Houseboat vacation rentals in Southern France

Unusual accommodation exactly what we were looking for for our Christmas vacation. There would certainly be another way to moor the boat because the squeaking of the rope on the hull somewhat disrupts sleep. An excellent position facing the Château de Saumur and a well-equipped boat to have a pleasant stay on the Loire.

A small family weekend with my partner, great view, comfortable cottages with essentials on board, welcoming and friendly host, city center and lots of activities within easy walking or public transport. Great! Thanks for the weekend!

Great time spent with the kids in Bordeaux and in this atypical and comfortable accommodation: quality bedding, cleanliness of the premises… The boat was located close to transport and the city center 👍

Perfect for shutting down!! The "cabins" are all individually in the forest as a tree house or swimming on the water. The place is simple but in high quality construction. In our cabin on the lake we had a Scandinavian SPA (warm water, perfect for colder seasons) overlooking the lake - fantastic! Breakfast is brought to the cabin in a basket in the morning and serves its purpose perfectly. For showering, you go to the main building, where large modern shower cabins are waiting. We were able to complete our trip with a walk around the lake and a small boat trip (good possibility for a picnic on the water). The staff is super suited and extremely helpful!

If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful surroundings, this is the place. Our stay was perfectly relaxing and you will have to look hard to find a better host! Urs made everything very easy and he is a true Gent. So many things to like and enjoy about the place, from very peaceful early morning walks enjoying the sunrise, to the silent pitch dark nights with spectacular night sky views. A fantastic and magical place, highly recommended, beautiful pond, breakfast bar and restaurant. There is the possibility of various activities and the spa with massages we could not do it that we did not have the costume, but we count for next time!

We felt super comfortable on Marie-Laure's houseboat. It was really special for us. The boat is kept simple but really clean and well-equipped. You have everything you need. We spent a lot of time on the sun deck: you have a lot of peace and a great view there. The area is also really fantastic: you can borrow a kayak or the like right next door and drive through the canal to the nearby lake. Supermarket, bakery, restaurants and bars are also right around the corner. The host, Marie-Laurie, was super friendly and very helpful. It was a pleasure meeting you in meeting her. All in all, really highly recommended!!

a different kind of accommodation! You feel like a little captain on the houseboat. Everything very clean, great view of the water. The hot tub was the highlight for my teenagers! We were only there one night, but the houseboat was perfect for that. For a longer stay, I recommend a maximum of 2 people.

What an exceptional place to stay for a few unforgettable days on the water! Sitting in the living room and watching the ducks and swans pass by... relaxation is easy. Highly recommended for cooler days due to the great pellet stove!

Staying in the houseboat of Florence was a unique experience. The view at the water is magical, the spaces are arranged with great taste and are very convenient. Florence and Gil welcomed us as if we were longtime friends. A very nice experience that I warmly recommend.

We had a pleasant weekend in the Houseboat. It's really an unusual place, where we're lulled by the small waves, and the boat owners are respectful. Alexandre was super responsive every time we had contact together. Note that you must follow the instructions that Alexandre provides in the videos. If you hear the sound of the pump, it's normal, you just have to draw a little water (or flush). We recommend this place 100%. Thanks again. I'll see you.
