It's a short walk to convenience stores, restaurants and the Charleston Marina. Neighborhood is made up of small homes and mobile homes. Check yourself in with a lockbox. This is a cute little cottage built in the 1930's on the Williamson River. Down river, there are trout in it for fishing, catch and release only, anyone over 12 must have a license to fish. The deck at the back of the house is partially covered. The river is also great for playing, swimming (a little cold in spring) and for kayaking. There is a kayak rental store in town. The air is usually warm, 70's & 80's, on summer afternoons. There are stairs to enter the cottage. Great place to relax.

The property is residential and there is also the main residence nearby, although you have plenty of privacy and a private deck to enjoy on your own.

Up to 5 guests can sleep in our cottage comfortably. There is a full size sofa bed downstairs and a king size and twin bed upstairs in the loft. Our 7 acre organic farmstead is located off a quiet country road just two miles from downtown Cottage Grove, 4 miles from the I5 Highway exit and 22 miles from Eugene.

We are located 2 miles from the entrance to the Mary's Peak recreation area, the highest spot in the coast range. During winter, there is usually access to snow, only a 15 minute drive from our cabin to the top of Mary's Peak. Alsea Falls is a 25 minute drive. The coastal town of Waldport is a 45 minute drive, Oregon State University is a 20 minute drive away, and University of Oregon is 1 hour south of us. Cabin is on our private property where we live as well.
