Vacation rentals with lake access in Southern France

We had a great time at Paul's house. The views are magnificent, the pool is too. The living and dining area is open and bright and very suitable for groups. Also the division of the bedrooms. You have the option to retreat if you want. Paul was always available and gave us helpful tips. His father was also very friendly. Both speak good English. We will be happy to come back anytime!

We loved our stay in Besse-sur-Issole. It was the perfect spot during our trip—peaceful, charming, and full of local character. The Airbnb was clean, comfortable, and in a great location for walking everywhere. One of the best parts? The croissant from the local boulangerie—hands down the best we’ve had so far in southern France. We really enjoyed walking into the village square each morning, grabbing coffee, and popping into the little shops and restaurants. Everyone was friendly, and the vibe was relaxed and authentic. A great stop if you’re looking to enjoy a quieter side of Provence. We took multiple day trips, super easy from this cozy retreat. The Gorge du Verdon is a must. We had fun visiting Canne, Antibes and Nice. Great day trips, best was coming back to Besse. Thank you Helene and Roxane. We loved Berg….❤️. Thank you!!

Everything has already been said. The fisherman's house is located in an idyllic place and in an Olympian calm. We felt immediately at ease and Denys' welcome was very warm and friendly. Admittedly, some maintenance work is necessary, but as Denys says, various external factors mean that this is not always possible. But the feeling of living in symbiosis with nature makes you forget these small disadvantages.

We needed to enjoy a quiet moment, to rest for a long weekend of three days. The listing at this address seemed ideal, the reviews all unanimous… well… it's even better than we could have hoped for. The loft is very comfortable, spacious, nicely decorated, rare cleanliness…the best thing is the little touches all around you. The exterior is also very neat, swimming pool, jacuzzi accessible at any time and private, there is everything you need to feel good. Well, we could go on for a long time with the superlatives… breakfasts… meals…massages… but the icing on the cake is the hosts Anne-Lise and Frédéric… whose kindness and discretion complete this perfect and timeless moment. I was happy to be able to eat delicious and fresh strawberries. The surrounding environment was very peaceful and nice. The bathroom was not cramped and the cleaning condition was good.

Experience the most authentic rural life in South France.Beautiful stone house, beautiful lake view, even if you take a wrong turn to the lake, it is a beautiful trip.The room is very clean and cozy.The Host's wife and husband are very kind people, and they will give you a lot of privacy.The most special thing is the two hunting dogs, I want to take them home ∠ (｀ω´*).

Very nice apartment and particularly well equipped. Magnificent views of the mountains and Lake Annecy. Easy access by car or transit. Virginie was always very responsive to messages. We had a lovely stay

This place is amazing! The quiet nights on the patio, or walking down to the lake to enjoy the lights in the castle with evening setting on Lake Como were so wonderfully relaxing. I would recommend to anyone wanting to escape the insanity of Varenna. Other pluses. Town parking pass for Dervio. Amazing breakfast waiting for the ferry there, full kitchen for spectacular sunset meals with the best view of the lake!

We loved this apartment. The view from the balcony is wonderful - we spent hours watching all the activities and wildlife on and around the lake. The apartment was just as listed, spotless, comfortable, with everything you could need... such a great place to stay - wish we could have stayed longer!

An absolutely amazing place to stay. The apartment was really spacious and decorated to a very good standard. Gloria was brilliant and even sent a video showing wear exactly to park. As in so many other reviews the view was simply breathtaking and whatever time of day you sat on the patio the view showed something new. So easy to walk anywhere with supermarkets and restaurants close by as of course were the amazing attractions. Thoroughly recommended.

James was a wonderful host. Easy and accommodating check in and responsive to all our concerns and questions. Location was fantastic very central and easy to walk to all attractions and transportation.

What a place! We traveled to a lot of different locations on our vacation, and this place was one of the best! The views are like a dream. The place felt very homey, and a good gathering spot in the living room to relax and talk. I'd highly recommend.

The bed was cozy, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the overall atmosphere made us feel right at home. One of the best parts was the location—just steps away from the ferry terminal, which made exploring the area incredibly easy and stress-free. Daniela, the host, was absolutely wonderful. She was warm, friendly, and very responsive to any questions I had. She even allowed me to check in early, which was a huge help and really set the tone for a relaxing stay. Her hospitality made the whole experience even better. I would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting the area, and I’m already looking forward to staying here again in the future!

We loved the place! Awesome scenery, beautiful house, quiet and great energy.

What a wonderful location being quiet and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Nature totally surrounds you and the bird life is amazing. The house was spotless and very comfortable with many nice touches. There is a lot to see and we particularly liked the Passage du Gois and Noirmoutier. Plenty of good restaurants and if you like seafood you will be in heaven. Thoroughly recommend and your host is very welcoming.

One of the most beautiful views I have seen.

We were warmly greeted by Alain and Clair on arrival – they couldn’t have been more welcoming, and their kindness really set the tone for our stay. The setting was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, a real escape from the hustle and bustle. The highlight for us was sitting and looking out at the river and waterfall right next to the property – the view was stunning and the sound of the water was so soothing. We left feeling completely relaxed and recharged. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful nature bubble! The cottage is very nice, over-equipped and tastefully decorated!! The welcome was also very friendly, we already want to go back 😊

It is fantastically beautiful in the accommodation and on the huge estate. We had a separate garden and were also allowed to use the rest of the complex including the lake, swimming pool, disc golf course, various walking paths. The property is much larger than we could imagine in the pictures. We are completely in love and can recommend it 1000 percent. The host is super friendly There are no wishes left unfulfilled.
