Beechwood Nook

Crown Lodges are located in the Heart of the Rossendale valley- Crawshawbooth. There are three lodges in total all situated around a 140sq/m lodge with breath taking views, it is the perfect escape to the country. The site is brand new and was built by owner and host Sam through the covid-19 pandemic 2018-2021 with his keen eye for building, the site is loved and adored by many of the locals and has proved a massive hit so far. Beechwood nook located to the left hand side of our site features the most privacy of the three cabins on its own stretch of pathway. Enjoy beautiful nights in your hot tub from this natural beauty spot, our lodges have something for everyone and we believe they are all-in luxury. They feature luxury kitchens, luxury bathrooms, log burners, free standing bath upstairs next to your bedroom area and everyones favourite a 2mx2m hot tub. Tip from us-Be ready with drinks in the hot tub for when it goes dark, the site lights up like something you see when your abroad and looks incredible, you can see our site from the other side of the valley which we think looks amazing. Crown Lodges is situated on a public footpath which has miles and miles of walking, for all of you that enjoy a stroll. We recommend downloading the walking app Komoot and downloading the local pack which is priced as much as a small coffee, this is like google maps for walking enthusiasts. For local things to do, I think we are up there with the best. Our local town Rawtenstall has undergone major development in the last couple of years and is getting better and better all the time. We have Rawtenstall market which has been taken over and turned into a food heaven. Once a month it has 'foodie Friday' and is packed with local stalls selling street food and deserts. Then we have Avuccirea, fire pit, La Turka, Tiger lounge and GemNi just to name a few. All providing excellent quality of food and drinks. We have a variety of bars, pubs and cafes too, far too many to mention. We are also 40mins on the x43 bus to Manchester City centre and the bus stop is within 15mins walk from our site (big hill back up not for the faint hearted). We also have the very last temperance bar in the country Mr Fitzpatrick's established in 1899 which recently featured on the hairy bikers, this is 100% worth a visit. Ideal for couples looking for a quiet getaway but still close to exciting things to do, this brand new development is your number one hot spot for 2021. Once you come you will not want to leave, from experience our site looks so incredibly different every season. We have fantastic summers and snowy winters. One thing to note: Upstairs in the Beechwood nook cabin is restricted head height, so if your very tall you may want to pick one of the other lodges. If this doesn't bother you then its a cosy little space upstairs. The rest of the Lodge is 2.3m head height so its just the upstairs that's restricted.

An absolutely fantastic stay! Really lovely little cottage for two of us and our dog. The property had everything we needed for a peaceful and relaxing weekend away. Our dog felt really at home as well, finding it very easy to settle. Our favourite part was being so close to the neighbouring farm and seeing the lambs and Shetland pony right outside the kitchen window. I really couldn’t recommend it more and would love to stay again, just bring thick socks or slippers as the floor can get cold in the kitchen.

We have absolutely loved our stay at Toadlands and cannot recommend it enough! 🩷 The location is just wonderful and allows you to completely destress and switch off. The hut itself was warm, cosy and super comfortable - it was a real home away from home. Sitting in the hot tub listening to the birdsong was such a treat, as was toasting marshmallows on the firepit under the stars. 🌌 It is clear from all of the tiny details, both inside the hut and out, that Jane really cares about your experience as guests and we really appreciated her thoughtfulness in this aspect. We will definitely be returning to Toadlands in the not so distant future, and would urge who is after a complete retreat from the world to book in - you will not regret it! 🥰

Very enjoyable stay and very peaceful. Nice time to relax in the hot tub and the bed is very comfy. Only downside was there were no logs for the fire as due to the time of year it was very cold and sometimes a struggle to get warm but the hot water bottles provided helped.

The hut itself is tranquil and the views are just beautiful, the outdoor shower is bliss & an experiance in itself & the location is so ideal for exploring all of what Settle & the surrounding areas has to offer, This place is truly enchanting, we had the most amazing 2 days exploring, unwinding & fully disconnecting from our busy lives. Our two dogs absolutley loved it, exploring the secure grounds & forest & playing to their hearts content, so much so our Collie did not want to leave! We really enjoyed our stay here and have already recommended it. Loved being so close to the beach, the views are amazing. Unfortunately both nights were cloudy so we didn’t get the full sunset but it was still a beautiful view. The cabin was just as described, and as most other reviews we didn’t really leave the area, just for a lot of beach and coastal walks which also had amazing views. We ventured for lunch to the cafe one day, which we would also recommend really nice food and so convenient location wise. Everything else we’d brought home cooked food to heat up in the oven and all things we needed were provided in the cabin. And the hosts left some brilliant and useful goodies when we arrived like milk, juice, muffins and some amazing cookies.

From the instant we booked our stay both Alan and Cheryl communicated amazingly, providing us with all the information we would need for our stay which made travelling and arriving at the location incredibly easy. The Tommy Bit hut is beautifully rustic with simple but sufficient amenities, but this was part of the charm. The view from the front doors was stunning and the quiet mornings surrounded by bird song was lovely. We made use of the hot tub on site one evening during our stay, which was a great experience and one we would greatly recommend. Alan explained the process and was very helpful. Would highly recommend for a peaceful rustic getaway, surrounded by beautiful walks and not too far from the nearest town for food and drink. Would like to visit again!
