Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Southern France

This is the most magical place we’ve ever stayed. The owners invite you to stay in the castle where they live and you are transported to another place and time. The hospitality, the breakfast, the beautiful rooms, the charcuterie and wine on the terrace over the moat, the garden and access to the paths on the grounds: the ambience of the entire place is off the charts. My favorite part might be the mural filled with birds, flowers, butterflies and other creatures in all four seasons painted by the owner. It fills all four walls of a dining room! The whole experience is one you’ll always treasure.

Coming back to Nadia’s house feels like visiting a favorite relative — if that relative had an insanely charming home overlooking Lake Como and made the world’s best homemade breakfast every morning. The room is old in the most beautiful way, full of character and little details that make you smile. Nadia herself is a gem — warm, attentive, and just so real. She thinks of everything before you even realize you need it. We’ve stayed here a few times now and honestly, it keeps getting harder to leave. By far the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at — nothing else even comes close. If you're lucky enough to find it available, book it. Just leave a spot for us too!

Très belle bâtisse, située sur les hauteurs avec un très bel extérieur. Au sein du loft, de beaux espaces avec de grandes chambres et trois salles de bain. Petit bémol : l’annonce ne précise pas que le logement est au deuxième étage avec des escaliers raides, pas évident avec enfant en bas âge et séniors. L’accès au jardin n’est pas pratique de ce fait.

A simply wonderful stay. This beautiful chateau is in a lovely setting, a huge park and forest, filled with history, and the owners made us feel at home immediately. I can't see a better place if one is searching for an idyllic setting in the French countryside. It is rather remote, which we loved, but then you can also easily get to (by car) innumerable chateaux in the lovely Centre-Val de Loire region. Everything is just as in the pictures and the rooms are spotlessly clean, comfortable and beautifully renovated in the style of the chateau. Ellen prepared us an amazing petit-déjeuner each day which we enjoyed in the charming dining area. We felt absolutely spoiled! I fell in love with this place, I really want to come back soon and stay longer! Thank you Ellen and Paul for sharing your space!

Wonderful! We loved staying in the old home with so much charm! We had breakfast and enjoyed the recommendations we were given to explore the towns! It’s truly a beautiful town and such an experience!!

Logement très sympathique dans une ville très sympathique. La terrasse à l'étage est très agréable, avec une vue sur le coucher de soleil. La ville semble également assez dynamique, avec des petites activités sur la place à proximité de l'appartement. seul bémol, c'est difficile de venir en voiture près du logement, le plus pratique est de se mettre au parking le plus proche et de finir à pieds (5 minutes de marche).

Een heerlijk verblijf bij de gastvrije Sara. We voelden ons meteen thuis op deze fijne plek en hebben samen met onze honden genoten van 1 nachtje wat eigenlijk te kort is. Een lekkere maaltijd en smakelijk ontbijt met verse producten maakte alles tot een hemels verblijf. Ps lees goed de route beschrijving op air b en b dat hadden wij niet gedaan en maakte het moeilijk om te vinden gelukkig kon Sara ons meteen helpen.

Der Besuch bei Corinne war super, sie hat uns die Unterkunft gezeigt und alles erklärt. Das Frühstück war köstlich und herrlich angerichtet. Sie hat uns auf Nachfrage eine Karte von Toulouse gegeben und eingezeichnet, was wir dort besichtigen konnten. Wir haben ein Abendessen bei ihr gebucht, welches echt super lecker war (Vorspeise, Hauptgang, Nachspeise). Gegessen haben wir alleine, man hat also auch Privatsphäre, aber wenn man das Gespräch gesucht hat, ist sie beim servieren auch darauf eingegangen. Sie war sehr kommunikativ und konnte auch Englisch und Spanisch sprechen. Beim Abschied haben alle nicht mehr an den Schlüssel gedacht, den wir noch in der Tasche hatten 😆 Den konnten wir aber per Post zurück senden. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können diese Unterkunft bestens empfehlen.

Words cannot explain how lovely this place is! We enjoyed 3 nights here. Monica is a wonderful host and cook!! The scenery is breathtaking. The accommodations perfect. We explored much of the country side. We look forward to returning someday. It felt like we were at home. Thank you Monica for everything!

Maya’s place was our idea of a getaway. You get to connect with the nature and get to experience a bit of the life of the locals. Maya was a super super host; we felt welcomed and right at home. Really pretty room and area, wish we could have stayed longer!

As described and more. A beautiful family and home , we were made to feel very welcome, we cannot recommend enough. The apartment was emaculate with everything you need for your stay, fabulous comfortable bed, great Italian breakfast with lots of local specialities. A short walk into the town. Fabulous spot to relax before our onward journey.

Despite bad weather we had a awesome time, Como is a beautiful place, and Carna is a helpful, service minded and friendly host. Always fast to fulfil any request and help in anyway possible. The location is stunning and the rooms, common areas and pool are very nice. The takeaway food from the local restaurant (provided by Carna) was very good! I would recommend anyone to visit!

Viviane was super nice and gave us a great welcome and local recommendations. We had nice communication even though our French is not the best. The location and the pool view are magical!! The accommodation was clean and fresh and it worked well with the shared bathroom with the other guests. We hope to be back some day!

WOW! Such a beautiful spot! The Airbnb was absolutely perfect and stunning. The views and pool were perfect as well. Alex and his family are so kind and they made for a perfect stay. He organized a wine tasting and dinner that were both fantastic. Breakfast delivered in the morning! WOW!

Un séjour plus que merveilleux ! Nous avons découvert un cadre hors du temps, le logement de Jean Claude et Martine et calme et reposant . Un vrai havre de paix . La décoration est faite avec goût . Les hôtes sont d'une extrême gentillesse !! Le petit déjeuner est trop bon ! Je recommande sans hésitez et je reviendrai avec grand plaisir ! Merci encore ☺️

Superbe séjour chez Philippe et Alain. La maison est magnifique, en pierres blanches du Quercy, avec un jardin plein de charme. Jolie chambre confortable, et superbe terrasse avec piscine. Nous avons adoré les petit-déjeuners, délicieux et très copieux. Un lieu magnifique et une très belle rencontre, merci encore pour tout !

Wir hatte eine tolle und sehr persönliche Zeit bei Dominique und Daniel. Sie haben uns sogar vom Flughafen abgeholt, obwohl wir erst sehr spät angekommen sind. Das Frühstück war sehr süß und ein schöner Start in den Tag. Der Kontakt ist sehr persönlich und fast familiär. Wir haben uns rundum total wohl gefühlt!

Our stay in Margaux's guest house was our favorite of our whole trip from Lyon to Nice. She and her husband, little son, and dog were all there to welcome us upon our arrival. Their property is the epitome of idyllic and we had such a wonderful stay. The restaurant in town was delicious - I recommend the tarte tian - and the staff are so friendly. So relaxing and peaceful. Wish we could have breakfast there every morning.

We loved our stay at Marco's house. He was so welcoming, giving us a tour when we got there and making sure we were all set. The house and surroundings/view are beautiful. We did not have a car, so we had to take a bus and walk a bit to get up to the house, but Marco gave clear instructions on how to do so. He went above and beyond, with a wonderful breakfast including a freshly baked cake. He even left us some fresh strawberries from his garden. If you are looking for true Italian hospitality and a beautiful view, this is for you!
