Barn vacation rentals in South West Wales

We had a lovely stay here. Phil and Alison’s place has so many different aspects to it that worked for us as: close to the beautiful costal walls, lovely house (v comfy beds and lovely ceramics around the house), a games room, a hot tub, the lovely pond and the ducks and chickens, a lovely log burner … all we needed for a long weekend and a lovely open plan living area that made for a very inclusive experience. Phil and Alison were very welcoming and responsive. I’d definitely recommend this place and hope to return one day.

A beautifully restored farm building with lovely fittings and a well equipped kitchen. The en suite bathrooms are an added bonus. The cottage is well positioned to explore the Gower Peninsula. We had a happy stay.

We had a lovely few days at the Barn, using is as a base to explore the valleys, and sights in Carmarthenshire. The Barn is lovely and cosy - and actually feels bigger than it looks on the pictures. We loved the wood burning stove, with fuel provided and fire made the first night, which was a real treat to use - and if you are visiting at the right time of year, be sure to look outside at the stars in the dead of night, because we were able to see so much. The place would be easy to miss if you didn’t know where you were going, but we had very clear instructions beforehand and found it no trouble. To anyone wondering about the internet - some reviews here mention WiFi, but as advertised, there is no WiFi - which we actually enjoyed. If you need internet, mobile data doesn’t really work inside the barn, but was available as soon as one stepped outside, which was fine for our satnav purposes. Ann also offered to help us access the internet if there was an issue, but this wasn’t needed.

The Old Stone Barn is absolutely amazing. This is the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. It is spotless and has everything you could possibly need. The owners go above and beyond to provide a welcoming and relaxing place to stay. It has a lovely garden and a barn next door with table tennis and pool table that our boys really enjoyed. We loved exploring the surrounding area. There is lots to see and the Mwnt Beach which is only 10 mins drive away is absolutely stunning.

A lovely stay, had everything you could possibly need - we had two infants with us and loved the amount of space. Felt like we where out in the countryside but only 5mins from a big food shop. Lots of lovely walks nearby

What a beautiful home and location! Perfect for a weekend getaway with the family. Host and owners on site was excellent, giving local recommendations and freedom to explore the amazing surroundings. House was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed.

We had a lovely stay for 9 days at this beautiful house. The property was extremely clean and comfortable. It’s a charming two-story home with two full bathrooms, two bedrooms, and a sofa bed. The house was cozy and well-equipped for our needs. The farm was a highlight for our kids, who loved feeding the cows and interacting with the animals. The owners, who live in the main house and run the family farm, were incredibly welcoming, especially toward our children. They made our experience even more special. The location is perfect for exploring Wales. There are many picturesque towns and small cities nearby, and it’s an ideal base to discover the region’s stunning beaches and attractions. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend this lovely house.

We loved our stay at Hannah's place. Lovely home, perfect for our family. The house is well set up with everything you'd need and really clean and tidy. Lots of things for our 2 year old daughter to do and play with and really safe for her too, stair gates, enclosed private yard etc. Hannah was very helpful with directions and providing things we asked for like a high chair and cot. The location is really peaceful and quiet and was perfectly situated to get to loads of great walks and other activities in the Beacons and surrounding areas. We would recommend staying here if you are planning a trip to the region.

Great little getaway home. The place was lovely and fitted what we needed perfectly. The host was quick at responding to any questions we had and gave us lots of goodies on arrival. Would highly recommend this place.

Trish and Paul were such great hosts. Hugely helpful and responsive and such lovely touches. Fresh flower on arrival and a gorgeous hand painted card. Great instructions to get into the place and lovely suggestions for enjoying the surroundings. The animals on site were such a joy to get involved with and Paul was so kind to let us collect eggs and feed the chickens, goats and alpacas. Would definitely recommend this tranquil spot. We stayed for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. the Stables is gorgeous, spotlessly clean and tidy. It was a lovely calming space to be in. The hot tub was amazing and made our 13 year old very happy. Super spacious bedrooms, fully usable kitchen, comfy sofa - perfect! This was close to many, many places and ideal for families. Easy to book, clear instructions on how to get to and get in the property. We would most definitely stay again and highly recommend.

