Vacation rentals with a kayak in South Kingstown

Lynne's place is excellent. The house is vintage and not perfect, but it was exactly what we were looking for. There are lots of comfortable sleeping locations, several areas for people to spread out, multiple common areas for talking, 2 outside patio areas, and a fire pit with wood by the lake. The furniture is clean and comfortable throughout the house. Kitchen is fully stocked with plates, pans, accessories, etc. The outside grounds are beautiful and well kept. There are many natural borders to keep pets easily contained (no fence). Groceries and restaurants are about 10 minutes away, but when you are at Lynne's place, it is a very quiet area.

This house is a cozy beach cottage in a great location! The deck and yard were the best part of the rental with the beach parking pass and beach supplies a total bonus. We had a great stay at this house. Location: It is walkable to a couple cafes, restaurants and an ice cream window by about a mile so location was not only beautiful on the water but convenient for errands. To note, two of the bedrooms are tight in size and don’t have central air or ceiling fans so they got very hot at night. There is also no tub for anyone traveling with little kids who may need a wash up. We spent the majority of our time outside in early August and this house was perfect for that.

Our stay here was amazing! So much attention to detail was put into every aspect of this home. It was spotless and very well maintained. We enjoyed being able to use the kayaks, paddleboards, and canoe. We never felt like something was missing and never had a hard time finding what we needed. It is such a quiet and peaceful area and we spent a lot of time just sitting by the water relaxing. We loved being able to have a fire right by the water as well. The downstairs game room/theatre was a blast as well. Overall I would 100% book a stay here in the future and highly recommend it.

This was our second stay and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. The house is beautiful, very well kitted out and thoughtfully presented. The location is tranquil and restful. Ann is the perfect host. We love it here. X

Arthur is a fantastic host, very responsive, flexible and thoughtful. It’s a beautiful house with great views, packed with amenities, fully stocked kitchen and amazingly clean. Beautiful and relaxed setting, with plenty of place to sit and enjoy. Definitely recommend!!

Our family enjoyed a week long stay at this beautiful property. Stunning home on the water. Everything we needed was there at the home. Home is pristine. The area was beautiful. Great walking areas and some great restaurants in the immediate area. Short drive to Newport or other surrounding areas. The host was excellent. There to answer any questions we had and never had to wait long for a response. Great stay!

It’s difficult to succinctly state how wonderful the experience is at the Grange Cottage. Aside from the peaceful and historical cottage, the hosts put it over the edge. Both Stephen and Dean were so friendly and made us feel at home. When you only get away from daily life infrequently, these little getaways mean a lot. Everything you read about the property and these hosts is true. The value is incredible for what you get. It’s a labor of love for these hosts and it shows. I just kind of hope it doesn’t get TOO popular so that I can book it again!

Chris’s listing is exactly as described. I know in previous reviews people have mentioned the TV not working, but it worked fine when we were there. The home was absolutely stunning. I definitely got some ideas of some deco. I want to add to my home. Chris was very easy to communicate with and responded very quickly to any inquiries or concerns that we might have had.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. It was so very peaceful and we loved being literally right around n the water! Slept amazingly well and the cottage was just lovely! Robert was also a great host. 5 stars all around and we hope to return again!

Linlin was a wonderful host and we loved this adorable cottage. It was incredibly clean, while still being warm and welcoming for us (and our pup). It's a little farther from the water than we had anticipated, but it's a relatively short and private walk to a dock with kayaks and beautiful views. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at Great Gull’s! The location was perfect, walkable to all of the shops and restaurants. We even walked to the Seaport. Having the kayaks there was awesome, we enjoyed our first experience kayaking as a family! We loved walking to ice cream and bringing it back to sit on the patio and watch the bridge go up and down. I would highly recommend this place! And the owner, Gerard, was extremely attentive!

Quaint home, we slept comfortably in the main bedroom. Beautiful surroundings and view off the deck. I really enjoyed the peacefulness of the area.

John was extremely communicative even before the trip! He was quick to respond and the house was stocked with essentials. John even went above and beyond by adding seat covers to the outdoor seating for us to have a family event in the backyard, which is an awesome space! If/when we come into town again we will definitely look to stay here again!

My sister, dog and I stayed at the cottage for the weekend and had a great experience! Erika is a wonderful host and the property is beautiful. The cottage itself was exactly as pictured. Breakfast in the inn, cooked with natural and organic ingredients, is an absolute must. The location of the inn is great as well, with direct access to the Lantern Hill trail (which our dog loved) and only a short drive from downtown. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The home was as described in the listing. Amber was very responsive, kind, and made us feel welcomed. We stayed at Amber’s home to attend a concert in the area. If we’re in the area in the future, I would book this house again.

My boyfriend and I had the most amazing stay at EvenTide. We were so impressed by all of the thoughtful touches and amenities. There were fresh flowers, eggs, s’mores supplies, and the best surprise was finding out the fire wood was already all set up in the fire pit for us to use. The island is stunning and we loved traveling around on the cruiser bikes and exploring all of the hidden spots. We enjoyed sandy beach and the lighthouse beach most, and had a beautiful sunset view on sunset trail. Grilling at EvenTide, lounging on the hammock, and cooling down in the amazing outdoor shower were just a few added perks. 10/10 recommend this place, we hope to return next summer!

Great camp and peaceful area. Angela is a great host and very accommodating. I have stayed twice and would definitely come back again.

Clean and cozy cabin. Close to Mystic without being right in the thick of it. We enjoyed a night by the fire with a friendly local fisherman. It worked nicely for our short trip to the area.

We’re so glad we found Paul’s rentals at Stonington Marina! This is a wonderfully unique stay in a great area with lots to do, and Paul’s cottages at the marina provide a peaceful, homey place to relax and enjoy. It was great to kayak over to Sandy Point and enjoy the beach like a local. If you want to catch and prepare your own fish, he’s got the stuff for that in the patio/fire pit area. Or you can get some fresh catch in nearby Stonington borough. Otherwise there’s a host of excellent restaurants nearby and Paul’s recommendations will steer you well. The cottage itself was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Again, a great find!

We had the most peaceful, relaxing weekend at lakeside landing! The house itself is a 10 out of 10, absolutely adorable and had everything we could possibly need. The bed was sooo comfy and the views are just amazing! We enjoyed paddling around the lake during the day and the fire pit and hot tub at night! We didn’t leave the house once!! Highly recommend:)

Had a great time in this peaceful wonderful setting. Saw and heard maybe 40 bird species. (Using Merlin app). Frogs and turtles too!everything we needed! Beds are very comfortable!

We had a wonderful stay at the marina. Paul is an excellent host; very friendly and responsive. He gave us recommendations for local restaurants and they were all great. The location is very convenient as a base for visiting local attractions and exploring the area, and the setting right along the Cove is peaceful. We highly recommend a stay here.

Angela's place is beautiful. I woke up every morning to the sound of birds singing. It was so peaceful and quiet. There are beautiful horses on the property. The sauna is awesome, and the lake a treat. Angela is charming and helpful. Very quick to respond to questions. The cabin was perfect for my husband, me, and our two dogs. It might be tight for 4 adults. If you like nature, this is perfect. The cabin is half an hour away from most sightseeing locations.
