bedroom area on the quiet side. Thank you!

The place was pristine and beautiful. We could not have asked for a nicer weekend with family. There was plenty of space for all of us together and if you want to break away there is plenty of privacy as well. I would come back and recommend another stay. My grandsons caught lots of fish off the dock they had such a great time!

Just a great experience in a beautiful home. Cory checked in a couple times during our stay just to see how everything was. We would definitely stay here again!

Our second stay at Anchor's Away with Cara as host was great. Being the first rental after the winter season for an April family wedding, there were a few kinks to work out. Cara was there for us within minutes and the couple of issues were resolved within an hour. Anchor's Away is a very homey cabin with 3 comfortable bedrooms set away from the main kitchen/living area. We hung out for hours around the kitchen table enjoying the lake view. Thank you!

Our stay was incredible! Lexi is a total rockstar and made sure we had anything and everything we could need…even starter firewood! The beds and couch were super comfy. The water pressure in the shower was awesome and there were plenty of towels, which was amazing. We are already looking forward to our next trip!

It was our first time visiting the Okoboji area. We loved our stay. We had 3 families in our group. The kids loved having the basement all to themselves. It was so nice having the dock to pull the boat up to each day, and for the kids to fish off of as well. The hosts were very friendly & offered many suggestions for places to visit/eat. The kitchen was equipped with all the necessary equipment needed for cooking, although we spent most of our day on the water and ate at various places in the area. Fun to boat right up to eat your meals from the water. That was an experience the kids loved! We were nervous with the recent floods that the water conditions wouldn't allow for boating/swimming activities. We did find it nice that given the 5mph limit on the water the kids could swim safely from the dock as well as out in the water with minimal waves. It was like we had the lake to ourselves! The visit during the week probably helped with that too?!? Definitely recommend!

Jana was a great host - very responsive and helpful. The house felt very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The beach is not really walkable from the house (at least not with all the lake gear), but Jana generously allowed us to use her golf cart - which was so great! We would definitely stay here again with our family.

This was a 5 star experience! Everything was just as described! If I had a question he was very quick to answer! The garage kept our kids busy and got the whole family to spend good quality time together with the games!! The cabin was very clean! overall no complaints and an amazing experience!

Natasha was a great host! Her home was clean, comfortable, and it was clear she thought of even small details to make our stay great! Wonderful location! Awesome deck to grill steaks! Floor plan of house was perfect for our group! You won’t be disappointed! We even had passes to the water park included!

We had a party of 11 people and the property was perfect for many lounging areas for our group. We especially enjoyed both the indoor and outside dining options and fully stocked supplies in kitchen was helpful. The location was great! We were able to walk all around Arnold's Park without every having to take our car anywhere -- to restaurants, bars, entertainment. we loved the decor and combo of the old and new. Wonderful stay - thank you!

I had such a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Lake Okoboji. The home was spotless and incredibly comfortable—it truly felt like a home away from home. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. The neighborhood is peaceful, and I appreciated being able to take walks and explore the beautiful surrounding area while feeling completely safe and secure. The location couldn’t be better—close to great restaurants, charming shops, and everything else you might need. It’s clear that a lot of care and attention has gone into making this a special place for guests. I’m so glad I found this spot and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

The place was great! Perfect for our group and nicely furnished with lots of beds! The only problem we ran into was the wifi didn’t work but overall great stay!

The games in the garage we are big hit with our grandkids.