What a place. Fantastic property with everything to make it a home from home. The property is better than the pictures, the location is wonderful and the hosts couldn’t be more attentive. Communication spot even, even as a last minute booking.

Such a lovely accommodation, we all really enjoyed it especially our 2 dogs ❤️🐾 The place was very clean and Huw had provided us with extra bedding for the sofabed. Huw provided us with clear instructions on how to get to/into the property and had recommendations of things to do in the welcome pack in the accommodation. We loved arriving to Welsh cakes, tea, coffee and mini eggs which our son enjoyed! The hot tub was very spacious and clean which was perfect and just what I needed. We're looking forward to booking again. Thank you 😊

The stay at The Byre exceeded all expectations by a long way. The spectacular location coupled with the high spec detail of the property make this a truly memorable place. The hosts, Sam and Neil were communicative throughout, so welcoming and very happy to show us around the farm including feeding the lambs and taking the pet lambs for a walk! The Byre is the perfect escape from all the hustle and bustle of life, but not so remote as the top hiking walks in the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains are only a short drive away as are some lovely local pubs/restaurants serving top notch, hearty food. I would highly recommend a stay here and I will definitely be back again - making it a third stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful place. The cabin is comfortable, stylish, and extremely well equipped, and the views, the privacy, and the sense of peace were unparalleled. We decided to arrive fully provisioned so that we didn't need to get in the car once we turned up, and were very glad to do so as the serenity of the location was something to savour. The hot tub took us awhile to figure out but the hosts were really helpful and responsive and even sent someone round to give us some tips in person which turned out to be invaluable - and the experience of soaking in hot water and taking in the view was one that no one should miss! We also really enjoyed the local walks across the common with lovely vistas in all directions. Highly recommended and we hope to be back.

We had such a lovely stay at the barn. The photos really don't do it justice, and I felt like we found a real steal. It was a great base for exploring Glastonbury and ham wall. The beds were comfortable and the house well equipped. We had a small issue with the WiFi and Michelle immediately responded to messages about it and sent someone over to look at it. We asked if we could check out half an hour later and Michelle kindly obliged. I really appreciated her flexibility and how seriously she takes hosting. We hope to stay again

First of all a massive thank you to our host, Rhys and his brilliant assistant Dan, for a great stay! The house was spotless, and his friendly, welcoming and knowledgable personaility made us feel right at home and he had some fantastic suggestions for things to do. We had a great time staying at this AirB'nB. Your property was stunning, everything was clean and tidy and well laid out plus all the amenities we could ever need. If we are ever in the area this will be our first choice everytime. The whole experiance was a 11 out of 10, and really helped make our holiday special. It was a privillage to be able to stay here and would re-book in a heartbeat. Amazing all round!

Had a great stay at Sarah's (Dobbie's) barn. Loads of space and had pretty much all we needed.

It was the perfect place for my family to stay. Ages ranged from 18-85 and everyone managed everything really well. We were in Pontardawe for my brothers funeral and I wanted to stay somewhere peaceful. That’s exactly what it was. There are many beautiful places to go nearby should we have required them but peace was what was needed and that’s what we got. Lovely host and was on hand if we needed anything. We didn’t because everything was there. A proper home from home. I couldn’t thank her enough for letting us stay in her classy but homely Airbnb

We had a fantastic stay at Dawn’s place. Extremely clean and well equipped. Dawn was hugely helpful and very responsive to all our questions and requests. It was a perfect place to stay, lovely and quiet, secluded and yet very close to the shops and the motorway. Seeing the horses and lambs each day was lovely, with the added bonus of a woodpecker too.

A first-class stay for our family of 5. The 'package' far exceeds the description! If you like the idea of walks in a private wood, down to a quaint stream then this is for you! The host provided incredible experience for our family (3 children 5 and under). Lots to do nearby, and the recommendations provided are perfect for all visitors! To top off each day is the hot tub and fire for the adults! All in all, the perfect stay for us, and most highly recommended!

A delightful place to stay. All mod cons including TVs in both bedrooms. Tastefully furnished and very well equipped. Hywel was an excellent host and was very proactive. We had a lovely meal in the Carew Inn who provided the biggest chips I've ever seen. Highly recommend a stay. We hope to return.
